But because it's an Alfa and it's traditional, everyone loves it. Same with the M3/4. I have been saying the new G82 M4 would look amazing with a spoiler wing similar to a Supra or E36 M3. It looks like they have done it. It is a super small version, but it looks amazing with it. I don't know what that style of wing is called, but the GT style wings that connect to the width sides of the trunk. Not the huge wings with the skinny bars attached the car.
This has to be in the cards for an LCI on the M3 and M4. I get that they have been pretty firm and defensive about their new design direction and that all press is good press yadda yadda but there’s a reason most cars don’t stay fugly for multiple generations.
So if BMW doesn't explicitly focus on the Chinese market, they can build really nice cars. I would wish that this would also be the case for the normal cars.
the fact that they put new glass bezel to change the hofmeister kink back is key proof that they know the OG G82 design is weak in its' design cues. they can't change the actual glass shape without changing the whole chassis, so they revert to put new bezel, with the sole purpose of 'correcting' the hofmeister kink. what a joke new BMW design is, and hope they bring it back soon.

So is this the su58 engine variant they have been holding out? I’m surprised the specs are so close to s58 numbers.
Amazing car, bad price tag. $750,000 is a lot of money. I bet it’s somewhat a collectible but $750,000 for an M4 is crazy lol
for that price they should've at least kept the same proportions as the hommage concept
Absolutely!👏👍
What is the flat area called on almost ALL cars, that edges the wheel arches?
The CSL looks better in the lack of that tedious repetitive detail alone 🤓
I didnt hear you bring up the m3 csl concept this looks almoet exacly alike from years ago
i understand the price is due to the limited numbers, but you can get two, maybe even three supercars for the price of this one bmw.
Who can buy this 3.0 CSL already has dozen of supercars
@@hocongluan51 i mainly meant it’s not worth the price, even for a super rare car. i honestly doubt it’ll appreciate much, if any.
@@iamslf it is a collection car. We can not apply the standard car value to this kind of car.
The value of this 3.0 CSL will go up year by year.
@@hocongluan51 until it gets into the hands and hearts of enthusiasts, it feels artificially valued. again, i get that it’ll be a super rare car, but i feel someone could get an m4 csl, and customize it to look and drive remarkably close to this for half the price. but maybe i’m not on the same wavelength.
im just happy that they smoothen the bonnet
i love those model cars on the background, where did you get them from
where do you get your little car models that are in your background
They know where to place the hood line correctly! But they had to ruin it on the M4… let’s hope they’ll fix it with the M4’s LCI!
This new 3.0 csl encapsulates everything wrong in the industry right now , in my opinion
- capitalise your history and your legacy for a quick profit with a half baked product
- charging 10x the price of the regular m4 just for a body kit and the name and waiting people to be ok with that
- artificially limiting the production units just to charge more
-expect a somewhat reasonable but bloated design to be acclaimed , just because the other models look freaking awful
All in all the csl name should be for something exceptional , something really astounding, not for something that it is just fine .
But how much is the price
@@De_Wukong 750κ
This car has carbon fiber everywhere but, according to the specialist, it's "half baked".
Totally agree!
Well said! 💯
The price is ridiculous!
The grill here isn't an improvement.
It's still big.
@@nightdriver7216 you can buy aftermarket hood, fenders, bumpers, roof and tailgate for pretty much any car, and even in the most expensive supercars , the total amount won't surpass the 100k mark , and we are talking about hand made pieces . Yes you pay extra for the factory badge and the "3.0 csl" but at 750k it is just outrageous . 400k? Maybe at best
This is the best looking BMW to date. Love the wide body kit and wing.
Thanks for your comment feel free to reach out i have something for you.... 🎁 📩
I’m sorry but who’s gonna pay 750k for an m4??? Sure it looks cool but that ridiculous
Only 50 of these are going to be produced. They wont get any cheaper so you wont loose money
@@Fanboy1222 but its still not worth the money you could get yourself a second habd sf90 stradale for that money and that car prolly drives way better than this
@@Person-cv9dj Those 50 are all sold already and will become collectors and in 10-20 years or so be doubled the worth in value
@@boondockbwoy14 Exactly.
@@boondockbwoy14 yeah but its still not worth it like i can buy a supreme hoodie for 5 grand and it will hold its value but i can buy myself a hoodie thats just as good or even better for less it in fact isnt worth it if youre actually gonna drive it
That needs to be the new standard grille style for future BMW
Thanks for your comment feel free to reach out i have something for you......... 🎁 📩
What?
Rabbit teeth? 😂
Now THIS looks like a BMW not the BS that they have been producing lately
Thanks ! feel free to reach out, i have something for your .......!!!🔝🔝🔝
I am curious and haven't followed BMW in a while (even tho i worked in Münich BMW plant), but do they still use the ZF gearbox in the new ones?
Where’d you get the model cars?😊
wow its been ages since i came accross a professional video like this! good job !
It's just a damn shame they'll be making only 50 of them... All we can wish for is that the LCI of the G80/G81/G82 gets a few design cues of the 2023 3.0 CSL. Especially the kidneys.
no its not better than the hommage concept. Period.
the round intace is from the old 3.0 csl
I have been saying the new G82 M4 would look amazing with a spoiler wing similar to a Supra or E36 M3. It looks like they have done it. It is a super small version, but it looks amazing with it. I don't know what that style of wing is called, but the GT style wings that connect to the width sides of the trunk. Not the huge wings with the skinny bars attached the car.
I remembered the CSL homage good few years ago, hope it goes into production now tbh
Good to see the design is improving but did you say 750000?
750 k and the interior is basically the same as the m4...which in itself is not far upgraded from a 1 series
they took an m4 and dressed it up and are pricing it at 3/4 the price of a mclaren senna
are they insane?
This has to be in the cards for an LCI on the M3 and M4. I get that they have been pretty firm and defensive about their new design direction and that all press is good press yadda yadda but there’s a reason most cars don’t stay fugly for multiple generations.
ok but why does it have a roof spoiler
Hey bro I appreciate your videos, could you do a reaction on the BMW M2 Vision GT
Thats my favourite design
So if BMW doesn't explicitly focus on the Chinese market, they can build really nice cars.
I would wish that this would also be the case for the normal cars.
Thanks ! feel free to reach out, i have something for your ...📩🎁
@bembli, what device do you use to draw directly into photoshop? Thank you for the amazing videos!!
for me, the best front end and grille design was from the 3.0 CSL Hommage R
yeah hommage concept looks so much better im dissapointed with production car
The concept was soooo much better
Thank you for sharing your passion for design, you have given me more understanding of the language of design. Peace from Chicagoland.
damn $750000!? i dont think they didn't made enough money with the latest m4 lineup LOLLLLLLL
You too can have the grille that should have always been on the 3/4 series for only $750k!
$750,000 dollars …… let that sink in for a moment
Thanks for your comment feel free to reach out i have something for you.... 🎁 📩
the fact that they put new glass bezel to change the hofmeister kink back is key proof that they know the OG G82 design is weak in its' design cues. they can't change the actual glass shape without changing the whole chassis, so they revert to put new bezel, with the sole purpose of 'correcting' the hofmeister kink. what a joke new BMW design is, and hope they bring it back soon.
Sorry, but I likes tho 2015 3.0 CSL. One of my favourite rear ends ever
someone should do a front end replacement and use this design on the m3/m4
100% this. They'd sell a load.
Finally BMW got it again! The grille is much better than in the 4 series / M4. This front is proper BMW DNA.
What’s a bmw without hofmeister kink?
I'm impressed how you can explain all the lines of the cars and you can see what the designer thought 💯 you should design ❤️ cars yourself I think they will be just beautiful
Hopefully a refreshed M3 and M4 get this grille, way more cohesive to the bodywork
It's still big though!
It's Hofmeister Knick, not Kinck. 😉
that headlight shape screams e9x m3. ngl I would love for an LCI g80 to have a grill that is similar to this.
Is this a preview of the M3/4 refresh? I sure hope so because this is far and away better than the current ones (minus the Infiniti-lite taillights)
At 6:00 those sharp cuts are designers trying to justify clean separation lines, if they just do something like the r35 gtr, they won't need to justify it, the 3.0 CSL almost does it and they still try to justify it at the bottom lol
This is great, I like the concept better
The G80/G82 grill is 🔥 in person I love it
THis redo is like when your teacher hands your test back to you with all the right answers written in on all the questions you missed. I'd say the junior stylist at BMW just got owned by a senior stylist with this edition.
The problem with the big grill on the standard M3/M4 is not so much the big grill but the horizontal bars. They 're now doing the same thing with the new M2 and it looks bad too. If it were vertical bars, it would look way better and refined.
About time BMW’s Exterior Design Team came out with something proper! I’ll take it in Black 🖤 or Nardo Gray.
Wondering if the M4 will get a life cycle impulse that changes the grill to look more like the CSL.
Should have got an AMG
I see that they reduced the lung grills almost back to the iconic kidney grills
Some parts of the front, like how the, now rounded, edges of the headlights and the side fender 'indent/design feature' reminds me of the e92 m3
The grill execution is an improvement but otherwise it looks like an amateurish body kit on an M4. The Hommage concept was excellently proportioned and what I'd expect for 750k.
The grill is still big though...
😅
I really wonder what you would say about the new car that the Turkish Government produced recently named as TOGG. The design was made by Pininfarina so I think you may analyze it.
Did he say 6 speed manual transmission?
