I did pay the full price for mine, I’ve had it for about 2 months and I love this grill! Usually use the power cord, I use it before work to make my lunch. Good review!! 🍻🍻🍻
I have had mine for over a year, there is a lodge flat skillet that fits perfectly. On top of the grate. I turned fan all the way on high and can get the lodge to 450+ and make great smash burgers with it. I found lump works best for hot Temps for grilling
It’s advertised to run 1.5 hrs on a full load. I don’t find that to be a negative. You know what you’re getting. Add wind and cheap briquettes - this shouldn’t surprise anyone.
Hey Andrew… Jumped over here for the review. Looks good. Your cook of the Rib Eye got hotter for the sear didn’t it..??? If you discover the searing secret, let us know.!
@@TheKelleysReviews That makes sense. Just like a Blacksmith's forge. The more air from the bellows (or fan..) the hotter the fire. Makes perfect sense...
Bought this at full price, it was mostly marketed as a grill. I got to say as a grill it was a big disappointment. You definitely need high-quality charcoal, briquettes, the cheap ones burn fast and leave a lot of ash. Biggest issue is it doesn’t allow much airflow. From what I can tell most gravity charcoal, smokers, have the air from the fan blowing Underneath the hot coals into the grill. This one tries to blow straight through the coals. I might try adding a small mod to address, better airflow maybe get some higher temps.
You are correct about the airflow, thus the reason I see lower than advertised temps as shown in this video. But I've found if I leave a channel between the coals for air to shoot straight into the grill, it works better. I mainly use mine for a portable smoker, it works very well for that.
Hi, Andrew! This is an amazing grill! Thanks for this review.
Thanks for watching!
Coming over from your other two channels! Can’t wait to watch this channel grow!
Thank you so much
Fantastic review! Scouring my local Lowe’s stores now!
Good luck
Most excellent video, great testing criteria! Gonna buy one if I find it for 90
I'll buy another if I can find one on sale again.
I’m new as well, great review Andrew.
Thank you for watching
Cool! Thanks for the content
Thank you for watching
I have the Materbuilt pellet smoker/grill. I love it
This was a pleasant surprise to find. Convenience of a pellet smoker but uses charcoal and wood for the flavor.

I notice the fan is stronger on the cord.
Thank you
I'm here for it
Appreciate you
Interesting review. Didn’t know about seasoning a grill. Crazy how much wind can mess with temperatures.
Cheap uninsulated grills can definitely suffer in wind and cold.
Great video thanks 😊

That's great to hear, I just bought some lump to try.
I noticed if you leave the hopper cracked open a little it will get to a higher temperature. Try it
Thank you for the great review! What type of spray oil do you use to season?
I had canola oil on hand this time.

I fine with the results

I truly believe it's because I used the 110v plug in for the ribeye and batteries for the review. I can tell that the fan run so faster on 110v power.
