First time watching you. You seem to be passionate about making these videos. I hope you're finding fulfillment from making these, you are really a pleasure to watch.
So, I got this $1399 deal on Black Friday directly from Dell, but with a few differences: CPU is the 12core AMD, display is 240Hz, and the by-key RGB keyboard. Yea, only 16GB RAM... and the 64GB super fast RAM will arrive before the laptop, and the old laptop has a 1TB NVMe 4th Gen PCIe in waiting. I actually got 5600MT/s CL40 RAM, and I will have to experiment with tightening up the timing at the maximum 4800MT/s speed the laptop supports. Or it works out the box - I'm excited to find out!
The word “affordable” is slowly losing its meaning, I like laptop guides because it seems like a gaming laptop in this economy makes more sense than a gaming pc
Now this is a great video for those whom are looking for an upscaled laptop. Most do not know what specs are involved when it comes to laptops and showing them this video will certainly make them a smarter shopper. Good on ya, Robey M8, for making this educational video.

I have had it since day one, I really love it. Fans are super quiet, and temps are always under 80C but its the I9 with the rtx 4080 and 32gb ram for 2,700 not bad I think
Hi bro ... I am planning to get m16 with i7-13700hx - 16 ram - 1Tb SSD - 4070 - win 11 home can you give me feedback on your laptop, I am planing to use it for video editing and design
@hsseinnajjar9050 Great laptop I haven't had any issue at all. As I said, it runs quietly and efficiently, screen it's ok, keyboard it's nice and wide, just enough ports, a lot of people complain about the side fan that aims straight to any external mouse and blows hot air, well I haven't had that problem at all, something to mention battery life probably it's the worst I ever seen in my life, anything besides light web browsing will give you 1 hour of battery life, but in my case it's not a problem since I always use it plugged in. Screen brightness is not the best, but again, for interior usage, it's just fine, I don't see anyone video editing or gaming under the straight sunlight. They updated the command center, and now it's usable. The chassis it's a nice entry-level premium laptop, well built and solid, and it's super easy to upgrade it took me less than 5 minutes to upgrade the SSD to a total of 10 TB and the ram to 32 gb. I remember watching this laptop on sale a couple of months ago for 1,999 for me that would be a no-brainer cause I paid 2,700. Gaming experience is beautiful until today, I haven't seen a video game that the laptop struggles to run. All my games run at QHD 100+ fps without frame generation or dlss 3.
I'm wondering how much of a fingerprint magnet this laptop is, is the chassis rubberized? I have an r5 laptop and it gets messy so easily because of all the rubber
Great video. I’m glad I went to the store to check this out because I was sadly disappointed in the display’s brightness levels compared to other laptops around it. That alone was enough to deter me from grabbing one.
I’m keeping myself on the Dell path. Looking to upgrade from a Dell G7 1050 Ti to the Alienware 4070, is it a good idea? I will be using it for render, CAD and BIM mainly P.s. Personally, it seems amazing in the inside and looks great in the outside
Good deal on Dell right now if you have 10% code plus rakuten 10% on laptops. Problem is the M16 with AMD Ryzen 9 can only be matched to Nvidia gpu as the AMD radeon is temp out of stock. Will that combo still be ok? 2nd for the same price I can get a refurbished X16 instead with i9 and 4070 gpu. Laptop will be be used for both work and gaming.
screen bleed, stutters, freezing, bsod... I have this exact same laptop I want to like it so bad as my dream computer when I was a kid was alienware gaming performance is great. But man, I never had any headaches with laptops, except this one.. you'll see.. Try it then if you see these problems I would suggest getting a different one.

@@hsseinnajjar9050so... did you end up getting your laptop? I'm ngl i just bought one 💀 and it's in production right now and will be shipped in 17 days and counting now. The leveno legion pro 7i which would have costed me an extra 1.2k would have taken 2 months to reach me.. the AMD version of the legion 7 pro would have had the exact same specs of the alienware m16 except it had a 4090 with 16gbs of vram for 1.2k more. I'd be paying over an extra thousand dollars for 4gbs of extra vram. For reference I paid 2.3k for the m16 with modest upgrades, I personally will never need to upgrade but my only concern is the heat but idgaf about graphics and running 4k. I just need the hardware powerful enough for game development tools AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX, 32gbs of ram, 4080 with 12gbs of vram, 2×1 tbs ssds NVMes, and also win 11 home but only bc that's cheap to upgrade if I need pro
The last alienware i bought was 2 years ago. After 10 min of any game it was too hot for my lap. Customer support said working as intended. Battery has been so fried it will not hold a charge, has to be plugged in at all times. Will not buy Alienware again.
Certain laptops are not really laptops and that’s why guides like this are important. They are meant to be desktop alternatives and not really made for lap use.
buy a pad for it. i picked one up at best buy for when im using it in my truck. its got fans in the pad and keeps it from getting toasty on your lap. but yeah the battery is pretty bad, i know my partners asus rog zephyrus can actually shut off the gpu to conserve battery life during regular web browsing and stuff. alienware does not have this. apparently that feature negatively affects performance tho.
i bought the 4070 model, open box while on sale so i got it for about 1200. My partner ended up going with the rog zephyrus, same specs but it was on sale when he was in the market. I think we are both slightly jealous of each other's computers! I honestly think i prefer his over mine and vice versa. Would you recommend the asus rog zephyrus over the alienware?
i will add that i'd like to be able to use mine as a laptop when needed, he's much more focused on using his solely for gaming. Maybe we should swap computers :P
I got my this same laptop yesterday and I played COD warzone on it today. The graphic and gaming experience is awesome but it makes a lot of noise and heat.
I had a Alienware m laptop with a 2070 ti. Gave it to my dad. It still runs good but runs hot and battery only last like a hour so had to be plugged in. Just get a custom desktop if you want to game
I’m getting 235-240fps with mine on 1440p/ 1600p and directx 12, graphics low-to-medium and view distance epic. My M16 has the same specs as yours. I upgraded to 32gb ram and uninstalled unnecessary programs, disabled majority of start-up apps.
@@Assassin_610 I'd suggest downloading revouninstaller, the free version. While it might be better to upgrade your ram to 32GB, try out uninstalling unneeded programs first and see if it fixes your FPS issue.

Honestly i owned this laptop for a week and what a let down it was. Cpu burned up within a week with the intel ultra 7 cpu. Fans broke and support said nothing they could do to fix it.
Excellent all the way through but when you say it can't push 4k performance that's a little BS that needs to be spoken about. I have a choked down 3060 in a Zephyrus that can do majority of my games at 4k comfortably. The 4070 even more so. Hell the 1080Ti from 6 years ago still rocks that I have in the desktop. Giving an absolute is rough information
This configuration makes little sense. M16 has a big chassis with pretty good cooling solution and I think it's more ideal for an RTX 4080 graphics card at least, which is a major upgrade from RTX 4070
I like your content, but I'd love to see something more like informative you should show more graph with comparison to other laptops something like Jarraud tech

I picked up the M16 with 13700hx and 4070 for $1200usd on clearance. An absolute steal.

If i can get for 900 is that a good deal
i missed the part where you talk about the laptop.
