I knew you’re going to rank the Gen 3 Starters as #1. Besides Sceptile being mono Grass, the designs of the final evolutions is just peak, even I can’t decide to pick a favorite Gen 3 starter to this day because how peak their designs are and well executed they have become. There’s nothing to dislike or hate on these starters because The designers really cooked.
It's not technically in this video but I love the Hisuian starter Trio. Hisuian Typhlosion and Hisuian Samurott are much better than the original and Hisuian Decidueye is not better but still super good it is just a little different than the original

Even though I like all the final evolutions for the Gen 9 Starters, I can accept the Quaquaval slander because I know it’s objectively the worst out of the three according to the community and polls as a whole. But what I can’t really accept is the Skeledirge slander. I think Skeledirge has a unique design and inspiration and isn’t some Krookodile rip off. I just think Skeledirge is neat. Even though Skeledirge is my favorite out of the three, I also really like Meowscarada. Even Pokémon wanted Meowscarada to be everyone’s #1 pick, there’s a popularity poll where Meowscarada is popular out of the three starters, it appeared in Paldean Winds, and its line is owned by the main protagonist in Pokémon Horizons. What’s not to love about Meowscarada?

Hoenn ✅ I went with the formulaic route & guessed that Kanto, Hoenn & Sinnoh would take the top 3 (in different orders) as that is what most ppl would do with their own list & was right about number 1 at least. I was surprised by the Kanto placement, sure, but I wasn't expecting to be that wildly inaccurate with Galar.
If I had to rank them: *Please note I really care about the grass starters and if I don’t care for the grass starters then the trio really takes a hit 9: Kalos, not a fan of any of the final evolutions(Please don’t roast me, I don’t hate Greninja), and Quilladin ruined it for me. 8: Sinnoh, probably my least favorite middle stage evolutions out of all the starters, I don’t particularly like inferape between fighting being one of my least favorite types, along with not really liking Torterra as much as I want to compared to Serperior. 7: I really do like the Galar starters I just don’t love them as much as some other designs. 6: Hoenn, I really like treeko’s line, and Torchic & Mudkips aren’t far behind I’ve just never gotten a chance to use any of them in a game playthrough yet. 5: Johto, it was the first of the series I watched and it’s one of the main things that got me into Pokemon. 4: Kanto, their designs aren’t super detailed like some newer designs but I don’t dislike any of the stages. 3: Unova, I love Snivy’s line so much! I think the final 3 can we swapped around with each other because they all have good lines. Also I’m basing this on all 3 starters and there evolutions, so while things like Cinderace are cool others starters drag it down.
Im surprised that Galar starters are on Top 3 in the your favorite starters Pokemon, because usually I see alot of people not liking them because of the humanoid in the final evolutions (Especially Inteleon and Cinderace) saying them in the list of the Pokemon Worst Starter (Is that what majority of peoples think about them), to be honest Cinderace is one of my favorite Pokemon that appear on Pokemon Journeys (Especially when they show a Goh Cinderace and Ash Lucario duo great moments) and the move Pyro Ball animation that he have on Pokemon Sword and Shield

Greninja is super cool, my third favorite pokemon) #3 Hoenn trio (All of them are really good designs, but I don’t like combusken, and hot take but Mudkip line is really mid) #2 Sinnoh trio (I like every design except prinplup) #1 Galar trio (I initially ranked this lower but now I’m not afraid to speak my mind. btw W ranking, if i'll be honest for me the alola and hoenn starters are swapped for me Ultra Sun was my first game and Primarina is my second fav water type because of that (behind mudkip) and decidueye and his hisuian forms are awesome, and incineroar in the anime is goated, both Kukui's and Ash, if it wasn't for me being allergic to cats I would have loved the Litten line even more
Honestly, I would have put the Gen 5 Starters last instead of Gen 9, just me though. I just literally have no attachment to any of the Gen 5 Starters in any shape or form at all maybe except Dewott. Emboar is just another same ingredient used for Blaziken and Infernape, Serperior is just uninteresting maybe due to its simple body plan and Samurott resembles a Sea Lion with a Sea Star body than an Otter, WHICH IS THE ANIMAL ITS SUPPOSED TO BE BASED ON!!!

I think the final 3 can we swapped around with each other because they all have good lines. Also I’m basing this on all 3 starters and there evolutions, so while things like Cinderace are cool others starters drag it down.

Im surprised that Galar starters are on Top 3 in the your favorite starters Pokemon, because usually I see alot of people not liking them because of the humanoid in the final evolutions (Especially Inteleon and Cinderace) saying them in the list of the Pokemon Worst Starter (Is that what majority of peoples think about them), to be honest Cinderace is one of my favorite Pokemon that appear on Pokemon Journeys (Especially when they show a Goh Cinderace and Ash Lucario duo great moments) and the move Pyro Ball animation that he have on Pokemon Sword and Shield

Gen 8 is my least favourite out of all Pokémon generations and I think the anime is a big part of the reason behind it too. Gen 5 is spot on however.

I’m not one to be hating on opinions but if anybody actually thinks that the Galar trio is the best then 😭😭. I think their evolutions are so underwhelming with how good the base forms are. Love ur opinion tho. My faves are probably Gen 6 cause I like the RPG inspiration.

Here’s how I would rank it:
#9: Unova trio (pignite exists and serperior line is mid)
#8: Johto trio (it’s just really basic designs)
#7: Paldea trio (quaxly got did dirty with its evos, the other two just aren’t my preference for a starter)
#6 Alola trio (there all solid, though I don’t like brionne and dartrix’s designs)
#5 Kanto Trio (the original trio and they all have incredible designs, though the final stages look like they have a hard time moving around with their oddly round shapes)
#4 Kalos trio(I really like all the designs except delphox’s ugly hair dress and quiladin looking like obese Pinocchio. Greninja is super cool, my third favorite pokemon)
#3 Hoenn trio (All of them are really good designs, but I don’t like combusken, and hot take but Mudkip line is really mid)
#2 Sinnoh trio (I like every design except prinplup)
#1 Galar trio (I initially ranked this lower but now I’m not afraid to speak my mind. I love each and everyone one of these designs, especially the Cinderace line, there’s a reason it’s my favorite pokemon of all time. Though I will admit intern has very weird proportions)

btw W ranking, if i'll be honest for me the alola and hoenn starters are swapped for me Ultra Sun was my first game and Primarina is my second fav water type because of that (behind mudkip) and decidueye and his hisuian forms are awesome, and incineroar in the anime is goated, both Kukui's and Ash, if it wasn't for me being allergic to cats I would have loved the Litten line even more

Honestly, I would have put the Gen 5 Starters last instead of Gen 9, just me though. I just literally have no attachment to any of the Gen 5 Starters in any shape or form at all maybe except Dewott. Emboar is just another same ingredient used for Blaziken and Infernape, Serperior is just uninteresting maybe due to its simple body plan and Samurott resembles a Sea Lion with a Sea Star body than an Otter, WHICH IS THE ANIMAL ITS SUPPOSED TO BE BASED ON!!!
