She can even add a picture to the Murphy desk “leg” so when it’s up it’s a cute cabinet with a picture on it. And when it’s open it’s cool artwork on the side of the desk.
Yes! What if it was a gallery nook ? So when the desk is folded up it looks like it's just another frame so it almost just disappears when you want to switch off and not think about work. 💫
Exactly what I was thinking! Much better than the basket, too, because it would be covered and usable as another horizontal surface when she is working at the desk.
As adorable as this is, and it really, really, really is adorable, I was expecting her sewing machine to be a part of her work space. Does this mean there will be a future video showing how you gave her an awesome sewing zone too? 😁
@@observer698 My sewing machines are very easy to find in my sewing/craft room. They may not be decorative, but they are beautiful to me because I enjoy sewing so much.
Looks great but the one thing that is missing is lightning. For a craft like embroidery (not crochet like you called it) that so detailed you need really good lighting, specially in a corner like that, that's away from natural light.
Came here to say the same. I do handsewing and embroidery myself, and dealing with lighting is so difficult. And so important. And now this girl gets a nice looking nook without any light. And a nice table where she sits with her back to the room lights.
Yesterday I googled “bedroom - office makeover “ because I need inspiration to rearrange my living space. This makeover is so cute, functional and fun!
Nice make over but my eyes hurt! Had to reduce the brightness on my device as this video is overexposed. For all the people commenting about the sewing machine it’s mentioned at 3.40 that bianca sold it
I love the Murphy desk, it makes perfect sense in that tight space! (But she needs a light for embroidery--her body will block the light from the ceiling fixture.)
That accent wall, hm ... Totally not my style but this is actually one my favourite transformations! I has really not expecting that! 😲 The Murphy desk was GENIUS and a great way to separate the work space from the sleeping space when it's closed. Bravo, really well done 👏🏻👏🏻
I like how she can use the space better now. I would love to see the black oval frame still bring the corner together. It has so much character and really seems like her.
I think there could also be a light of some sort, as crafts and reading both need proper lighting and sitting towards the wall, you’re likely to cast your own shadow on your work. The desk and peg wall are amazing ideas!
You did such a good job and Bianca seems happy!!! I love pink and this is a great way to do it without overkill. The pegboard storage is a fantastic idea and it looks so neat. Thanks for sharing your talent with us, @Alexandra Gater!
You are seriously an interior design guru! 👏🏻 You were one of the channels that motivated me to start on UA-cam in the first place so I can’t thank you enough! 🥰 Love your channel girl! This makeover came out SO good! 💛
This is so good, you nailed it! Everytime you use those peg boards I think 'where can I put that in my flat?' They're just so nice and such a great way of using vertical space!
Another beautiful design! 🤩 For those who don’t like it, you have to learn to appreciate different decor styles because Alexandra nails this style every time.
I have an office nook in my bedroom. Will definitely transfer it in a nook in the living room. But in the meantime, I was deliberating whether to buy a swivel office chair or a statement chair but comfortable. You just convinced me! Going for a double purpose chair that I can use as extra chair in the living or dining room. Thank you!
I’m in stitches..as Alexandra said about finding a space for iron, yarn etc I thought ‘a basket’ & voila! Gorgeous nook! Happy crafting. Oh and that dress yellow is stunning on you Alexandra
I love it! That desk is so clever, and I need to try out that painting technique! It looks almost like a lime wash! Thanks for showing us the technique!
I don't have a Murphy Desk/Wall Bed but I think they are great. Adding a piece of artwork in this situation would really elevate the space, especially as a reading space. In other areas you could add a mirror.
Suggestions: The cute storage bag where the iron and other random items were tossed, that could be a waste bin. If she decides to use the bag as it is, install a hook on the wall to get it up off the floor. Easy clean up. The other items tossed in the bag... yarn and sewing material box.. go vertical: a corner wall mount shelf above the peg board is a great place to store these items. Place the yarn in a white plastic basket/bin. Store both the sewing box and yarn bin on the shelf. The iron could actually go up there too. OR the iron could be placed on a hook/storage with the ironing board and mounted behind the door.
Inspired! Efficient! Beautiful! Perfectly suited to the client! Question: Did I miss the part about where the lighting is? Because you are always so attentive to that aspect of any space you work on.
Exactly what I was wondering. You have it as a reading Nook, and you have it as a little work space. Where is the overhead light that will assist in all this?
It's gorgeous! Alexandra, can you do a tutorial on painting a wall ( prep, supplies, technique, clean-up) and how to hang the floating shelves you use?
Loved the painting technique. Can you possibly make another video explaining it a bit further? Glaze paint, regular paint? What kind of cloth? I was a bit confused with your explanation. Loved the result!
Bianca’s design sense is also very good. Her condo was furnished really nicely. Very pretty and now she has another pretty space to work.
Christine Aufmann I thought the same! Also her aesthetic is right up Alexandra’s alley!! Lol
She can even add a picture to the Murphy desk “leg” so when it’s up it’s a cute cabinet with a picture on it. And when it’s open it’s cool artwork on the side of the desk.
i was thinking that like maybe her logo as artwork
Yes! That brings to mind the wonderful TV cabinets of that one Buy or DIY episode. Loved that episode.
Yes! What if it was a gallery nook ? So when the desk is folded up it looks like it's just another frame so it almost just disappears when you want to switch off and not think about work. 💫
Totes!
Can we take a moment to appreciate how dang cute Bianca’s space was before and after?! Sooooo cute!!
I agree -- it's adorable!!
Her before is GORGEOUS
I know !!!!
Let’s state the obvious. This lady knows how decorate she has a very pretty place.
In love with the hack it made the space soo much airy and light. A pendent light would literally be the cherry on the cake
Love the accent wall. You nailed her aesthetic and the velvet chair is gorgeous 💓
This is so far the most clever hack of you, Alexandra. Now i need that too!
I think it would be interesting to revisit the made over spaces to see what worked well in daily life and what naturally changed.
It would’ve been nicer to put the extra items in a storage ottoman instead of a basket. That way she has somewhere to put her feet up when she reads
Exactly what I was thinking! Much better than the basket, too, because it would be covered and usable as another horizontal surface when she is working at the desk.
Very clever!
Who reads in a little uncomfortable dining chair? Not exactly curling up with a good book.
This was a good one. So practical, functional and beautifully designed, without being over the top.
This is my absolute favorite transformation you’ve ever done! The murphy desk is genius!
Yeah I agree! It’s genius! And I love that pink!
Is it just me or this video is super bright? 😩
Zuza Mal Not just you, I got a mild headache and had to turn the brightness on my phone way down.
Zuza Mal ya it’s killing me
Yeah me too!
I was wondering if it was just my tv, I couldn’t see what she was doing at all when she was painting the wall
And the sound is sooo low
That little nonna portrait is adorable
As adorable as this is, and it really, really, really is adorable, I was expecting her sewing machine to be a part of her work space. Does this mean there will be a future video showing how you gave her an awesome sewing zone too? 😁
same here ... my eyes literally looked for the sewing machine since it is her main tool in her work...
@@observer698 My sewing machines are very easy to find in my sewing/craft room. They may not be decorative, but they are beautiful to me because I enjoy sewing so much.

Her reaction is so sweet and sincere 💖
You are rocking that orange dress, girl.
I love it too!!
I was thinking the same thing! Wonder where it's from :)
This little nook is gorgeous! I’d be jealous if I didn’t have my own giant peg board 😉
Yandy Zuo 😂😂😂❤️
Oh yeah yours is very beautiful too I've watced it and love it ❤ she did an amazing job again
This is such a gorgeous craft nook! Love the bedroom too
The luxury and beauty of the velvet chair! Perfection!
This is my favorite episode of this series! I love everything about this little nook.
The nook looks nice. Now the owner needs just to resolve a lighting situation, which is the most important part for an embroidery space.
Yesterday I googled “bedroom - office makeover “ because I need inspiration to rearrange my living space. This makeover is so cute, functional and fun!

red ah i was looking for this comment cause I was thinking it was only me!
I thought it said she sold the sewing machine desk?
@@iamwindchakra it looks like the sewing machine is part of the desk, like built in to it. Check the video at 1:20.
I love the Murphy desk, it makes perfect sense in that tight space! (But she needs a light for embroidery--her body will block the light from the ceiling fixture.)
my thoughts exactly.
This is an amazing glow up of her work nook, although Bianca already has a great sense of style!
She loved it, yay!!! Looks great. But that velvet chair.. cuteness overload! I need it in my own room like asap!
This is such a good use of space. Thanks for showing that even a little space can be multifunctional.
That apricot color is glorious on you. Love the nook!
I love Chico's vibe. He will be great for a quick 5-10min max no nonsense series.
I love seeing how happy everyone is with their “after” spaces. 💖 Bianca has such a beautiful sense of style.

bianca is the cutest! and so is her new work space!
I love how organized everything was without feeling cluttered. Gives me some ideas for my own work/art/living space!
Love the pink velvet chair, it matches perfectly with her decor and looks comforatable. The foldaway desk is also a great solution. A cosy nook.
It's so beautiful, but where did they put her sewing machine??
She sold it, because she wasn't using it
I’m so glad you did a painted wall mural. I was contemplating buying a wallpaper like that but the price was outrageous. Great alternative!
Alexandra, your videos are such a breath of fresh air during quarantine! Love this space!
So smart! I loved her reaction, too. I don’t know if you know her personally, but you always have such a great rapport with your clients.
You did such a good job and Bianca seems happy!!! I love pink and this is a great way to do it without overkill. The pegboard storage is a fantastic idea and it looks so neat. Thanks for sharing your talent with us, @Alexandra Gater!

omg you nailed this! so freaking cute. love the wall
Bianca's space is cute even before and even more beautiful after. 😍😍😍
her reaction is so cute!!! so genuine

Bianca’s cat is the boss!! 😻😻😻😻
that chair in her living room is life
This one was one of the best episodes so far !! Always so cute and inspiring 😍
@@beth5633 why are you so rude to her? She loved it, who are you to say she shouldn't?
So cute! It fits perfectly with what she does!
love the paint color, the chair, and the murphy desk!
This is such a great idea. Wow. And off topic, that outfit looks good on you😊.

I love that Murphy desk! Such a cute nook
Truly transformed that nook!
This is one of my all time faves! I think it's the pink. 🧐🤨😉😊
I love it! That desk is so clever, and I need to try out that painting technique! It looks almost like a lime wash! Thanks for showing us the technique!
The space looked so good!!! Also, that orange dress looks amazing on you!
Loved this small space organization i need something like this for my bedroom
You just get better and better! I love it!
LOVE that orange dress!! Gorgeous

I love my Murphy bed! I live in 375 square feet. During the day I have a nice size living area. So happy!
Loved her reaction. The murphy desk is really cool. 👏
Aaawww. You made her so happy. That was sweet. ❤️
I love Bianca’s style ❤️ very much my vibe!
Omg I loveeeeee that desk!!!💕💕💕 I need that! Bianca has such a lovely home. Great job Alexandra! Another successful makeover!🤘💃💯
I dont know if this video is too bright white, but its hurting my eyes! I love the peg boards!
Love the space!! But you in that orange dress look INCREDIBLE!!
What a beautiful apartment and I love the new office space.
Oh my gosh! You killed it!!
I feel like you gave her exactly what she needed but also got her style perfectly!
I haven’t even finished the video yet but needed to comment that your dress is sooooo cute.

This brought a big smile to my face! Love this makeover!
I love how easy you made that accent wall look.
What??? This is so innovative. Well done.
I’m always amazed at how you can see how all this will work. I have no ability to visualize and find organizational solutions

Chico! He is awesome! I wish I had someone knowledgeable like him
A dream space and so functional at the same time. You did a beautiful job Alexandra!! 🙂
I LOVE that desk. I want to get one and put a picture or paint something on it for when it's not in use.
Well Bianca is adorable! LOVED this one! X
It's gorgeous!
Alexandra, can you do a tutorial on painting a wall ( prep, supplies, technique, clean-up) and how to hang the floating shelves you use?
This dress and nail combo, guuuuurl!
Suuuuupercure! I love every little detail of this makeover!!!
it turned out so well!! great job alexandra 🥰
I couldn't stop smiling! This was so cute :")
Beautiful light airy! 😊
I was so excited to see the sewing table in the pin! I wanted to see how Alexandra was gonna make it work 😭 😢
Loved the painting technique. Can you possibly make another video explaining it a bit further? Glaze paint, regular paint? What kind of cloth? I was a bit confused with your explanation. Loved the result!
Absolutely gorgeous. Can’t wait to try that wall.
I love interior design and really enjoy watching your videos
Love the name of your series
Wow!😍 Accent wall - Gorg!!!
LOVE LOVE the walls... Thinking my next place I will do that in my bedroom. Blue (Fave color.)
