  • Plant based, wholesome and colorful, that's what I LOVE! a bonus is that these bowls are also high in protein :) So I wanted to show you that you can make wholesome plant based everyday meals that are higher in protein without pounding tofu blocks or protein shakes. Often we forget that there's actually protein in all plants (of course some more than others). I didn't mention it in the video but whole wheat pasta is also a great protein source! Recipes down below 👇

    Hello Alexandra, I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I appreciate your recipes over the years. I love the simplicity they offer. Some may think that your recipes come up too often, but I find it rather reassuring. Having too many choices can make cooking more challenging. When you have a handful of delicious, healthy, and balanced recipes, it becomes easier to adopt a plant-based lifestyle. Just recently, I made your Burrito Bowl for my family, including my three young children and myself, who is expecting a fourth child. It was a joy to see them happily devour their plates. This pregnancy will undoubtedly be my healthiest so far, and part of it is thanks to the inspiration you provide. ❤I wanted to sincerely thank you for everything you do!

    A minor unsanitary thing that I found a bit off (and most likely I'll be the only one) is how you used your feet to close the oven door handle @ 1:17... I like keeping food preparation environments sanitary and, I could be wrong, but using one's feet to touch areas where our hands often touch seems incongruent. Happy to hear other viewer's thoughts on this.
    Wish you and anyone reading this continued good health!

    I just got your app a couple weeks ago and I am loving it. The only thing that’s confusing for me is trying to create a meal plan that’s hard for me but what I do is pick meals about five meals for the week and add that to my grocery list. Also, I love that you can just put any food in there that you have leftover and it creates another meal. I also wanted to ask you what do you think about doing some Instant Pot recipes? I’m assuming you don’t have an Instant pot but that would be like a whole new set of videos for you, just an idea.

I was curious so i try one of your recipe : your tofu bowl with peanut butter sauce. OMG! That was soooo good! I m gonna try one of your pasta recipe. I would like to know if i can replace cashew nut by silken tofu. I saw that on one of your video…. Is it possible to change for all your pasta recipe? Thank you. Merci beaucoup!

    • @AlexandraAndersson
      @AlexandraAndersson  Рік тому +1

      That's awesome! so happy you liked the bowl 😍 yes you can replace cashews with silken tofu, white beans or sunflower seeds. If replacing with tofu I would double the amount of tofu. It will not be as creamy as with cashews but it's good enough :)

    • @AlexandraAndersson
      @AlexandraAndersson  Рік тому +1

      Instead of the chipotle chili you could use 1/8-1/4 tsp of cayenne powder (for spiciness), and instead of the chipotle sauce you could use 1 tsp smoked paprika powder (for the smoky flavor) :)

    Honest question: how do you eat beans and not get bloated and constipated?
    I've tried all of the hacks that supposedly help you make beans easier to digest, but I just can't make them work. I love lentils, but they make me feel so sluggish and bloated no matter how I cook them 😕 I'd love to incorporate more beans and legums into my meals! I'm always bummed when I watch these kinds of recipes because I know one protein source will for sure be a kind of bean and I have to scratch that.

    • @Intentionallivingwithjody
      @Intentionallivingwithjody 9 місяців тому

      Hi! Some more hacks incase they are different than you've tried. Get dried beans, soak them for 24 -48 hrs. ( if you have time to sprout them even better for easier digestion ). Cook them in a slow cooker with Apple Cider Vinegar to help with digestion. Also adding cumin will help. And lastly, it can just take time to develop the right bacteria in your gut that breaks down bean protein. Eat small quantities to start and slowly increase over time. Refried beans can be easier to digest as well.

    • @saschaheylik
      @saschaheylik 6 місяців тому +1

      Eat some beans/legumes daily or as frequently as possible, starting with the smallest amount you can handle and slowly increasing. Same with fiber intake in general. The gut microbiome needs time to adjust if you came from a diet low in legumes/fiber, like most people in the west.
      According to Dr. Greger the paleolithic fiber intake is estimated at around 100g/day, that is *a lot* more than the standard western diet which has only 20-30g or so on average. But it takes time to adjust.
      I had some bloating when I started eating beans more regularly but now almost not anymore, and getting less over time.
