    I simply adored these handsome men, they all were a force to be reckoned with in their own right. They were always classy, dignified and elegant. They were all extremely talented. However, i loved Paul Williams because he sang deep from the bottom of his soul and he choreographed all of the dance steps for the Temptations. My greatest joy was seeing them perform at the Apollo Theatre, where I would sit in my seat and be completely mesmerized. I am grateful for those days where music had a message. Many thanks to these great men of song for contributing their extraordinary talents and sharing it with the world. i have been deeply enriched by their music.

    The Motown sound will never be equalled. It didn't matter what color your skin was, the Temptations and Supremes and other Motown greats made us forget about race and just enjoy the music. We would hang out and had a portable jam box and would listen to Motown and sing along. Great music.

    Job well done to you the late great Temptations Rock & Roll Hall of famer Mr. Dennis Edwards. Take a bow and Rest peacefully my brother. The show may be over but your legacy will forever live on thru the music and memories you leave behind. Thru death the creator has reunited your soul with the late greats David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks along with the other deceased Temptations greats to make music together again on cloud nine.

      Yesssssss! I made a playlist on Spotify called Paul Williams (Leads & Features w/ The Temptations) The cover is them wearing yellow suits with Paul sitting down. He lead SO MANY SONGS. Idk why some of them weren't formally released!

    • @324cmac
      @324cmac 2 роки тому +4

      @@nikmariealex Some of Paul's early leads were released but didn't become hits. The music business is so crooked! Back then, you had to bribe DJs to play the records. Plus, Gordy didn't use Billboard and Cashbox to measure sales. He did his own metrics and he was so dishonest and selfish. He's been sued by many of his artists for keeping their money. I partially blame him for what happened to Paul. Paul's voice and showmanship were astounding!

      That is the very thing about those 'oldster' soul-and-rock gents ... their music and lyrics still fit into all the decades after them and to come ... which is why so many 'evergreen' radio stations around the world are still playing them til this day and beyond.

    dennis said that sly stone`s dance to the music, using different singers was an influence on the tempts of the late sixties/early 1970`s and you can see it here, especially at the end. great.

      +Willie Finn I have listened to quite a few interviews by Otis and Dennis. It was Otis who heard Sly first and liked the idea of each person having a line in the song. Otis brought the style to Norman Whitfield and the rest is history,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
