I've loved Gran Turismo from the very beginning, it helped cultivate my love affair with cars that still exists today. Can't wait to get my hands on GT7 for the PS5
I've played every GT game to date, but always with a regular controller and in a casual way. So I recently started playing GT Sports with a driving seat, a steering wheel and a 4K TV... holy sh*t, it was one of the best gaming experiences I've had in years. I can't wait for GT7. It's the reason I'm getting a PS5.
replays in forza have always been disgusting. it's a constant juggle between camera angles that make no sense and stay on screen for too short. i wish they worked on that. but hey, it's not something easily marketable so turn10 doesn't give a fuck.
I have both an XB1X and a PS4 Pro and for that matter a gaming PC and I have Forza 7 and had, up until GT Sport, bought every single GT title they've released on day 1 - and after playing the GT demo I will say the replays and cut scenes are amazing looking, but the gameplay in GT is very very dull, in that it's clearly high resolution, but it's plasticity and looks fake when you're moving - and it also looks lifeless in motion. Those replays and cutscenes are not what the game actually looks like when you're moving. Also GT Sport has terrible cameras - like the angle on all of them is off, you're either too high, or too low, or too far back. Finally the other issue is GT Sport is an incredibly limited game that isn't worth of the Gran Turismo name, it's e-sport garbage, has a very limited number of cars, no career, no car upgrades, it's just not worthy of the GT name. Forza 7 is a much better game and in motion on the PC and the XB1X, it looks better since it looks more life like, there's just more going on and it looks less fake, even if it's not quite as pretty in still shots. I own both systems and up until GT Sport I'd have called myself a GT fanboy more than anything else, but Forza 7 is a proper full game, while GT Sport has gotten very mediocre reviews and so far bombed as far as sales go. I hope Sony kills the idea of any more "sport" garbage in the future and makes a proper GT7 with everything we expect from a GT title.
Goddamn are GT Sport's lighting effects absolutely gorgeous. The shadow pop in annoys the crap out of me but the night levels are truly something else entirely.
I'm a Forza fan but here I find GT Sports lighting and color to provide such an amount of pop without going overboard that I might actually lean towards GT Sport here.
yes all 10 of them, to drive on 5 tracks...gt sport is trash. gt7 needs 1000+ cars, track creator, full car customization if not the ability to create your own car, used cars, full damage model comparable to beamNG, red rock valley, and single player career mode or polyphony wont see a dime from me
Forza 7 is built on better hardware (in this case, benefits from PC specs). BUT - the guys in Polyphony Digital are just better artists. There is more to realism than just having better textures and details in individual objects in the game. It's the overall balance that matters, and the graphics team of GT Sport captures that balance much better, especially in terms of the lighting. It's much like the Jurassic Park films. The first Jurassic Park was made with far less tech than Jurassic World, but Jurassic Park 1 looks far more believable than Jurassic World. Artistry will always beat tech.
I think it comes down to making tough decisions and maybe GT made better tough decisions. This guy did a good job comparing the pros and cons of each decision made. Forza decided to make more cars, more tracks, more driving gear, and don’t forget rain. Forza might be a more complete game in terms of content while GT focused more on quality.
"Feels like you drive so slow" Good god, you've clearly never driven on a real track... Your entire vision doesn't contract Parkinson's in real life like it does in Forza with camera motion effects on.
SpinCycle There is no rivalry though, GT Sport has a 75 on Metacritic versus Forza 7's 87. Forza has been consistently getting praise every year whereas GT hasnt released a solid game in almost 10 years
Dislexic Potato I would say that GT Sport is a solid game, but it is now in its own category with its emphasis on multiplayer. It’s like saying games like overwatch are poor because they lack story-driven single player. However, I understand the frustration with many dedicated fans because of a lack of content with such a long development cycle.
I think on a personal level, that GT takes the cake for looks, being a developer myself, it makes sense why thy went the routes they chose. Each use different Engines to build, and that does make a difference on what you are capable of doing. Both look wonderful but i feel Forza is too "flat" in a side by side comparison.
@@The3DSMaxinator FYI, Forza never updates their car model, they use the same model from the very first Forza Motorsport, even the Horizon title does the same. I mean, they did the cars and engine sounds wrong. Forza S15's roof is somehow taller than the actual car, the M3 E30's roof pillars are square unlike in GT, and in FH5 the M3 E46 sounds like a Z33 like wtf??
@@o_KingOfKings_o In case you're wondering, the biggest reason for Driveclub's beauty is the scenery. In open world games, usually the scenery is a part of the map so everything has to be drivable and interactable, in (arcade) simulators like Forza 7 and GTS everything is directly taken from the real life and racing tracks doesn't look that beautiful. I don't hate DC nor I disregard their effort but what they did is no magic. Look at some old arcade games without open worlds and see how great they look even today.
Bet it was done to deal with Z-Fighting. It's pretty standard to separate objects in such a way, thus you can have tiling textures on the road alongside the painted lines to author more efficient textures.
#1 reason I stopped playing the Forza Series. That damn AI system they use. It tracks players and uploads it to the cloud. Then those bad driving habits get translated to the single player for other people. So AI would crash into you. I think they eventually added an option to turn off "aggressive" driving by AI, but it was to little to late for me.
I grew up playing Gran Turismo. When Forza 2 was released for the Xbox, I was a loyal Forza fan for about 5 years. I just recently went back to GT Sport and I’ve never played a game so well crafted and tailored for serious sim racers. I’ve never driven a real GT racecar. The physics on GT seem to make more sense to me and seems to me to be as close as you can get to driving the real thing (not knowing what iRacing physics are like) but I’m going to play what Lewis Hamilton, and other real life drivers play if I want to experience the closest thing to real life.
I like playing both games next to Iracing and R3E, gt more serious with a steering wheel, Forza with controller when I want a chilled cool campaign. The phyiscs in both games aren't that realistic compared to real racing sims, GT maybe being closer to the real deal, but none of both tries to go deep into physics like chassis flex, rubber marbles and so on. GT has the perfect online mode while Forza has a shitton of content, if you want the most realistic experience I'd suggest IRacing in VR, but for this you need a potent PC and VR glasses. Edit: Oh yeah and an Iracing subscription with tracks and cars which only costs like 40 Million Dollar
i also grew up on gran turismo, gt5 to be exact. i have an xbox one x and forza horizon 4. but on the other hand i have a ps3 with a playstation wheel. also i have no xbox wheel. so yea
Gran Turismo phisics effects is ridiculous, it´s look like a toy remote control car. And all the rest, Forza Motorsport 7 is better, includes dinamic wheather and more. GT Sport not was have rain for years, only include rain after with an update. GT Sport only have about 200 cars, FM7 have more than 700. ✌😏👍
@@danielcpierremForza’s car list only helps prove it’s focus on quantity over quality. GranTurismo is an Esports legend because it focuses on making a better racing experience. from an Offical sponsorship with Tag Heuer to Offical Esports championships for the FIA. I don't care about the graphics since they look ok if the game came after 2011. They are completely same and better graphics will never make a racing game better. If you don't believe me you can look at iracing. Also I prefer gt sport to forza
I don't own either game, but based on these vids I was going to say the opposite. GT is way too bright and ultra shiny, makes the colors look cartoony.
MidnightJacket i can see the argument, but sunny days on most of these tracks are really bright. Forza car interiors have always been especially dim. Really wish t10 would stop making the game look unrealistic
The issue I have in FM7 is when you set the condition of the track to day it’s either sunny or cloudy and you can’t choose. For example I was racing a huayra BC set on day on suzuka and when I restart the race and took a Zonda R, suzuka was all happy and sunny
I totally agree about GT replay quality! I find myself watching replays of my race all the time just in awe of the quality and camera work. It’s just amazing and I fooled my dad into believing it was a real race happening on live tv! Especially great when racing with the Bugatti Chiron!
I just remembered, every time I play GT Sport I realize I don’t see any other car in the pit stops, it’s like once they hit that line, they disappear, but still GT Sport is glorious, that’s what made me love it
I own both. Have been playing extensively GTSport on PS4 Pro and Forza 7 on One X. In short, there is no match. GTSport provides always the best audio-visual experience. And the big difference is in the lighting and the detailing. Look at the transitions between tarmac and grass, in GT are shown as "natural", in Forza are a straight line with two different texures. Look at the effect of the car passing over a sand trap, moving millions of gravel particles realistically. Then do the same thing in Forza and passing over a sand trap is like passing over concrete painted with a sand texture. These are only two examples of many other similar differences. One game looks like hand crafted in everything, while the other uses a lot of predefined assets. And the result is evident. Next Forza should cut (or reduce) quantity and focus on quality and detail. Same should also do DF in their reviews.
😭😂😂 it has like 600 less cars and can barely compare to Forza which is 4K 60fps and GtSport only being able to get 1800p. But yea they have the “best audio- visual experience”. Literally, no. What next, is 7 a bigger number than 10?
Gran Turismo "the real driving simulator" Not provoking anyone but hands down, better than Forza motorsport. Even though Forza is catching up. Only issue I have is Series S is outselling series X by a massive margin. So will developers still aim Forza Motorsport 8 to play at 4k@120, 4k60 or 1080@120.
GT would look even better on PC.. the quality of shadows, reflections and textures could go so much higher... (I'm guessing they're limited by the performance on console)
revisiting this after watching the H2H for GT7 and FM'23 it's pretty shocking how different these previous instalments were yet were both pretty much equally beautiful. I feel T10 really dropped the ball despite having 6 years to improve. FM'23 almost seems like a downgrade from FM7 at the moment. Maybe not factually, but in terms of how it presents
This is a comparison I actually like. Whenever I see those videos of a lap on the same track same car across 2 or 3 different games without much else is annoying. This takes more time and actually looks into details and a real person explains it thoroughly. Good job 👍
I have played all Grand Turismos except for sport (since I haven't gotten the chance to get a PS4 yet) and I've had so much fun throughout the years on all of them
I just more or less "completed" GT4 again after "just checking out how those emulator thingies work" - this game is so damn good. Sure we can take GT3 into it because 4 was GT3+, the same as GT1 and 2 were. Forza Motorsport on the other hand is great at first glance but for me it quickly started to fall apart, it lacks the soul of the Polyphony games and it feels lackluster when you dive deep into the game. The cars look great and the tracks are awesome, everything else is done without soul. Turn 10 placed some really weird textures like roadsigns. At Nürburgring In the middle of Döttinger Höhe there is a sign on the left that just has some random shit written on it. On swiss alps there is a post with two direction signs on it, one to the left the other to the right. Both have written "Zentrum" on it, which means "center" - i am sure you find more than those two examples in the game. I am aware that this is very very nit-picky but it would never ever happen on a GT game, the attention to detail Polyphony puts into their games is astonishing!
محمد زعبي Yes that was GT5 and GT5 had worst physics. The physics were improved since GT6 and are even better now. They are currently better in GTS than in Forza

I always found that forza’s handling made all cars seem hyper responsive and skittish, unable to feel understeer properly. GT Sport makes you feel like you’re driving a car with weight. Not a cart on rails.
@@7James77 i think forza 1 ans 2 was good super handling, but since the 3 it's really unrealistic , car are over sliding ans drifting u can't drive a car who makes more than 500 HP ... Ridiculous !!
@florian henry Thanks for that information as I never played the first 3. I purchased the 4th one because of how well it was advertised and I just couldn't get into it. My main issue with Gran Turismo is the difficulty of getting enough credits. I shouldn't have to do the same race 100 times just to be able to afford 1 car.
GT Sport had the best comeback and post launch development of the two. Deserves a re-review cause my god is it a different monster now compared to when it launched
Gran Turismo Sport - better graphics, sounds, more serious about racing - more competitive, and probably better driving psychics also. Forza 7 - much more cars and tracks
Speaking of visuals only, Forza is definitely impressive but its no match to the overall appearance of Gran Turismo, its insane how realistic it looks. The way the cars react to the lighting is pure glory.
Really enjoyed the comparison but also the technical insight into how they work. I'm a Forza guy but pretty jealous of the lighting model/simulation on GT. The headlights and brake lights at night are amazing imo
Mike Bamford the brake particles are neat. The car reflection mapping is a hack. Like the real shadows, don't like fixed time of day in GTS. Forza has many more features, I imagine TURN 10 had to make more tough decisions on how to fit them all in without killing frame rate.
It will be interesting to see how these two devs utilize ray tracing in their future titles now that real-time light rendering is going to be available. A lot of the shadow, reflection, and lighting issues can be eliminated with RTX, which should be in its prime by the time the next GT and Forza titles hit the market.
@@jammeslive4050 Polyphony isn't using Raytracing in GT7 while racing, because it's impractical due to the fact no one's going to notice the actual ray tracing in the environment. But they're going to turn Raytracing on....during replays and menus? Menus make sense, but why in replays when it's off during driving? That makes no sense at all.
The damn replays in GT -- they have had the best replays since Gran Turismo 1 and NO GAME has gotten close. Why can't other racing games have the same quality replays? That's one thing that bothers me with Forza, some nonsense angles.
GT does clearly have the best gfx in 90% of the tests even though Forza runs at a higher resolution. So it basically depends if you want the best graphics or more cars and tracks, why not both?
In my opinion i think the graphics are the least of Sony and Poly's concerns when it comes to the GT Series. If you compare Gt5, 6, and Sport you don't see much of a difference. It's all down to the real racing gameplay and physics.
No comparison possible Digital Foundry, you know that GT SPORT looks so much better, I mean so much more realistic ! and it's only on PS4 Pro, imagine Gran Turismo on PC.
I love Gran Turismo Sport and generally prefer it over Forza, but I do miss the absolutely insane arcade mode with thousands of cars that games like Gran Turismo 4/5/6 had.
I love seeing comparisons between racing games because it’s fascinating to see the wildly-different approaches that two different teams take to try and reach basically the same goal. Art direction is less of a concern when both games are modelling the same cars, the same tracks, and the same art goal (photo realism) so the differences come down to the philosophy of each developer.
GT looks really nice. But it's still missing things like dynamic weather, dynamic day and night cycle, realistic wear and tear, crash physics and damage sounds, etc. It requires more updates to truly be a driving simulator.
I've been a Forza player for years now (kind of a fanboy also). When Gt sport released, i bought it, (no previous real experience with gt) i drove 1/2 a lap and deleted the game instantly, game just released back then and i think the controller handling wasnt quite optimised back then. Now just 2 months ago, i got myself a proper steering wheel and gave it another chance. I was blown away by how good the game was and the ffb of the steering wheel feels. Now just yesterday I bought a new tv (4KHDR) and booted up both my consoles, first gave forza a go and it looked okay, Did find the handling of the car quite wonkey compared to playing gt sports last 2 months. Than i booted up my ps4pro with gt sport and my jaw dropped for like hours.. This game is by far the most beautiful racing game ever created on a console and nothing comes even close to it. One thing is for sure, I'm getting myself a PS5 with GT7!!!!
GT Sport looks absolutely gorgeous. Both games have done a very good job at showing realism in a Racing game. The best way to show next generation graphics is to always show a racing game and the developers of GT Sport really put in the extra effort in making the subtle things about a car stand out like the interior as well as light rendering on the trees.
don't listen to this guy. I've had a conversation with him and turns out he's a biased fanboy, who's playlist's full of Forza Horizon 3 custom car builds. Just another casual arcade player.
Just bought Forza MS 7 and can't wait to try it out. Grew up on GT 3 A-spec and gotta admit, GTS looks beautiful and more aesthetic than Forza. But for most people, the decision between these games depends on which console you have. After doing some research it looks like Forza could have more content though?
Sameer Behera i feel over the entire life time of both franchises, GT always had the slight edge to visual realism especially the replays, but Foza has always been the better over all game. I enjoy both.
Adriana Ruiz It all depends on hiw you look at it for me. For example if you just a car entusiast and want to immediately jump in and create sick tunes ans skins for you car with stellar physics and online play. Then Forza is that game, the car enthusiast game. GT is for a more tradional linear driving experience, or simulation, in that case it is more sim than Forza too* offer more enjoyment in campaign. Both great yet different racers. Which ever one prefers thats cool. Me i love and enjoyed both franchises for the past 2 decades day one. GT 3 A-Spec is still goat in my heart.
GT sport has some amazing shadow and lighting as well as detail. Forza 7 also has amazing detail, higher resolution, dynamic weather. Both look great and I wouldn't mind playing either one.
I'm a Forza fan, but gosh damn are those GT Sport replays gorgeous. They're definitely doing something very appropriate with the motion blur and lighting in replays. Absolutely stunning. As are the distant landscapes. Too bad the rest of the game falls short. Especially since I never even watch replays or stare at distant landscapes while playing a racing game anyways.
Brennan Lawrence Yes ive been saying this for years. I been yelling at Turn 10 to fucking take note but they keep ignoring it. This shit is catching up with them. GT has a professional level of camera work with their replays, you can tell they used camera experts when building their games. This is with mostly all their games. Their replays are the best in the world hands down. Damn i wish Forza had this level of attention and options in replay. I feel like we never going to get it though. Kinda sucks for content creators.
Definitely, but in my opinion Forza is more fun to drive. My friend and I played Gran Turismo 6 and we didn't like it. I can't exactly explain why (maybe it's the camera shake or blur or field of view or whatever), but Forza simply feels more exciting.
Even more arcady than Burnout? Seriously though, I wouldn't call it arcady (granted the assist is disabled). It's definitely has a strong simulator vibe to me. I am not the one to judge it though, because I don't spend hours on racing games.
Video Games Sounds *Now we could say "GT came out after Forza so it should look slightly better", the same logic that is used to try and justify the 1Xs big power difference over the pro, but I'm not going to say that, and neither should fanboys try and make excuses for the pro, it is what it is, Congratulations Sony and a great looking racer, and Congratulations Xbox on a beast of a console.* 😊 *See power isn't everything, which is what Xbox fans have been trying to tell Playstation fans all along, so chill, it's ok ☺️, but make no mistake...this is only the beginning 😜😜😜, jk lol, I'm sure both companies have great things cooking up, so either way both communities will win with this new era of amazing tech, happy gaming my brothers, stay humble.* 🙏💗
I have played both and to be honest, Gran Turismo looks much better, however, the few annoyances do break up the experience a bit more but some moments look jawdroppingly good! I hate how the car paint reacts to light in Forza Anyway, I am mostly playing Forza Horizon 4 now and the game is great but still doesn't look as good as GT sport.. even on pc at the highest settings, the lighting simply isn't as good.
GTS definitely looks better, but I have to give the win to Forza, partially because there’s more content but mostly because you can actually own Forza Motorsport 7. GT Sport with it’s always-online DRM makes it a liability, if you buy a copy you may not be able to play the game you paid for. It’s like renting a pass to an online service that might get shut down any moment. Watching this video today, it might already be too late. No company should be allowed to get away with forcing that upon partially singleplayer games.
ainchamama Even as a GT sports fan you must give them credit. To get the detail level of GT with the number of cars they have in Forza, it would just take too long. This is where they cut corners
@@the-boring-car-guy yep, but I think that's not the issue tho. Most of the time models used in game almost always have higher quality than when implemented into the game. It's probably cut back to improve performance
In this video I agree with you. From my own experience in person I can say that this video did not do Forza justice mainly because I’ve never seen Forza that dark before. Maybe the PC settings were very different from console idk. That said, I’ve never played GT in person so I can’t really say which is better. Does GT have 2 cockpit views? I really like the 2nd cockpit view Forza added. Makes driving in rain a lot easier to see.
as a hardcore forza fan i gotta say the lighting in gt sport looks fucking awesome, its hands down better than forza....gt sport might end up being the next gt game i play, everything since ps2 days has been a giant letdown
You also have to understand that Forza games are made in a shorter amount of time and also have an open world experience spinoff as well. In my opinion I feel like Forza does it right and if they took more time like GT, they would match the quality of detail and maintain the high ground on car count.
TylerR FACT Videos you find on Forza are usually 720p, when you actually physically get a copy of Forza and put it in in Xbox one S it looks life like.
All I see is quality vs. quantity. Sure, GT offers less tracks and cars but it just looks better. It's not about jump everything and call it a day. Even with less cars, less tracks and less resolution it manages to looks better. Now, said that, both games are and looks AMAZING. The compromises where bigger on GT tho (and at the same time they where kind of ambitious on some things... the crowds, tress and shadows could have be simpler to allow for more meaningful details to be included). At least both are 60FPS which is the way it have to be. Less than 60FPS in a racing game is unacceptable in my books.
one thing i do notice a lot in forza on my xbone is when racing in cockpit view there are often glitches/artifacts. mostly black squares(mostly minor but bigger ones at times) appearing next to the A-pillar. on some tracksit doesnt happen but it does happen often when racing on Laguna Seca.
arup02 you got to remember there will be free dlc of cars coming soon on gts next year. This new GT game is so different from GT1 - GT6 where we use to play that kind of style. Is like froza horizon but instead branches into a new franchise. That is what I think. 🙂
Don't get me wrong, GT Sport is dope, but I find the variety that Forza offers much more appealing. And besides, like you said, it's not even fair to compare. GT Sport is not even a mainline Gran Turismo game.
arup02 If we look at Gran Turismo series, in GT 5 and 6 we had something like 1200 cars, but only 200 were "premium" and 1000 were low resolution cars from ps2 era. So, I prefer to have 200 beatiful, high detailed cars in GT Sport, insted of 1200 where most of them didn't even had cockpits and hd textures like in GT 5 and GT 6. So we can say, that this time Polyphony went for quality over quantity, and that's fine for me. Tbh those 160 cars in GT Sport are not a small number, and I know that other games have more but still, one hundred and sixty cars and each one feel different, sound different, drive different etc.
GT Sport is the better game, and I only okay first. The inclusion of a proper pit crew, qualifying, different tires and fuel all make the game a far better racing game. Forza on the other hand feels very Arcadey, and with no ranking system every match turns into a raggedy that’s heaps of fun - but it’s not real racing. That being says, the amount of cars and tracts in Forza is great, I just wish they had goofed some more F1 tracks. And the penalty system seems to be alot fairer.
It's all personal preferences, but GT sports blow my mind in car (console)handling, graphics and the overall presentation :) Forza looks a little cartoony etc, and the cars feel more floating.. and the steering wheels support in Forza is terrible. For me GT Sport is the winner here!
It's nuts the amount of details that are in racing sims now. If someone was asleep since 1999 and woke up today to see this, their head would explode
Not really. I played GT on PS1,2 extensively before getting out of gaming completely until a few months ago when I bought a PS5. People put far too much emphasis on graphics, if you’re watching shadows, trees and people in the grandstands you’ll get smoked and who gives a crap about replays.

I've loved Gran Turismo from the very beginning, it helped cultivate my love affair with cars that still exists today. Can't wait to get my hands on GT7 for the PS5
Same here!
@@JesusGarcia-wh2hc Man GT7 is going to be dope
@@eliasraspail3650 Man. So is Forza Motorsport 8.
Only a few more months now.
I love my Forza, but GT sport is a beautiful game. The color on the cars really do pop and the camera work on the replays look great.
replays in forza have always been disgusting. it's a constant juggle between camera angles that make no sense and stay on screen for too short. i wish they worked on that. but hey, it's not something easily marketable so turn10 doesn't give a fuck.

@woerink 103 cars is nothing
Your car is probably a 89 Honda Civic
Forza might be a more complete game in terms of content while GT focused more on quality.
better hw, shitty half ass coding from microcock, never again
I thought that the overall balance is worse in GT sport, while individual details are better.

GranTurismo 5 had 1089 cars, but now focuses on what really matters in a racing game. the gameplay above shows just how bland Forza is. it has no structure. Watching my replays on GT always brings smile to my face.
biggest thing about forza, it's way too fucking dark, as an owner of forza 7.
AMGV Media turn up your brightness?
Hola My G no it's just the sky is cloudy and just makes everything dim. Turning brightness up would make some things to bright
Especially great when racing with the Bugatti Chiron!

i dont forget about IA
I just remembered, every time I play GT Sport I realize I don’t see any other car in the pit stops, it’s like once they hit that line, they disappear, but still GT Sport is glorious, that’s what made me love it
Forza is for salty kids thats why.
I agree with everything you said.
GT Sports best audio visual HahahahahhahahaHhahahahahahhaha
😭😂😂 it has like 600 less cars and can barely compare to Forza which is 4K 60fps and GtSport only being able to get 1800p. But yea they have the “best audio- visual experience”. Literally, no. What next, is 7 a bigger number than 10?
Gran Turismo "the real driving simulator"
Not provoking anyone but hands down, better than Forza motorsport. Even though Forza is catching up.
Only issue I have is Series S is outselling series X by a massive margin. So will developers still aim Forza Motorsport 8 to play at 4k@120, 4k60 or 1080@120.

From overall presentation, I say GT Sport.

Really enjoyed the comparison but also the technical insight into how they work. I'm a Forza guy but pretty jealous of the lighting model/simulation on GT. The headlights and brake lights at night are amazing imo
Curtis Riceman whoa, lets welcome this Forza fan warmly to the prospect of being a Gran Turismo fan with kindness!
I think GT looks great...no trolling from me. Not fussed whether the weather is fixed or dynamic either!

Gt sport is a true art.
No comparison possible Digital Foundry, you know that GT SPORT looks so much better, I mean so much more realistic ! and it's only on PS4 Pro, imagine Gran Turismo on PC.

Brennan Lawrence The rest is just as awesome. It’s just lower on content, but VR, much better A.I. and online makes more than up for it.
Joe TheHitman if only T10 weren’t forced to push out a game every 2 years they might achieve something astronomical.
Wow, this is the most objective video game comparison video I've ever seen. You clearly know your stuff.
GT sport looks way better... not even close, so realistic, and its been much better these days with free DLC .
Dont you disappoint me comment section, i want to see some toxic, salty comments.
leonthesleepy you will you will
You got it dad
Dumpster chow mein
Amazing analysis and comparison, i think GT Sport looks better.
Definitely, but in my opinion Forza is more fun to drive. My friend and I played Gran Turismo 6 and we didn't like it. I can't exactly explain why (maybe it's the camera shake or blur or field of view or whatever), but Forza simply feels more exciting.
Ivan Rzhanoy that’s cause it’s more arcadey than any of the other racers.
Even more arcady than Burnout?
Seriously though, I wouldn't call it arcady (granted the assist is disabled). It's definitely has a strong simulator vibe to me. I am not the one to judge it though, because I don't spend hours on racing games.
I totally agree with that point of vision
Video Games Sounds *Now we could say "GT came out after Forza so it should look slightly better", the same logic that is used to try and justify the 1Xs big power difference over the pro, but I'm not going to say that, and neither should fanboys try and make excuses for the pro, it is what it is, Congratulations Sony and a great looking racer, and Congratulations Xbox on a beast of a console.* 😊
*See power isn't everything, which is what Xbox fans have been trying to tell Playstation fans all along, so chill, it's ok ☺️, but make no mistake...this is only the beginning 😜😜😜, jk lol, I'm sure both companies have great things cooking up, so either way both communities will win with this new era of amazing tech, happy gaming my brothers, stay humble.* 🙏💗
Gt sport is still not finished, there will be a huge content update and new cars in december!
A released game is supposed to be finished, right? I dont remember polyphony saying that it is in early acces or anything like that..
I thought it was a released title?
Σταμάτης Κωτάκις Still getting new stuff.
Without a doubt the best Forza vs. GT comparison of all time. Completely unbiased and correctly broken down on both a smart and deep level. BRavo!
Excellent video! I was hoping to pick up F7 with my X but i think i will pick up GTS instead.
GT Sport for the win!
Now if only we could have a game like forza horizon :(
I have played both and to be honest, Gran Turismo looks much better, however, the few annoyances do break up the experience a bit more but some moments look jawdroppingly good!
I hate how the car paint reacts to light in Forza
Anyway, I am mostly playing Forza Horizon 4 now and the game is great but still doesn't look as good as GT sport.. even on pc at the highest settings, the lighting simply isn't as good.
Totally true.
@@norcal9168 😂😂
@@Jason74357 Gt Sport will look a little blurry on a 4k display. That's why I'm going to go with Forza. 1800p cbr.... Isn't great
GTS definitely looks better, but I have to give the win to Forza, partially because there’s more content but mostly because you can actually own Forza Motorsport 7.
Honestly whenever they switch footage from one game to another, i can't tell which one is which without looking for the game title.
number of polygons in GT is just crazy
Michał Drabarek is that why some cars have curved surfaces with obvious breaks?
@@waking00one nothing's perfect mate
GT Sport loooks better.
Totally biased opinion
@@ctm9364 That's the point of an opinion, dipshit...
@@captainkappa9067 whoa there buddy, chill out
5:45 I can't believe someone signed off on the Forza model and thought that was close enough.
ainchamama Even as a GT sports fan you must give them credit.
Wow GT SPORT looks amazing!
GT Sport looks better
gehan64gaming cause they spent 6 months on every car
It’s damn crazy
Admnightmare i know it’s a true fact that’s why I said it
Motor Hub Now i know why The collection car on GTS is too short
In this video I agree with you. From my own experience in person I can say that this video did not do Forza justice mainly because I’ve never seen Forza that dark before. Maybe the PC settings were very different from console idk. That said, I’ve never played GT in person so I can’t really say which is better. Does GT have 2 cockpit views? I really like the 2nd cockpit view Forza added. Makes driving in rain a lot easier to see.
Games aren't all about looks.
as a hardcore forza fan i gotta say the lighting in gt sport looks fucking awesome, its hands down better than forza....gt sport might end up being the next gt game i play, everything since ps2 days has been a giant letdown
GT been napping for 10 years its about time it woke up
You won't regret it. It's the best GT game since over a decade. Maybe even the best ever imho.
nailed it
On PC. Redo this comparison on an X1X and I’ll take it seriously.
J C You do realise this PC is FASTER than the XBox One X?!
Impressive work John, You nailed every title with total scope & did squeeze every bit of positivity in each one, Keep up the good work
You also have to understand that Forza games are made in a shorter amount of time and also have an open world experience spinoff as well. In my opinion I feel like Forza does it right and if they took more time like GT, they would match the quality of detail and maintain the high ground on car count.
Exactly . T10 is overworked and thankfully took a break this year so they can give us a decent next gen experience next year (hopefully)
Yeah. I hope they can deliver with Forza Motorsport on the Xbox Series. I can't wait!
Damn I'm starting to think lootcrate 7 lost this one
Levonte King lol rpm at work lol jk....... gt sport looks Incredible
as Forza isn't match for GTS, how about GTS VS DRIVECLUB
Alejandro Rocha what about forza vs mario kart?
Toto Wolff Ahahah nerd, get a life.
Toto Wolff i love this comment
Driveclub is only 30 fps = Driveclub loses
Sony: less content is a fair compromise for slightly better lighting.
Gran Turismo is the better one ive been playing it all my life and i still play the original one
As a Forza fan, GT Spot is awesome!!
Fritz Javel yeah GT Spot is awesome
This is why a new GT doesn't take only 2 years to make
one thing i do notice a lot in forza on my xbone is when racing in cockpit view there are often glitches/artifacts. mostly black squares(mostly minor but bigger ones at times) appearing next to the A-pillar. on some tracksit doesnt happen but it does happen often when racing on Laguna Seca.
admit it the intro to GT Sport is the best intro you have ever seen and if you havent seen it WATCH IT
It's pretty sweet but it's no Ridge Racer Type 4.
I’ll have to check it out but in my opinion GT5 has a nice intro
GT2, 3 and 4 intros were better tho. Both JPN and PAL versions.
agreed!
But it doesn't have moon over the castle :(
Why forza looks so dim like it was always night time? It looked the same in the demo i played.
Quality over quantity?
Or maybe both. Pretty happy with F7 myself. Can't really justify buying a racing game with less than 200 cars in this day and age.
arup02 you got to remember there will be free dlc of cars coming soon on gts next year.
Tbh those 160 cars in GT Sport are not a small number, and I know that other games have more but still, one hundred and sixty cars and each one feel different, sound different, drive different etc.
itsToon quality
GT Sport is the better game, and I only okay first. The inclusion of a proper pit crew, qualifying, different tires and fuel all make the game a far better racing game. Forza on the other hand feels very Arcadey, and with no ranking system every match turns into a raggedy that’s heaps of fun - but it’s not real racing.
That being says, the amount of cars and tracts in Forza is great, I just wish they had goofed some more F1 tracks. And the penalty system seems to be alot fairer.
Thank you, that was a great comparison video, truly one of the best I've seen for any games.
what's the music playing at the beginning?
Piers Baron - As Our Witness
Ipsen's Castle also used in GTSport’s promo earlier this year
GT trailer e3 😉
And what's the song in the middle that sounds like Placebo?
It's all personal preferences, but GT sports blow my mind in car (console)handling, graphics and the overall presentation :)
Forza looks a little cartoony etc, and the cars feel more floating.. and the steering wheels support in Forza is terrible.
For me GT Sport is the winner here!
One of the best side by side comparisons I've ever seen. Thank you.
