please before you cook the quinoa wash it very well... in order to take out the saponin inside that makes it bitter and its toxicity it is good to keep away the insects but it can make you feel bad if you have certain sensitivity, if you think it is ok because in the package says pre washed I still recommend you to wash it because even on the best brands I find this soapy water. Please don't get it wrong I am Peruvian and we use quinoa for many many generations and we want you to have the best experience and not to come back saying that it was bad for your stomach, I just want to help. My best of the wishes for your channel ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

A friend told me that they also soak quinoa for hours or over night to keep the saponin out the same thing from mung beans? Not sure how she said it

Another tip on top of washing it before, when it’s being boiled there’s a layer of “foam” that comes out. You want to scoop that away, it looks almost like a layer of fat and it just sits there (idk the correct term for it). That causes bloating and other irritations.

Saponin is useful. Where did you get this from? And why we shouldn’t eat it?

For the Mediterranean one, substitute the tahini sauce with olive oil, lemon juice, and a small dash of salt. Sprinkle some feta cheese on the top(optional). That's how we normally make our salads. Tahini is better served with hot dishes. For example, add a grilled protein of choice with roasted potatoes and/or roasted vegetables on top of a bed of cooked quinoa then drizzle the tahini on top.

I love this so much, most videos I’ve watched start with someone saying how fast and easy a recipe is and then they proceed to make a 150 step recipe that dirties every dish in the house. This is fast and simple and they all look delicious.

If you do rinse out which bob’s red mill doesn’t seem to need to be rinsed but as I did it help quinoa bloom so 1 cup quinoa to 1 3/4 cups water or veg stock works well especially if you want that texture..2 cups water starts to make it look mushy. Parsley, mint and lemon juice is awesome for the garbanzo recipe…no need to make a dressing really…all good recipes! Kale is hard on my throat so I usually usually wilt it in a pan with olive oil and some salt..cool it and add to whatever I’m making. 😊🙏🏽🙋🏻‍♀️👍🏽Mia

Been thinking about going vegan. Did it a year ago but wasn't really aware of a lot of replacements that I know about now. Giving up meat is hard but there are a lot of great meals you can have without meat. Plus I'm at the age where my health is the most important thing. Thanks!

I just found you this morning and I am so excited! I buy Bob’s Red Mill occasionally, but now they’re on my radar as a regular. The bowls look incredible as I now am ready to go all-in vegan. Your video is informative and the meals look delicious! Thank you so much for explaining to the “newbies” who want to increase plant based meals.

I tried the pesto bowl and it was awesome!!! The only substitute I made was that I did not have the seeds but I found an equivalent seed in the powder form to sprinkle on top. I’ve made it several times now. One time I swapped the peas for garbanzo beans and that was good too. Many thanks for this recipe.

Thanks for this lovely video, showcasing whole grains and colorful veggies! 👍😊 These recipes are so ME! I do a "bowl" for lunch pretty much every day of the week, they are so easy to throw together for my work lunch the next day. And when I'm home for lunch on the weekend, they are also so easy and fast to put together. I always cook a pot of grains at the beginning of the week (quinoa, rice, millet, buckwheat groats, whatever I feel like for that week!), and this saves me a lot of prep time. Every bowl can be different, depending on what kind of veggies, beans/tofu/tempeh, and sauce I use, so I never get bored, and it's always delicious! 😋
The recipes you showed here have given me even more ideas for yummy bowls. I am a fellow pesto lover, too!
