    exactly what i was looking for! After checking out the ALIVE modules for the first time i thought i would never learn to use it.
    Seriously dude... all those fucking modules... haha
    Also enjoyed watching how you go about making a mission, intuitive!

    Hey, I've been trying to set up a custom combat support (a hybrid purpose heli on a destroyer) and the game, for some reason, it's identifying these other helis that spawn in and explode as the relevant heli instead of the one it's synced to.

    2:43 sooo i can edit the loading image ? 🤔 is there any videos on that specifically im new to arma 3 and play using a controller (actual gameplay only) but also not experienced with scripting and coding etc... all that fancy stuff but would like to learn for sure . I know this is 1year ago but if you see this by chance any help with where i could learn this from would be massively appreciated big time 😊

      For the loading image, there are several ways to go about it but I find the simplest is this: Either have a folder called "images" or if you don't care about organizing your mission folder at all you don't need to worry about that. Create a jpg with dimensions 1024 x 512, it must be this dimension(there is a caveat to this if you search for it on the arma wiki but to simplify just use this res). in the mission menu you enter the location of the jpg in your mission folder, so if it is in the images folder you will type "images\loading.jpg" or if it is in your root mission folder you would just type "loading.jpg". Keep in mind when doing this that the slash must be a backslash "\" NOT a forward slash "/". If you need more help let me know.

      ​@95percentrookie thank you 😊 so much for your detailed response i appreciate that so much i rarely even get a response period from questions and such on content creators how to videos even though i dont understand much of whats written here(due to my learning and mental health challanges) , im going to copy and paste in into my notes on my phone so i can use a program to read it back to me a couple of times and research multiple details of your guide . It sounds complicated well I mean it is somewhat but honeatly well worth it for me to beable to learn more on what and how to do in this game ive literally been working for over 2 years to beable to play arma 3 using my controller now with a chatpad and proscroller and MMB attachment now to just recreate a preset on steam manager or rewasd then ill be golden and also discovered voice command the other day im little late to the party but regardless im here now and hopefully soon some lebanon 🇱🇧 based campaigns will be pouring in like draft beer at a car rally 🏁 🏎 🏇 🏁 😂😂👍🏻😎

    I have yet to receive an answer on how to change the compositions that spawn (HQs, roadblocks, etc) and was wondering if you knew how to overwrite them.

      Afraid I'm not too sure, as I don't usually use Alive composition other than the basic ones. I assume that there is some kind of classname system for compositions, but I'm not too sure how you would find them. Perhaps config viewer?

      @@95percentrookie what was the name of the mod you showed at the bottom of the "General Settings" tab you opened at 1:58 the mission title and all that stuff you said that shows up at the bottom of your mission or Op when you load into the server ?. What was that called again ?. You were speaking too fast for my brain to comprehend what you were saying. Thanks Mike.

      You have to go into the actual files of the PBO to change it to items you want for example -- Classname_ (insert random building name) is the default, you switch it to something you want but doing so can affect the stability of the mod so just be aware of that

      yeah was gonna say, 3den enhanced adds a bunch of stuff, basically a must have for editing. Although be warned some of it's features don't work too well in MP.

      Hey, so I follow your instructions to the tee but alive keep spawning in the defaults faction like for opforce I want SFIA but it’s giving me ctat instead

      @@ghostpb9446 A few things:
      1) make sure logistics module(if you have it) is limited to faction, if it has "side and faction" it'll spawn CSAT
      2) double check that all of the faction classnames on objectives, commander, CQB, etc, is the exact classname for what you want. If it's off it will likely default to CSAT.
      3) Make sure the faction you want to use is compatible with ALiVE, if it is not it won't work obviously. I believe SFIA is compatible since I've used it before, so not sure if this could be an issue.
      4) Make sure the file name for the mission you are using is NOT the same as a previous save. If a mission has the same name, ALiVE will load the latest save for that filename, meaning that it will load previous units that shouldn't be there.
      5) double check everything is synced up properly, I know this can cause issues. Also, try to find out what type of units are spawning. For example, if they are full squads then you know it's an issue with the objectives modules, if it's pairs of units in buildings, it's an issue with the CQB module.
      If none of these work I'm not sure what else.

      Yup, same instructions. Although, you should host it in a LAN multiplayer game to enable respawns.
