I simply adored these handsome men, they all were a force to be reckoned with in their own right. They were always classy, dignified and elegant. They were all extremely talented. However, i loved Paul Williams because he sang deep from the bottom of his soul and he choreographed all of the dance steps for the Temptations. My greatest joy was seeing them perform at the Apollo Theatre, where I would sit in my seat and be completely mesmerized. I am grateful for those days where music had a message. Many thanks to these great men of song for contributing their extraordinary talents and sharing it with the world. i have been deeply enriched by their music.

The 5 originals have a place in my heart like they are family. It was like I knew them. I loved them. Very strange. I am so lucky I was a teen into young adulthood in the 60s-early 70s and got to own these songs for my own. We used to have nights at the dorm that were just Motown nights and dance our hearts out - despite it was already 'a ball of confusion' in the world - we got our inner soul channeled with the Temps, Tops and others.
I see why my mom loves there music so much it was the way these 5 men join there voices together to protect hits we all know and love..and Melvin franklin the deep bass
As much as I prefer the original group, Dennis was the perfect replacement. I love Dennis! His voice has that gruffness and soul that David's also had.
This came from an era when music really was music! None of this rap, record scratching garbage that they try to pass off as music these days. Back in those days artists whether black or white actually worked hard at their craft and brought a lot of joy to people through their songs. None of this cop killing, gangsta BS that goes on today!
The Motown sound will never be equalled. It didn't matter what color your skin was, the Temptations and Supremes and other Motown greats made us forget about race and just enjoy the music. We would hang out and had a portable jam box and would listen to Motown and sing along. Great music.
