Aliya Ramaraya head was taken to Ahmednagar fort by nizamshah , and kept as drainage outlet of the fort for many years .insulting and desecrating his remains. (As written by Feristha)
He beheaded nizam shah's general jahangir khan when he visited hampi as guest only bcz nizam mistakenly bought jahangir (bidar sultan's general ) as safety to hampi.. Nizam pleaded not to kill jahangir instead he can kill anyone in his army but rama raya does not listen and also he make nizam eat out of his hands infront of all, raiding looting villages, using their mosque to rest the horses etc etc this man (rama)had done almost everything which the empire was not built for.. Nizam hated him to the core

I read the vijayanagara charitra written by nuthalapati perraju while at school in the library and was fascinated. Awed by the movie mahamantri timmarasu too.. now equally fascinated knowing facts through the inscriptions.. laudable effort anveshi channel.. thank you kadapa raghottama rao garu

First of all, Nehru wasn't a historian & whatever he wrote in The Discovery of India can be taken with a pinch of salt. He never cared to provide any references. The whole book is nothing but his fancy secular tale in the name of Indian history.
