Can't help commenting although I have just started watching. What you say about the yarn, this is the exact problem I found myself it. I am an absolute beginner, did not even know what I will be needing and to top that I have poor eyesight. I went to a shop, just bought a yarn in black and red because I love minimal. I tried knitting, I couldn't separate 1 thread from the other, it all looked similar and after 2 attempts, the thread was useless, it looked like rats chew on them. Now I will know better. Thank you for such a detail explanation. You're awesome.
Black is such a no no. Even after so many years, I try to avoid black when ever possible. The color is such a small thing, but can make a big difference especially when you are starting out🙂
I know what you mean! I started crocheting about 10 years ago, and I did it for 2 or 3 years. It was always very basic stuff. I just started again and I'm surprised I forgot everything I knew LOL I came back to a project I had started that is yarn of red and white. 🙄 Big mistake! I've never been very good at examining the top row of any piece, to know exactly where I should be stitching into. It's being a bit of a nightmare doing this. However I just don't want to take it apart and start again, nor give up on it all together. I will struggle through on this one, but I won't make that mistake again.
Got a crochet kit as a christmas present and have tried like at least two days watching multiple so called "beginner friendly videos". NONE of them had this kind of nice repetieve + slow instruction. I'm glad I got this in my yt recommended thank you so much!!

I just want to say this is the best beginner crochet tutorial on UA-cam! I thought I just sucked but turns out I just needed a teacher like you! You explained everything without assuming we would know certain things, and I appreciate you for that. Can't help commenting although I have just started watching. What you say about the yarn, this is the exact problem I found myself it. I am an absolute beginner, did not even know what I will be needing and to top that I have poor eyesight. I went to a shop, just bought a yarn in black and red because I love minimal. I tried knitting, I couldn't separate 1 thread from the other, it all looked similar and after 2 attempts, the thread was useless, it looked like rats chew on them. Now I will know better. Thank you for such a detail explanation. You're awesome.
Black is such a no no. Even after so many years, I try to avoid black when ever possible. The color is such a small thing, but can make a big difference especially when you are starting out🙂
I know what you mean! I started crocheting about 10 years ago, and I did it for 2 or 3 years. It was always very basic stuff. I just started again and I'm surprised I forgot everything I knew LOL I came back to a project I had started that is yarn of red and white. 🙄 Big mistake!
I've never been very good at examining the top row of any piece, to know exactly where I should be stitching into. It's being a bit of a nightmare doing this. However I just don't want to take it apart and start again, nor give up on it all together. I will struggle through on this one, but I won't make that mistake again.
Got a crochet kit as a christmas present and have tried like at least two days watching multiple so called "beginner friendly videos". NONE of them had this kind of nice repetieve + slow instruction. I'm glad I got this in my yt recommended thank you so much!!

Your video changed the game for me. You are a fantastic teacher: incredibly detailed & such thorough but concise explanations. I used another video last week, and I went from crying over barely being able to do a simple chain stitch & completely failing at a double crotchet (single crotchet), to successfully completing a double stitch multiple times in a row, and I’ve just finished a half treble crotchet after watching you do it! I’ve wanted to learn how to crochet for years, my friends mum recently taught me how to single crochet but I want to impress her by learning some advanced crocheting techniques but never understood from other tutorials, however this tutorial has helped me get a way better understanding of how to do different stitches now I’m so excited to show her what I’ve learned.
