    Educational, I noticed the grill didn’t put a char on the burger & steak tho.

      Good insight. As with anything, there is a learning curve. We have figured out to crank up the temp and let it sit for a while to get a good sear. It will definitely do it for you if your patient with the heat. Thanks for checking us out.

    You put that thing through the ringer! Can you add wood chips or chunks to the charcoal as well?

      @NoEyeDeerOutdoors  2 роки тому +2

      You can but it would only smoke for a very short time. It really isn’t a true gravity fed because all of the charcoal in the hopper ignites pretty close to simultaneously. So you’d smolder your chips/chunks immediately too. The best way to get slower smoke would be to add chunks to the ash bin…but there would be no way to reload that once the chips are burnt. Our suggestion would be to use smaller lump charcoal if you want a more Smokey flavor.

    Definitely sold on this now!! I’m totally going to get one for camping and working on the road. Can you put flavour wood chips in there?

      Yes but instead of layering the chips, you have to open it up and add a few chips every so often. That’s because the hopper is not true gravity fed. All of the contents of the hopper lights then just continues to burn. Add chips, but you’ll need to keep adding about every 20 minutes

    Is it big enough to cook a brisket or a pork butt roast? Does it have any temp probes?

      No built in meat temp probes. It could handle a smaller brisket or butt…..you just might have to play around with the ash/coals a bit more once you start reloading the charcoal.

    what were your thoughts on the fan noise? when i checked one out it was extremely loud, like a dentist drill

      Hey, thanks for checking out our video. That sounds like a bit of a defect or something. You could hear the fan on our unit, but it definitely wasn’t that loud at all. Keep us posted if you get it figured out.

    Check out Tom Horseman’s review of this grill. He got an adapter from Amazon to run this on any usb capable external battery.

    That griddle looks horrible esp if you love grill marks,
    & what are you gonna do if the fan stops working ? Lol

      Griddle? It’s not a griddle, fella. And if the fan stops, we put 4 new AAs in…and boom, problem solved. Got any other brian busters?
