I agree absolutely luv what your teaching in the videos, so clear and well explained. I have to look back on a few lessons though as I'm not quite getting the whole straightening the sides up of the swatches. Will follow your videos forever, thank you much appreciated 🇬🇧 fan.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COUNTING EACH HOLE!!! EVERY OTHER WOMAN I WATCHED LITERALLY WENT SO QUICK. I LOVE YOU. I LOVE HOW CLEAR YOU ARE. THANK YOU!!! Yours truly❤
This!! I'm ok with a little faster if I'm just watching a tutorial for a specific project but if I'm learning a new (to me) stitch I need to know exactly what is going on.
I’ve been crocheting for a couple of days now, and thanks to you, i’ve now got the SC, HDC, and DC stitches down! your videos have helped so much. thank you!
Pleaseee never stop posting I love your videos!! You don’t understand how much I love your videos you just remind me of a person who is kind and loving please don’t stop posting!!
This is truly amazing! You're the best at making crochet videos. I'm making a blanket for my girlfriend for Christmas and this is helping a lot! Thanks for helping a poor college student make the perfect gift for her lovely girlfriend!
MotionlessInRainbow Thank you so much! I’m so happy to help and wish you the best on your crochet journey. I hope she enjoys your crochet as much as you ☺️❤️
One of my crochet goals was to teach myself the double stitch. I thought it was really hard to learn but just discovered your video and i got it. Ive been so used to doing the single stitch i wanted to teach myself something different to do. This really helped a lot. Thank you
Hi, I've been crocheting for a month. I practiced a lot on dishcloths & single stitch. I just finished my first single stitch baby afghan today. Now I ready to learn double crochet. I had a friend show me then came & watched your video. You're a great teacher. You explain the reason why we are add the chains & so on. I will watch your videos when I feel more confient to learn treble stitch. THANKS AGAIN
Your tutorial is by far the best I have found. I struggle sometimes to understand the concepts and see what is being shown when watching videos. You explain everything and show it in a way that I understand. Thank you. The angles of the camera make it so easy to see what you are doing and how you are demonstrating your work. Thank you so much! I'm starting out slow and basic, but at least I am giving it another go. Thank you, I am so excited.
Becky Emett Thank you so much Becky! I getting ready to film a series of crochet along CAL videos. Your comment encourages me. I strive to teach my best and it helps encourage others they can do it! I hope your crochet is going well! ☺️
Today is my second day of crocheting journey. Turns out, it's easier and my crochet is better when I'm watching & learning from this very episode, rather than my aunt who taught me in real, apparently 😂😅 thank you so much!
Thank you. I have been practicing my double crochet. My stitches in general look good, but my edges just weren't shaping up. I watched the video again and think i have figured out what I was doing wrong. Thank you
I am brand new to crocheting and have watched many, many videos. Your teaching style is the best I have found. Thank you so much and I hope you keep teaching!
You will probably not read this. But regardless, I want to say that thank you sooo much. How much I stumbled on the last stitch that is hidden, your choice of color for yarn and hook, your soothing voice and best of all, how you highlighted my exact problem. I am extremely grateful. Love you!! Love your tutorials!!
Hi there, just wanted to tell you I have learned so much this last week,I am a 39 year old man and I just love to learn new things and you are a great teacher!!! I have made my daughter two headbands and I am making my other daughter a beanie with the double crochet! Thank again I tried to learn on other channels but you give such good details and you explain! Look forward to much more from you!! have a GREAT day!!!!!!
Your videos are seriously so GREAT! You taught me single crochet after 5 hours of frustration. Now I’m learning double in 5 minutes. An awesome teacher 🌼🙌
Thank you! I've started a new 'crazy quarantine project' and decided to make a sampler afghan. Your videos are helping to fill the gaps I'm not understanding in the class instruction. I appreciate your help. -Alice.
Your videos have helped me so much!! I have just started crocheting this Wednesday and it was a lot harder than i was expecting. It's 2 days later and I now know how to make the single, half double and double and i am so happy i started crocheting! Thank you so much xx
this is amazing u r literally the 'good knit' kisses, because i love how slow u teach us and all the effort u use to make us understand. thank you very much. Bieng a pharmacist needs alot of part time hobbies and crocheting is just the one!
You are FANTASTIC!!! You speak clearly, at a decent rate, camera position is great and I love the slow playback. I'm able to the notes as you speak. I'm in love!!😄
Thank you soooo much!!! It was VERY helpful. I'm dealing with anxiety and overthinking lately a lot! So I thought about doing crochet to keep me distracted and calm . And your Video helped me to learn it and Today I made my first successful patch. Thank you so much ♥️
When I get to having to loop into my turning chain, that is the bane of my existence. I always get confused on what to DO/where to go. Thank you for this. You did a great job showing exactly where to loop through in the chain.
This video helped me so much, i had learned this stitch a year ago in school and now wanted to crochet a top for myself and this helped me a lot, thank you for very clear instructions and pointing out few mistakes a beginner could make.
I’ve been crocheting for a couple weeks now and have reached chains over 160 cm and i just learnt how to single crochet and doble crochet from your videos this video is nice and easy
Thank you so much for your clear and very specific instructions! I always get so confused with which stitch is the next one and the other instructions I have read and watched don't show it really well or pause to explain it. This makes all the difference for me! Yay! I am finally learning to crochet!
These videos are so helpful! Thank you for taking the time to break it down and explain the stitches and turning chains. I'm going video by video and then I can finally tackle this Yoda scarf pattern I've been eyeing. So appreciative of finding you and your videos.
Thank you, great video! I can do dc in granny squares and sc and hdc but just tried doing a project with dc this week. It started looking wrong around the third row and your video pointed out EXACTLY what I was doing wrong! Going to watch a few times before picking up the yarn again :)
Thank you so much for this video. I wanted to teach myself to crochet but was struggling. I can't tell you how many videos I watched until I found yours. You do an awesome job of describing each step. So easy to follow, explicit and very specific. I have an awesome throw for snuggling under. Thanks again.
Oh...my...gosh, i NEVER thought i could learn to crochet! I have had my mom and several others try to teach me, and I just could not do it. I watch your tutorials and now I am actually crocheting. Thank you so very very much as this is helping me to cope with my stress during this Covid crisis!!! Please keep posting videos!!!
I really never post a comment but you are an excellent teacher I have been crocheting for years learning as I go I have been trying to get my squares right and they always come out lopsided thank you so much
I am really finding this video along with the previous ones very helpful! Thank you for taking the time to put this up. Haven't crocheted since I was in elementary school...too many years ago! LOL Next I want to make a hat...maybe...
I was so happy to find your videos, Kristin! They are well organized and each lesson gives just enough info. Now I’m excited instead of frustrated when I sit down to learn a new stitch. Thank you so much!!
Susie Brynjulfson I’m a true beginner at crocheting.I found your tutorials to be excellent and very easy to understand.I want to create a one color crossbody bag. What yarn, so needle and basic stitch would you recommend? I’m thinking I’ll need the stitches tight for a bag. Thanks
Brenda Stanley hi! I would think maybe a size 5mm hook and acrylic yarn that’s perhaps a size 3 or 4 :) You could use any of the stitches, just whatever looks good to you
If it starts to look wider as you go, if you’re doing a double crochet pattern (like the video) then make sure you’re skipping the first stitch! & count as you go for sure!!!
Fiber flux is another teacher at youtube. She said that it depends on the pattern. Probably because the number of chains we skip end up becoming the height of the coming stitches. Skipping 3 and entering the 4th feels most stable to me. It's okay. Things will start making sense if you keep on crocheting. Im new too
thank you so much, your videos are so helpful! I have been making a double crochet scarf and it's not as tight as yours looks. I need to practice more, but how do you get it tighter without being too tight to get your hook in?
Thanks very much for your very clear, easy to follow videos. I do have a (probably very basic) question. When you have done your foundation chain plus 3 (20 +3 = 23 in the video) you start in the 4th chain from the hook for your first dc, so those extra 3 chains are like the turning chain. However, when you are going from row 1 to row 2, you chain 3 (turning chain) and skip a stitch, so you're really going in to the *fifth* chain from the hook in the this time. Am I counting incorrectly, or is the transition from row 2 to row 3 really just different from the transition from foundation chain to row 2?
I have one question, like when you are doing some things to have a straight edge,do you need to do that on every row or just like how many times you did?
hello maam! hope you'll see this, could you make a tutorial of how to crochet a perfect circle? i watched few of tutorials and still couldnt get any of em
I'm brand new to crocheting, never done it before. I randomly decided I wanted to learn to make things for my family and those in need. I love your videos, they are the most helpful I've found as I am one who learns more by visual, verbal instructions. Diagrams in books are so confusing. Anyhow, I'm still having a bit of trouble understanding the turning chain. When you turn to start your second row, does the turning chain count as 1 stitch, so the "first" stitch would actually be your 2nd?
Lisa Powers yes it counts as a stitch. However once you get into patterns sometimes the pattern will tell you that first stitch doesn’t count. That is just a way of making sure when you are following directions you count properly for that particular pattern to get the right count for what they are doing.
Sher's Artwork me too! i believe it’s called extended single crochet. my grandma taught me & she always called it double so i just did some digging on the internet to figure out what it was actually called hahahaha

I'm finding my blankets getting wider! 😮
If it starts to look wider as you go, if you’re doing a double crochet pattern (like the video) then make sure you’re skipping the first stitch! & count as you go for sure!!!
Hi. Why do some people use two chains and some use three change when creating a transitional chain in the double crotchet?
Fiber flux is another teacher at youtube. She said that it depends on the pattern. Probably because the number of chains we skip end up becoming the height of the coming stitches. Skipping 3 and entering the 4th feels most stable to me. It's okay. Things will start making sense if you keep on crocheting. Im new too

Have you seen my magic circle video?
So simple and has helped me start out my crocheting! Where do you buy your hooks from?
Thank you! May I ask.. What do you suggest as the best first project for a starting from ground zero beginner? Dish cloth, scarf , etc.?
OMG all these years I have been pulling through one then two then two!! Lol would that be called something? Or I've just been doing it wrong?
