This is terrific! No bs, no hocus pocus, just the straight scoop. I hope you do tablets next. I’m retired and all I need is space for audio books, UA-cam, newspapers and more information than I’ve got time to absorb. Keep it up you’re doing the Lord’s work!!!🎉
I have only ever owned an iPad and Samsung tablet but would recommend getting a Samsung due to affordability, screen technology, ease-of-use and speakers (I own a Samsung S7 tablet). Since I also have a Samsung phone (bought one this year) I also noticed that they both sync really lovely. With all of that said I believe you could probably buy almost any tablet on the market today and have a nice experience. Just compare the screens, speakers and battery life since those will be your main factors when deciding.
I forgot to mention that Samsung also include a pen with their tablets which is actually really neat. I use mine daily but thought I'd never, or very rarely, use it. I use it for notetaking, sketching, watching movies (sometimes using your hands is not precise enough) or when I'm typing (like right now).
“Welcome to the overbuyers club” Never subbed so fast! Just love this whole video! Clean, easy to understand, captivating, informative, and oddly funny in the best kinda way.
Although this video didn't really provide new info to me, I stayed for the editing and just overall presentation. I sent it to my less tech literate parents and they used to info to buy a PC without my advice (and they made the correct decision in my opinion!). Great content, I like forward to watching more!
Great video. I want to add that one of the most high importance problems in laptops (either-render or gaming) are thermals. Bad thermal Management equals shorter laptop life and Thermal throttling. I think that you should analyze this thing in a separate video.
When I purchased my gaming PC, I had to do a lot of research to understand the things you were talking about. I really love your channel because it's educational.
@@Dredd2042 to be honest, i would also like to buy myself that laptop but i live in europe germany and it doesnt send it here wich is very sad because it really is a good device for gaming. Do you know any advice to that problem?
@galilelollel9658 I haven't had any problems with the Lenovo Legion brand. The best thing I would recommend is shopping around and researching. Just take your time because, eventually, these laptops and PC go on sale.
I cant tell you how helpful this was! I’m so happy to have this guide during a time when I’m in desperate need of a new laptop and I’m technologically incompetent. I might even watch your video again as I take a look in Best Buy tbh.
Your video is very accurate to the point. I feel it's been a long time since I have seen someone who accurately mentioned how to select a perfect laptop without sacrificing performance.
Wow! I’m blown away! With the help of a coworker in the mid 90’s, I learned how to build my own PC’s and load Windows operating systems on them. It wasn’t easy to do that back then. Now all you have to do is install the Operating System is load it in and everything is automatic. This video shows how much technology is advancing and how to use this knowledge to make a better choice to purchase a laptop. Thank you!
I have been in the industry since the 80s. I have never before found a reviewer that was as clear, distinct and thorough as you. The plastic thing on your face is horrible but does not affect the results. God bless. Thank You!

Before watching this, I pretty much new most nothing (except weight and physical dimensions) about all the different specifications within a particular model laptop. In just a few minutes after having watched this video, I was able to learn much more about the numerous technical specs. that I now feel more comfortable about what to look for and what to buy. Thanks Mysterious Tech!
I watched 2 hours or more of different videos and learned very little. I learned more on this video than the others combined. Also, the understanding of the piece parts naming conventions is huge. That and the reference web sights means I can use the data on this video for years and still get accurate up to date information. Well done, and thank you!
Thank you so much for making a video with visuals and making things straight to the point. I honestly wish more computer channels explained things just like you did!👍
this is a very detailed preference on how an editor chooses their laptop. Although, as a player, I wanted to add my preferences : 1) Air vents; Mine for example has only two small fans under victus 15 with fake vents, so I cant force more airflow on the other parts of laptop using external cooling pad compared to other laptops (tuf, nitro, etc.) 2) Usb ports; Having 2 usb ports on Victus 15 makes it limited to connect more devices at the same time. Though external usb port can be used, most of them delays my games transfer speed from external ssd. 3) Search for the laptops problem online; I've initially discovered the laptop hinge is wobbly and being hated for its fragility. though I hv np at it at all personally and depending on other laptops, there might be other issues with it. 4) Refresh rate; The higher the better, 144hz is good enough for most of the games (It is mentioned in the video but I would rather say its more important than ram and ssd since they're upgradable) 5) Ram and SSD this might be a bit tricky but its not a must to buy laptops with more capacity. you would cut more costs upgrading the laptop yourselves most of the time and get better value for money based on my experience.

Thank you mate. I had the SMALLEST amount of knowledge about pc/laptop components, and after watching this? My hero. You helped me decide which laptop to buy and now Im certain I'll enjoy everything it will provide me.
This is an excellent video, there's obviously a lot of points where you can say "that's not nessesarily true..." But if you want to teach this stuff to an absolute beginner, you'll have to glaze over a lot of details and just tell them the important stuff. As an example you can get high performance on battery, but it's not easy and it comes with a bucket of compromises. One key aspect that was skipped, and the only real critique I have of this video was figuring out how much power the user will actually need, and thus how low they can set their budget without compromising their UX. I can't even imagine how I would teach someone that though, it just takes a lot of experience with different PCs as well as knowing yourself and what programs you'll use to determine what's "enough" for you. If you can teach that, you might as well be the teacher of the decade
Can you help me decide?? I found a Lenovo Legion 5 17ACH6H 144Hz and don’t know if it’s worth it for 1,150$ Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 32GB RAM 2TB SSD Seller says “Works perfectly fine, selling it because i bought a desktop computer. Feel free to come and try it out 🙂” What should i do? Should i go for it?
I LOVE YOU!!!! I needed a labtop but didn't know a thing about it. Now you made me completely understand everything. I needed something for work, randering and playing a game that I like so much called Doomsday: Last survivors.
What made me like and subscribe was how you taught us the workflow of doing research on google and choosing a laptop. Thank you for that. Quality content!!
I chose the Razer Blade 15 (2022) for music production, it's on the little more expensive side of other laptops; meaning you can get a higher performance laptop for it's price- BUT - the Razer Blade 17 is more quiet, has a bigger screen, more I/O ports, and looks way better than most laptops at this price range, for that reason I chose to go with it, I sacrifice some performance but I get some bonus workflow. Also let me add that I bought it for a steal; 1450 USD. I would also strongly recommend looking at other laptops, that are just as cool looking and performance-powerful, with way less pricepoints. You may be getting minus 10% to 20% in performance, but you can save a huge amount of money! Goodluck! Amazing video.
What an extremely well made video for such a small channel. I don’t even want a laptop but watched this purely because it was informative and enjoyable, keep it up and you could definitely be a go to channel for new and old blood in the PC tech space.
I am so glad to have come across your video. I prefer using a laptop for gaming because of personal reasons. Your video taught me more than I could wish for and guide me next time I need to buy a new one. Thank you.

Can u put some light about ur career at gaming company. I am noob gamedev learning to become expert in the field but game development career seems too niche and hard to go into?
@@NoThing-ec9km I worked in the Customer Service part of the company, I can't help you with your request as we didn't develop any games. Only build PCs, recommending prebuilds and other :-) Good luck!
As a game dev, he kinda downplayed the importance of CPU on a gaming machine. If the game is very CPU-bound, a low performing CPU can reduce the FPS significantly
you can tell where the poster is from given the language displayed under the google search, and the spoken grammar. but most people will not look that closely.

Actually you have decoded for me all of the wierd things that i used to hear at any tech store! This was very useful and it helped me a lot.
Thank you so much and keep up the good work!
This man taught me so much that NONE of the videos I watched did but questions I've been asking. THANK YOU
That was a VERY CLEAR guide for someone who have a minimal idea or none for buying a laptop. Thank you for doing this video.
I know nothing about laptops and all that stuff… You did an incredible job
Those who watched this video without researching anything before, hear me!! This video is all you need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly everything in one video best summarizes way possible!!!
This is the most accurate brake down I ever saw in my life. Congratulations!
0% bullshit 0% promotions 100% knowledge thank you brother for solving my doubts
How to change my voice in a video like this?? For privacy
Just Get a good phone with big screen and you are set.

“Welcome to the overbuyers club” Never subbed so fast! Just love this whole video! Clean, easy to understand, captivating, informative, and oddly funny in the best kinda way.
I appreciate how you organized the parts and types of laptops by function. Might come back to this
Although this video didn't really provide new info to me, I stayed for the editing and just overall presentation. I sent it to my less tech literate parents and they used to info to buy a PC without my advice (and they made the correct decision in my opinion!).
Great content, I like forward to watching more!
Yeah I clicked out of curiosity to see if it would be one of "those" videos. Pleasantly surprised
I see, funny BC rn I planning to do the same with my mom she is planning to buy a laptop rn lol.
Hey i see. Ur an Indian. Can u suggest any windows laptop for coding and rendering? It would be great 😸
I'm so impressed by the quality of this video. Brilliant!
This is hands down the best video out there for laptops! brilliant job my dude!
I really love your channel because it's educational.
what did you buy?

@galilelollel9658 I haven't had any problems with the Lenovo Legion brand. The best thing I would recommend is shopping around and researching. Just take your time because, eventually, these laptops and PC go on sale.
Amazing! I am in IT and this is the most comprehensible video to choose a laptop
Wow...I need a laptop for editing, couldn't be more simple and direct. Thank You very much.
I cant tell you how helpful this was! I’m so happy to have this guide during a time when I’m in desperate need of a new laptop and I’m technologically incompetent. I might even watch your video again as I take a look in Best Buy tbh.
Wow, clear, precise, organized, informative.
You have a second calling as a trainer for individuals that create informative videos.
Thank you!

I love this. Never knew what the numbers after the process type meant until now. Very Educational n informational stuff right here, easy to understand
This is an amazing video. I love the scenario breakdown, and the fact that you slowly introduce complexity and details by saying 'we'll come to that later'. Thank you so much man 🙏
I already did the research and thought this video won't teach me anything new but it structured information in my head sooo well, thank you!
This guy is great ! Speech is clear and easily understood, no annoying music he’s articulate and to the point. … where have you been? I like that your content provides straight to the point info for the users that are not tech knowledgeable. Keep up the good work!
Finally, someone who addresses everything and explains it in great detail. Such an informative video.
I honestly wish more computer channels explained things just like you did!👍
Man, where is your "Before you buy a PC video" ? Your channel is literally empty apart from this one video.
Ai ai ai ai ai ai ai au
That still remains a mystery. Don't forget that this is THE MYSTERIOUS TECH
It's a limited time event
i also searching for that video 😅
Shut up and stop using literally.
this is a very detailed preference on how an editor chooses their laptop. Although, as a player, I wanted to add my preferences :
1) Air vents;
Mine for example has only two small fans under victus 15 with fake vents, so I cant force more airflow on the other parts of laptop using external cooling pad compared to other laptops (tuf, nitro, etc.)
2) Usb ports;
Having 2 usb ports on Victus 15 makes it limited to connect more devices at the same time. Though external usb port can be used, most of them delays my games transfer speed from external ssd.
3) Search for the laptops problem online;
I've initially discovered the laptop hinge is wobbly and being hated for its fragility. though I hv np at it at all personally and depending on other laptops, there might be other issues with it.
4) Refresh rate;
The higher the better, 144hz is good enough for most of the games
(It is mentioned in the video but I would rather say its more important than ram and ssd since they're upgradable)
5) Ram and SSD
this might be a bit tricky but its not a must to buy laptops with more capacity. you would cut more costs upgrading the laptop yourselves most of the time and get better value for money based on my experience.
I must say, this is the best video I have found on the internet for buying a laptop! It's been a while since I have been searching for a proper video to give me information on how to buy a best laptop which would suit me for my work, and I had found none uptil now. You're a very good teacher. I'm glad I found this. I'm in the market for a laptop, and the people in the store seem just to want to sell me what they have. I didn't know if they knew what they were talking about or not. I do now.
Wow, I was researching for a month on which laptop to buy and all those videos I came across were so detailed to the point it was hard for someone like me who don't understand it in depth to understand. This 16 mins video was all I need, thanks buddy👍

I have the Alienware x17 R2 with the RTX 3080ti, the i9-12900hk, and 32Gb of ram. I produced music, play games, and use software like Davinci Resolve and unreal engine. Considering the price, it definitely passes the line of diminishing returns but the good thing is that it’s a no compromise laptop able to handle whatever you throw at it.
How about thermals? Any problems there?
@@Πέτρος-μ3ω no it hits it’s thermal limit of 99 degrees on the cpu and hovers right under the thermal limit of 85 on the gpu. Laptops are designed to hit thermal limits so it isn’t worrying me. It doesn’t throttle it’s clock speeds back so it seems to be tuned well. Definitely isn’t comfortable to use on your lap tho. It’s more of a portable desktop replacer.

hes telling everyone to get NVIDIA which is just straight up wrong! They're anti consumer!
@Arjun44598 Let's not be children and fight 🙂 oki. He suggested Nvidia due to its Ray tracing capabilities, which have a big advantage over Amd cards.
P.S. Thank you for your reply.
@@nabeelali3207 No ray tracing is not an advantage. You don't know what you're talking about. Your general computing knowledge is minimal and I'm not going to waste my time training you.
@Arjun44598 Awww, some1 got triggered 🤭🤭🤭. Your whole argument is that NVIDIA is anti consumer, no computer knowledge needed to spot an idiot. AMD is a better value for money, making it suitable for gamers on a budget.

I found a Lenovo Legion 5 17ACH6H 144Hz and don’t know if it’s worth it for 1,150$
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
32GB RAM
2TB SSD
Seller says “Works perfectly fine, selling it because i bought a desktop computer.
Feel free to come and try it out 🙂”
What should i do? Should i go for it?
I LOVE YOU!!!! I needed a labtop but didn't know a thing about it. Now you made me completely understand everything. I needed something for work, randering and playing a game that I like so much called Doomsday: Last survivors.
what did you end up choosing?
What made me like and subscribe was how you taught us the workflow of doing research on google and choosing a laptop. Thank you for that. Quality content!!
This video is extremely well made and thought through. Thanks!
