    Being trapped in my own anger is indeed being trapped in my own Hell. My mind even tries to make up things to be angry about (taking hypothetical situations and making them real, in a way). No bueno.

    My entire life, I've heard my mom tell, and re-tell countless times, stories from her past about situations and people that made her very angry. Usually part of that story is the re-telling of her rage, and even violence, toward the culprit. When i was about 10, I literally saw her physically attack a neighbor lady over some issue regarding my younger brother. She's 80 now, and she still tells the same stories, and each time, i can see the old anger rise up inside her and she begins to feel those old emotions as though they were happening in real time.
    It is only as an adult that I have become aware of this tendency in myself as well. The holding on of grudges. I'm reading your book and watching your videos in hopes of becoming more aware and try to stop this cycle of negativity in my own life.

    The anger inside is like a fire slowly expanding, but once the oppressor adds fuel to it..... That's the moment we all fear, a horrible violent outburst of hatred.
    But we always do and should remember that hate has no place inside us, and never will, because nothing obviously good comes from hate, and most of us know it surely!
    Once again, thank you very much, Conte. If i didn't have your guidance, i honestly would have gone down a different path i couldn't imagine!

      Stricknine I’m grateful it helps. I don’t want you to have to feel trapped in anger. It can be tough when we encounter those who disagree with us, but I love your ability to both recognize and work on it. That speaks volumes about you. Definitely sending you all my best and tons of peace!

    This fear and anxiety is causing people to act more rude and aggravated than normal. I've seen so many people that have to go out and get supplies behave in ways they normally wouldn't have.

    Thank you, Dr. Conte for all the new content and guidance during these challenging times. I’m curious, do you have any personal growth books that have helped you?

    • @DrChristianConte
      @DrChristianConte  4 роки тому +1

      Definitely! And yes, I do. Obviously I've written seven books myself that are intended to help people grow, but you are absolutely right, I have been very influenced by others. The two biggest influences off the top of my head are Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung. I devoured everything I ever found that either of them wrote. I actually had my team put a recommended reading list of various books that have been helpful for me through the years, too, on my website, so definitely please check that out if you can. Thank you for watching, and know that I am sending you all my best and tons of peace!

      Thank you, Dr. Conte for your generous reply! I’ve checked out your book recommendations and definitely will consider reading a few. Your videos have helped and inspired me tremendously so getting to see your influences is great to hear too. I wish you the best and peace too! Oh yeah, and I'll be getting one of your Anger Management books soon online!

    How do you deal with anger due to lack of leadership management at your job & not getting your just due getting look over not getting your recognition? It’s gotten so BADDD to the point ppl at my job sees it, I have a “F”IT kind of attitude ppl at work say things like it’s gonna be ok without even having a conversation with me. I’m a introvert anyway but at work I talk to certain ppl I even thought about getting a new job it’s an option I’m still looking into. I come to work in the morning I don’t speak to my co workers no even a good morning they speak to me first but I’ll give them a simple “Wat Up” & keep it moving. My work ethic is A1 but I’m not going to kiss nobody ass to get ahead nor be apart of a certain crowd that benefits from it. How do you even began to see a positive side of things but I’m only like this when I’m at work stressed out headache always on go it’s like I’m ready for anyone to say anything crazy to me but for the most part I don’t say anything but I stay ready & the crazy part is I’m a positive person but it definitely gotten away from as of lately. Any answer solution tip⁉️

    Thank you Dr Conte. Some constructive criticism, though, it was a little hard on my eyes to watch because the camera kept moving. It gave me a bit of motion sickness so i couldn't watch, but i did enjoy listening to what you had to say.

    • @DrChristianConte
      @DrChristianConte  4 роки тому +1

      Lol. My poor wife was holding the camera, and she said she apologizes so much. She was getting light headed, and I didn't notice (so shame on me), and thank you to her for at least keeping it going when she could have easily just said she couldn't do it. But yes, I promise to try to use a tripod in the future. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words. And I always appreciate feedback! It's the only way we ever grow! Sending you all my best and tons of peace!

    I really need help with My anger. My problem is that i get very mad from playing a video game Called csgo. It pisses me off so fucking much when you get matched up with a stupid russians who's talking shit. The game is about to reach 16 rounds before the enemy. We Are in the lead by 7 - 0 and we end up losing 16 - 13 cause of stupid teammates trolling just because we're in the lead. I get so mad i just want to scream at them swear like crazy and smash Something. Idk if you can help since it's a video game. But i can't Control My anger/frustration.

      Look at your language around how you feel/are feeling....swearing has it's own emotional power....usually negative. I aim to be mindful of the feelings in my body and the language I am using. I am getting less reactive. Hope this helps
