One of the best songs in that album.
Chohkri Yulis. especially the ending
yeah man :)
Dejan Ilješ halo on fire spit out the bone and moth are also amazin... atlas was goood but wasnt like them hardwired was short and sweet and here comes revenge..... wow am i savage catchy confusion thraaash mununkind THE RIFF! and murder one nice tribute now that we're dead had a nice solo and lords of summer blew the album away with the good meaning
Chohkri Yulis. The best for me!
There are five songs from this album I still haven't listened. Spit out the bone maybe my top favourite. My heart is really broken when buy St Anger. St Anger - Death Magnetic - i'm sulked !hahaha. But this album sure I will buy. (:
Working title: "Dance of the Memory of the Call of the Harvester of Sad Truth That Jack Built That Should Not Be"
Yeah, basically like all their heaviest songs.
I do love these videos showing the evolution of songs.
Me too...
They’re the best!
i like how they take slapped together riffs and put them into a whole album of slapped together riffs only a little more produced
4:01 the heaviest riff in the album, you can feel the anger in lars´s face when he plays the drums in that part
Fernando Escalona the am i savage breakdown is slightly heavier for me
AGREEE
Has a bit of Sad But True and a bit of the Thing that should not be. The "you turn to stone," part is so f'ing heavy.
Sad but true + memory remains + thing that should not be
2 of the heaviest Metallica songs fused into one heavy song
Ty Manning It’s basically the sequel to Thing that should not be tbh, same subject matter, both slower headbangers in a lower tuning than usual.
@@benhemsworth8555 and the chorus is literally the same chug and drum beat
All 3 of them are in D Standard.
Lars GROWL at 4:02 .... He's not the best, but he's pure soul and energy while making music. Legend.
4:03 Man Lars is really living the song here
Michael Angelo H. I did just🤣
Ahmad Al-Sayyed love that part!
I think we just saw Lars climax on camera
If by living you mean struggling, then yeah.
I’m amazed these don’t have more views. This is gold for any Metallica fan, and I know there are millions of us.
Shock 😲😲 there only 948 comments that more shocked
3:15
-"Make him stay away From the WAH"
-"Right"
-"WREAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhh "
One of the grooviest song from the new record, quite reminiscent of Load :)
I love playing the main riff!
Kaosware i agree!
It's like how The Thing That Should Not be would have sounded if it were written during the Load recording sessions with a large slab of Sabbath thrown on top of it garnished with Sad But True
Amazing song
6:23 I love James and Rob's teamwork right there!
I fucking LOVE the chorus of this song.
1:51 "its got a nice sabbath feel" I thought the same when I heard James "He sleeps under black seas waiting
Lies dreaming in death
He sleeps under cosmos shaking
Stars granting his breath
He wakes as the world dies screaming
All horrors arrive
He wakes giving earth its bleeding
Pure madness alive"
The cadence and tempo of his lyrics gave me the same feeling. Sounds like something Ozzy himself would have on a record.
I was thinking Alice in Chains as well on some parts
I thought AIC too especially with the harmonies in the verse
Rob Stone In the part of this video where he's trying to find a harmony for "Cthulhu, awaken!", I immediately went to a Statrell-type lower-fifth harmony, similar to what went on the album, but, not the same.
It’s straight lovecraft which is a huge inspiration for sabbath, the songs Black Sabbath and behind the wall of sleep are based on lovecraft books
Geezer writes the lyrics
3:47 is definitely the best I've heard Lars play in a long time.
He was feeling it
Bro morphed into a demon
@@wokeyoda96 I was thinking the same thing. He was fully unleashed.
You must not listen much.
it's called a click track
6:41 did he just pull out a new hand from his pocket?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA dostum yardın beni tebrik ediyorum
HE DID!! 😳😳
So much fun watching these guys make music. Something no other band does. Keep up the METAL guys!
Slipknot done this years ago^^
***** So becouse it does not fit in your taste it isnt a metal band? If you want or not, Core Metal is also metal. You sound like a outsider who says "Metal is just noice and not music" good music have to sound like Just Bieber!"
Also he was talking about bands in gerneral so even slipknot would not be a metal band your argument would be wrong ;)
The_Red Bullet Dream Theater, Exodus did some cool vids too (not full track-making of though), Behemoth had something short too, and Ayreon (if you give a shit about prog metal/rock).
GT8686 Yeah It was sounding likea only Metallica did it LOL. Didn't mean it that way haha
Some kind of monster came out 12 years ago lol and that shit went up on movie theaters, few bands can do that stuff.
A mix between Devils Dance and The Thing That Should Not Be.
MJNation and sad but true for sure.
The Thing That Should Not Be + Slither
Kay Bizzy wow lol
aye good comparision
19ThreeLions97 thx
the part at 7:01 kills me haha "nyyyyeeeeeaaahhhhhhWAKE...........WAKE"
Ethan Brumback ikr especially how awkward they look when they wait to say wake the second time lmao
Cliff Senac the air drums tho😂😂😂
Ethan Brumback Makes me wonder of he could drum an sing simultaneously, especially something as relatively simple as Dream No More.
@@MKDumas1981 I'm pretty sure James knows how to play the drums, maybe not amazingly but he's probably at least as good as I am😂 Wouldn't be surprised if he could
@@MyNameIsNidos he's actually really fuckin good on drums (it was his first instrument). There's a show they did a while ago where they all swapped instruments and did Am I Evil. Kirk on bass, James on drums, Jason on guitar and Lars doing vocals.
3:46 - 4:16
Producer: So Lars, how hard are you gonna hit the drums?
Lars: *YES*
you know.. i haven't bought music in a VERY VERY (i mean it) LONG time and this album made me buy it instantly. fucking awesome tracks holy shit \m/
PacTheOne same here.
PacTheOne ditto, probably one of a couple since death magnetic
last album i buy from them is St anger....after that i sulked.
One thing I noticed with the behind the scenes vids for this album, is how good and calm the atmosphere in the studio is. It's worlds away from the Some Kind of Monster documentary. You can tell that each of them is loving the process. Lars is properly getting into it. James sounds amazing. They are coming out with ideas like it's nothing. Easily the best Metallica have been since the Black album imo. I like both Load and Reload, but hardly ever listen to them.
One of my personal favourites, i can't wait to hear this album live!
Man, I could watch these videos all day
*BRASIL LOVES METALLICA!!*
Caio Cesar SPIDER MAN LOVES BRASIL...
Caio Cesar LONDON LOVES METALLICA
1 1 Everybody loves Metallica dude haushshsu
Metallica loves basil!
it's so pleasant to see that big Metallica Brasil on the studio.
Muito bom mesmo!
the Best song of the New album. Just for me
for me too!
yeah its heavy! love the parts in the song when James is singing "turn to stone"
jbs68 it reminds me of Load and Reload. this Song is just perfect!
Yes!
@Master Pontius: ...and meets Black Sabbath.
Cool song. James voice sounds phenomenal on this track.
I just love the heavy groove that this tune has. Kind of like if "Sad but True" mated with a riff from Load.
Great album. This is my favorite track. The blues like somber rifts and the lyrics are mesmerizing and haunting.
It is unbelievable to me how great the record is!! It is everything I ever dreamed off, sonicly I think it's their best album to date!
I'm the kind of guy who thinks Metallica went downhill with the black album, and even I have to admit the newest album is one of the most played CDs in my car.
Absolutely man. Haters in the end will hate. But i am proud of Metallica and this album. I spin it every week. Favorite track is Murder One, love Kirk’s solo. 🤘🔥
I'd place it near the middle or slightly higher on my list. I actually listen to it much more than Ride the lightning and Justice combined (ride is my 2nd favourite though)
The songwriting is great but the production is shit in my opinion. The guitars sound dry and brittle, and every thing sounds over compressed.
@@sirbattlecat you're missing out on some good tunes then. The quality in music didn't change with Metallica in the 90's but they certainly changed sound.
The House That Jack Built, Unnamed Feeling, Until it Sleeps, Cure, Ronnie, Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn... All great songs from 90's Metallica albums.
"Obviously he has to stay away from the wah"
@Ted Wilson what? James reaction was not even close to that.
This statement is true for 80% of the time xD
i LOVE these making off's
*****
thanks mama
Alpha Darko Charlie same, I rewatch them many times, just wished they were longer
Yeah man I can't stop watching. Hope they release the rest of these.
Absolutley loving these behind the scenes things. Awesome to see these guys go through the creative process.
Loving this series!
I check for updates everyday.....obsessed with this album.
7:06 When you dont want to get off the bed in the morning.
The ending of this song is so fucking heavy, loved it
4:02 the heaviness of the song swamps over Lars
Rule of watching metallica's videos:
ALWAYS PUT LIKE FIRST.
I wish these were like an hour each! hint hint, Metallica!
Greatest song on great album (of great band). :)
hahahaha
+Dan 2c plus I'll admit first listen I was like ok it's decent but after one more listen this is the song I've come back to it's just heavy and pleasant to listen to
Gus Prado I mean, I understand opinions, but how in Gods name is this better than spit out the bone?
Dan 2c plus spit out the bone is third in my opinion
Dan 2c plus atlas was my favorite when I heard it then 2nd hardwired then I'd say spit out the bone
3:50-4:00 Lars is really vibin' it haha, he's in the zone
This is my favorite song on this album. Memory remains brought me to metal and Metallica and changed my life spawning a career as a guitar player the moment I saw Kirk’s guitar solo rip in and blow my mind. This song reminds me of the Thing that Should Not Be, Memory Remains, and obviously is cool that Ktulu is back to share more of his story. Love this song
WAKE!
....
....
....
WAKE!
7:00 NIIIIIIAEAUOIEAUIO, WAKE! WAKE!
I love that they show the mistakes. Metallica is like a master class in making music/performance. It's nice to see that they duff it up from time to time, and that they leave it in the video for us to see.
Nice Oranssi Pazuzu shirt, James! 4:44
06:53 This part was awesome, I pictured this moment really metal, and then James said it... Love these videos!!!
I feel like this is a child of The Thing that Should Not Be and The Memory Remains. And yet people hate it for some reason. Both are good songs.
I hear house that jack built a little bit
Goabnb94 I can hear Black Sabbath, Where The Wild Things Are, Sad But True, Memory Remains and The Thing That Should Not Be.
6:10 godamn man Kirk sounds so clean here in a raw setting, no Wah etc. I wish more of his final album leads sounded like that.
this is a very cool song so many cool things they added to it like the Janes and Rob wake and the little things like that
Those type of videos are completly AWESOME!!
7:00 I'll put it as an alarm for my cell phone xD
really nice to see james at peace and content, clearly he was dealt a rough blow in his youth and music was his only release and it took him years to figure it all out, losing Cliff must have been a nightmare for his attachment issues after his mother passed, most people couldn't even relate to that, fame and fortune is not a cure for everything, in fact it can be ultimately detrimental, which kind of what happed with Papa Het, yeah its always nice to go back and watch them in seattle, moscow, texas or san diego, but i'd much prefer this in a way because, the man deserves the happiness, you can feel his good heart beating strong. Top lad James!
that chorus is the heaviest thing they've written in 25 years
The reason I've been listening since 86. They never stop kicking arse. Simple, heavy, and bad fucking ass. Thank you gentlemen.
My favourite song from the album...fucking awesome
It's great seeing all these behind the scenes videos. Metallica truly are the band of the people.
one of my favorite songs on the album
The sound at 4:05 imagine how cool it would be havin it on the final mix.... Savage!
3:53 Look at his face KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Such a shame we can't hear the end "tutorial" of these video's but the end-remastered-result.
Would love to hear those studio versions like A7X did on all of their albums.
How the fuck did Rob not get a writing credit?
Lee Mcqueen yeah, remember on death magnetic they were all peace and love and splitting everything evenly.
Lee Mcqueen they said he did in like 2 songs
Pretty sure the internet is the only one that cares...
How does he deserve one? Not trying to be an as juse genuinely wondering. if you mean because of the backup thing, my guess is that James wrote that part and said to Rob to do it with him. That does not earn you a writing credit.
Do you mean the bit from 0:54 to 1:32.
This is definitely one of my favourites on the new album. I love the simplicity.
The simplicity is just great.
My favourite song
lol..lar's "facials" at about 4.03 when he's kicks back into the songs' rhythm..priceless..sums up the joy of great heavy rock music when it "hits the spot"
James is wearing an Oranssi Pazuzu shirt? I'll be fucking damned.
This is my favourite track on the record. So much Metallica ATTITUDE!
This song has such a Devils Dance vibe to it, man do I love it!
these making of are great looking through their eyes
Would love to see more of these!!!
best music ever
It's interesting that one of the song titles is still blurred on the board. James and the band have talked about recording another album pretty soon after this one (by soon as in within the next couple of years when they finish touring this album). Maybe the blurred track is one getting saved for the next one?
Please put out more of these!!!!!!!!!!!
LMAO at the producer try to keep Kirk away from the Wha.
One of my favorites too, James
Lars facial expressions whilst drumming at around 4:00 LOL
3:47 You tell me that isn't a guy giving his all for the song.. And absolutely loving his job at the same time. 🤘🙂🤘
7:00 - 7:17 just looks funny
Magnificent work. Great tune.
3:53 When you release your inner chipmunk
One of my faves.... had that Reload/grungey thing going for it
What a fucking GREAT album and song
6:58 Iron Cross, EET FUK, Electra Flying V, More Beer and So Fucking What! explorers. What a beautiful shot.
Papa lars still got it.. \m/
A DVD of all of these "Making of..." videos would have been better than the 3rd disc of rehashed songs I've heard a million times.
Love this song!!
Thanks for all the hard work guys.
And thanks for all the cool extra footage and behind the scenes stuff. It's really great.
6:15
I can't believe you guys have the Green-Moore Les Paul just hanging there.
This one is absolutely my favorite in the album!
3:14 James was about to kick the producer in the nuts for making fun of Kirk always using the wah. But James stayed calm, and kept his cool. If it was me, I would have fired the producer!.
But it's true though...
Dear Metallica, please never stop writing music.
upload every second that you have
This song is just... amazing dude!!!
LOL I love the faces Lars makes whle playing. So funny. Classic Lars
I love James and Robert two dudes in their fiftees just singing and having fun.
i want james sayin awaken as my alarm clock
*WAKE*
DREAMING NO MORE
Dethklok - Awaken
My fave song the album. So underrated, so heavy!
Nobody:
James: EEEEYEEEYEyeeeeeeeeeyuhhhhhhhooohyeaaaahg WAKE
The Cthulhu awaken part was so fun to watch, these guys dedicate so much on every detail!
not a metallica fan but these videos fucking rule
Nor was I until I watched all these vids
This is my favorite song on the album, powerful message then Atlas, Rise! a close second.
