I know a lot of people aren't a fan of the light fixture but I kind of like it lol It reminds me of a beachy vibe and feels like she brought an outside island vibe inside. Which is a nice touch I would enjoy. Being surrounded by everyday modern and being stuck inside I would enjoy the beachy vibe!
Awe, I really wanted to see the bedroom too. I was like oohhh we are getting a two for one...and then we it was just the office. BUT wow the office turned out really amazing and the light had grown on me...the only part I don't like is the way the straw kind flips out at the end, but the feel of it fits the room for sure.
I think it was '2 for 1' because it is an office AND a living room area in one room. But yesss, hope Alexandra does the bedroom too! Would love to see that in another video.
Love the light fixture is so avant-garde not your typical basic & standard look gives the area personality and uniqueness the straws gives me a beachy a cabana look
I really liked the end result. Trimming the hanging lamp shade made all the difference - I can't say I love it, but I did think it added texture to the space.
A) you are the cutest thing ever! B) when you trimmed the lamp it made my entire life (saw it on your behind the scenes video) c) Putting a collage up with cutesy tape is genius and TOTALLY gives it a scrapbook vibe! You are a genius! That’s it, that’s the post. 💕
It’s funny, when you see the light fixture from the door, I understand everyone who says they don’t like it. But when you showed the other angle looking out to the couch area, it makes total sense. It goes with the artsy, boho, eclectic vibe.
One of my favorite makeovers you have ever done! I love the funky light and the dark masculine colors mixed with feminine. Exactly how I decorate too. Great job!
You smashed it out the park - really successful use of space and repurposing of objects the client already had. Love the pendant light - nice to see you using a different light instead of that IKEA one! Brava!
This is my favourite make my space work so far. I was unsure about the ceiling light fixture at first, but above the desk, it works, because in that way, it doesn't obstruct movement or view.
I like the light fixture, but not in that space, at least not the office half of the space. It looks like it belongs in a beach hut and it blocks all the stuff in the background. I think it would be nice on the living side of the space. Either way, great transformation!
Love the light fixture! It makes the room warm and is a truly original antithesis to a cold industrial look that’s almost become cliche for functional (office and kitchen) lighting. Go with it!
Great job! It’s basically such a nasty room - it looks like some cheaply- built extension - and this has transformed it. I like the light fixture too! I think it works for the office of an artistic and creative person like Kim.
I really love how you fixed so many issues with the space and made it look totally different. The blind for the bathroom window is perfect as is the mood board covering the hideous electrical panel. I loved both the "office" side and the lounge side. There're so many great ideas in this one video for what can seem like an awkward space. Plus you really put Kim into it. I really hope this new office gives her inspiration and makes her happy. 💖💖💖
Aside from the light fixture, everything else about this room is just brilliant. I can't believe how well the space was utilised, especially the actual office space and where the desk was put a I would have never thought about putting it there..... it all looked incredible and so professional yet stylish.
I actually like the light! It’s “light” and airy and acts as a bit of a statement piece that suits the space! I probably would have chosen a rhipsalis or string of pearls for the hanging plants though as they are a brighter green and would have contrasted with the wall nicer😍
I just wanted to say thanks for working so hard and posting so many videos, you and your fellow youtubers are truly one of the few things keeping me sane through this.
All teasing aside about the lamp, I really loved this episode. I think this was my favorite makeover! It just shows you that you can use the stuff you already own and make a fantastic new space!
Great room transformation. We utilize all of our spaces. Repurposed dining room to sewing/embroidery area. Lounge-reading space right next to it with all of my supplies in enclosed bookcases. Redid adult daughter's former room with movie and game watching capability, a treadmill and serger sewing machine. Basement has full workout room. Every square inch has a useful purpose.
This is my favorite makeover of yours that I've seen so far!! I absolutely love every single part of it (especially that shaggy light fixture...so cute! 😍)
As always, you did a beautiful job with this! I really like that you painted the window trim...it makes them look like picture frames so that the outside is now art for the inside. And surprisingly, I love the light fixture...I think it fits this space perfectly!
I've just discovered this new channel of yours ⭐️ Live how professionally shot it is and your personality. Looking forward to seeing more home office makeovers as they are so central to our lives right now.
Loved it. We just bought our first home and I have been stalking your channel for inspiration and ideas. Loved the charcoal wall - I am going to do the same in my music studio room. Oh and loved the rug, the windows and hanging plants. It's really cosy, modern and charming :)
Hello from France! This is probably my favorite makeover from all your videos. It is really a transformation and it turns the space into a positive workplace. I would have loved to see the transformation of the bedroom too... 😜 Best regards from Alsace, eastern France. Marie-Hélène
I love the light!! And the art! And the plants! I learned some great tips on this episode (white washing the wood, hanging over the electrical panel, string of hearts). Nice!
I always moved, I independently studied home decor since I was 12. I wish I had a coffee table book of all my places, from my houses, to my single rooms, to my basement suites, to my apartments. I love this space, it brings back memories of my 20's! Such a fun creative time for people
I really like the light fixture! Kim has so many unique pieces and art, displaying everything really gave this space a lot of her character! I love the dark grey wall and the art on it, and that rug you used! painting the window frames grey looked cool, I also pictured a wood stain or something and that would be nice too. amazing job Alexandra! and props to Chico (not sure if I spelled his name right) on that wood mood board!
Love the space but don’t love the light fixture. I would go for a more “see through” solution that didn’t cover the beautiful hanging plants... maybe a glass or smoked glass or even a loose knotted macrame would be quiet nice. Big hugs ❤️ Julia
I enjoyed this makeover. The lighting choice is definitely unique but I like it for that space. It definitely gives a lot of personality and adds texture in a relatively neutral space. You see pops of color here and there but it’s all cohesive! Great Job! And I know Kim loves her space because you managed to personalize it for her
My office was in my bedroom too. But I bought a nice stand up or sit down desk and it’s in my living room now. Getting it out of my bedroom made a huge impact fort me mentally!
If i saw the light in the store i probably wont like it, but it was perfect for the space, i was waiting for you to trim a bit loool i noticed you didn't mention the budget, maybe because people give such hard comments about it, but in the same time you utilized 90% of what they had, and that's awesome. This is a great inspiration
Love the texture the light brought into the wood! Think it tied in well with the wood detailing on the accent wall too. Brought a bit of a boho vibe to a room that could otherwise come across as a bit cold without the plants and other homey touches like that!
The room looks so amazing. Clean, sharp, sophisticated, but homey as well. Love it. I don’t care for the light fixture but if she is happy, that’s all that is important. All in all, beautiful!! 💜💜
I love that you used her old furniture and gave it a new place. A lot of times people throw away their old stuff, while it’s still lovely.
I would love to see how the bedroom looks like now.
Me too!
@@toriam15 I thought that we will be have two space makeover!!!
Me too!!!
Yes yes! We need that bedroom makeover too at Alexandra’s original channel!
So many people want to see the bedroom! Maybe when I can start shooting makeovers again! This is such a good idea!
I don't love the light fixture, personally, but I like the idea of a more textural light in this design. It adds interest but is still neutral.
I love that you went in yout clients home, heard her problems and truly found a solution that works for everyone who uses the space! You're amazing.
Thanks Ash!
100% agree!
I like it, I just don't know how tall Alexandra is, but it seems just a bit big for the space. I like it though.
It's nice, but I don't feel it's for this space, it's to big and it hides the nice plants.

@@justinelandis-hanley6963 lol, thank you for this. that makes so much sense. and yes very much still wanna see the bedroom 😂
I love this light fixture ... just not in this room ... it blocks view of the beautiful back wall.
Yeah i agreed with you. The back wall should be the highlight
This is exactly what I thought.
I love the lamp - this is a space for creatives, not corporate/banker/lawyer types (or maybe it should be). Very nice space.
Love the light fixture is so avant-garde not your typical basic & standard look gives the area personality and uniqueness the straws gives me a beachy a cabana look
I really liked the end result. Trimming the hanging lamp shade made all the difference - I can't say I love it, but I did think it added texture to the space.
Woooow the most low budget but really big impact makeover. What a rearrangement... Everything flows much better... And it is much more useful
Yay, so glad you enjoyed Sara!
Make My Space Work 🥰 Always
What a compliment, thank you for the lovely note!

I didn’t like the light fixture at first, but the more times I saw it the more it grew on me. I have to say, I’m a fan.
One of my favorite makeovers you have ever done! I love the funky light and the dark masculine colors mixed with feminine. Exactly how I decorate too. Great job!

Thanks Zoe!
This is my favourite make my space work so far.
I was unsure about the ceiling light fixture at first, but above the desk, it works, because in that way, it doesn't obstruct movement or view.
As long as Kim likes the light fixture no one else's opinion matters, but I have to be honest and say I am not a fan.
I love the light fixture--especially when I work at night!! Super cozy vibes. Thank you again Alexandra, we love it so much.
Kim Kirton that's awesome! I would have to give a light fixture like that a name. Haha
When I first saw the light fixture I didn't like it but at the reveal it looked much better.
How about "It"? For Cousin Itt from The Addams Family show?
Me either, I'm not a fan too.
Fantastic! Beautiful and so functional. I love the windows. They now look like art!
I LOVE this space. I love the charcoal, the rug, the grassy light. It’s wonderful. Thanks for the refreshing videos, Alexandra.
i LOVE that light fixture. It brought in a lot of personality
One of the best Space fix! Excellent work Alexandra!
The windows look so good!!! I love makeovers of tiny spaces. Also off-topic, damn girl that skirt is so cute
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! My living room is literally my bedroom/office! This is inspirational thank you!
Go with it!
That was a great makeover! Now about the light, I really like it...it just covers the plants a bit, but gives a tropical fun vibe!
I was about to be worried abut the light fixture over heating and you immediately said how to deal with that. This looks great!!
I actually like the lamp in this space. It’s funky and weird but it really works
Great job! It’s basically such a nasty room - it looks like some cheaply- built extension - and this has transformed it. I like the light fixture too! I think it works for the office of an artistic and creative person like Kim.
You knocked it out of the park! I love the dark wall, leather chair, light fixture combo!
This looks amazing! This might be one of my favorite makeovers you have done. The color combo in the office area is so rich and sophisticated.
I love the consistency of the grey throughout the room. It really makes the architectural interest pop!
Hard no on the lamp, otherwise, it's a great room. Very stylish. I would love to work in there
I love love it and the owner just came on and said she loved it, whitch is what really matters
I knew it was going to be a hit or miss!! I think it's fun and different and glad Kim thinks so too!
LOVE IT! Kim is so deserving of this, I look forward to the amazing things she’ll create out of this space 😍
Oh no, I can’t believe so many people dislike the light fixture! I absolutely LOVE it. It has serious Tulum vibes. You did an amazing job!!
I love this room. The charcoal wall works and I love the light fixture. Great makeover.
I rally like the light. It added an edgy vibe!!!
This room for an office made so much more sense than her tiny bedroom. Nice work.
Love the light fixture❤️ It definitely warmed the space with its natural element and texture! Great find!
Wow! This makeover is really beautiful Alexandra 😍 Love how you really brought that space together.
I really like the light fixture! It’s just so different.
I really love how you fixed so many issues with the space and made it look totally different. The blind for the bathroom window is perfect as is the mood board covering the hideous electrical panel. 💖 so fun to watch. The light offered color, texture and a very unexpected element. You’re very talented- this is not news ! Lol
I love how you reuse her own things instead of buying new. It turned out so beautiful!
Aside from the light fixture, everything else about this room is just brilliant. I can't believe how well the space was utilised, especially the actual office space and where the desk was put a I would have never thought about putting it there..... it all looked incredible and so professional yet stylish.
Looks very good! Loved how you did so much with so little and how you can make decor, that I would say is childish, work perfectly!
I love the outcome!! I was not a fan of the ceiling light, until I saw the room as a whole! I think I would trim it just a bit more...well done!!
I really love the dark wall and the shelf with a few arty objects on top. It's right out of a magazine!!
I actually like the light! It’s “light” and airy and acts as a bit of a statement piece that suits the space! I probably would have chosen a rhipsalis or string of pearls for the hanging plants though as they are a brighter green and would have contrasted with the wall nicer😍
This was such a great transformation of such a small space! Furniture placement makes such a big difference! I love it!
Love love LOVE this one! And funny enough, the picture is what stuck in my head from the behind the scenes so darn good call!
You’ve gotten so much better with each video, it’s such a joy to watch you work ❤️❤️
Comfortable, functional, beautiful. Excellent work!
I just wanted to say thanks for working so hard and posting so many videos, you and your fellow youtubers are truly one of the few things keeping me sane through this.
I love how much you reuse what she already has.
You girl are a natural!!! You just so smoothly and sweatlessly transform a place in such a big way that it is amazing!!! 👌👌👌👌👏👏👏👏💕💕💕💕
As you predicted, the light is a polarizing force. It's not my fave but I think you worked well with repurposing the items in her room. Great job.
Sooooo beautiful! Love the solutions you give!
SERIOUSLY BEAUTIFUL

This was her best makeover yet!
I love how this makeover turned out. The entire space looks beautiful, and I am so here for all of Alexandra's funky light fixture finds!
Please let’s see her room next! This makeover was amazing
I really liked this make over....the mood board idea was epic!
One of the best makeovers I've ever seen!
