Several guys reviewing this grill on You Tube. Your 3 videos have been the best. Thanks Tom!
Thanks for Watching! Appreciate the feedback
The more I see this thing, the more I like what I'm seeing. Now I have to try to justify the purchase. Thanks Tom!
Thanks for Watching Troy!
Now that’s awesome, Tom, fantastic grill!!!
Thanks for Watching Robert!
Portable...but could be the only grill someone needs at home. Good work right there Tom!
Thanks for Watching Rob! You are correct!
Tom. Awesome burger! Im definitely digging this grill. Cheers!!
Thanks for Watching Tommy!
That's a really nice looking grill. I could see taking it on camping trips.
Thanks for Watching Jeff! Yes it is… has some short comings, but very innovative
I'm going to guess they didn't call it gravity because with such a shallow charcoal box, all of your charcoal is going to be ignited for most of the time that you are cooking. There isn't really a time fed gravity effect like with the taller hoppers.
Thanks for watching Michael! Ok
They look great ... awesome little pit Tom
Thanks for Watching! Yes it is
I have tried all the new tech gadgets like pellet smokers, gravity smokers, and air temp controllers. Dusted off the old WSM yesterday for a chuck roast and I really forgot how hands off it is with just using the vents. Just a rambling thought.
Thanks for Watching! Valid point, Thanks For sharing
Great video and some delicious looking burgers! But no toasted buns? I will let it slide on this video.
Thanks for Watching Nick! Agreed! Thanks
Nice first cook on the gravity jr. Neat portable grill.
Thanks for Watching! Gravity Jr! Nice1
Wow those look soooo good🍔🍔
Thanks for watching Eric! They were
Great cook and video as always. If you need an idea for your next grill I was thinking of the Char-Broil Amplifire Cruise Digital Gas Grill. I think this will be the direction of gas grills in the future. Thermostatically controlled like a pellet or gravity and also push button self cleaning. No one has a good review yet.
Thanks for Watching Joe! I appreciate the tip! Thank you
Great video and love your use of cheese inside the burger. Thoughts on how well the non stick works on the cast iron grates? I've only used it on my kettle grates.
Thanks for Watching Ralph! The cheese that melted out did stick, but it does that no matter what I use
Awesome video! Is the high efficiency (15 briquettes lasting 2+ hours) attributed to the B&B charcoal, or the design of the Masterbuilt? 15 Kingsford briquettes barely lasts 30 minutes in my Smokey Joe.
Thanks for watching! Good question! I think it’s a combination of both. Try some B&B in your Smokey Joe and let me know
I had a Masterbuilt 560 and replaced that with a Char-Griller 980 which in my opinion was built better than the 560. I would like something small like this Masterbuilt portable and comparing the build quality between the two companies I think I will wait to see if Char-Griller follows with a mini 980. Curious if you have heard anything about this possibility? Thanks
Thanks for watching Robin! I haven’t heard anything from C G about having a mini gravity
As I remember you said in a previous video that the grate upgrade was no longer available. What would you recommend? I wonder how the OEM grate would perform. Thanks
Thanks for Watching! The cast iron grate was from a camp chef pellet grill. It was an option that is not available anymore
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ I wonder if Mangrates would work. I have a legacy set of Grillgrates but I am not a big fav of aluminum grates. Thanks
Cut to size they should work just fine
Burgers look delicious Tom! Did you add any wood chips or chunks?
Thanks for Watching Jay! Yup 2 small chunks of Pecan
How long do 15 briquettes last? Was the fan on the whole time?
Thanks for Watching Tim, I got a solid 2.5 hours, the fan turns off when it reaches set temp
You going to try some ribs on it ? That may be a deciding factor for me. Thanks!
Thanks for Watching! Yes!
Nice video. Is there room for a beer can chicken?
Thanks for Watching! Unfortunately no, spatchcock yes
Nice tip on the double plate pressing....I have always thought about buying a burger press but I think this method might be the ticket instead!
Thanks for Watching! Easy to do…
