      I’d say I have to agree that none of these guns he mentioned are budget mined at all. So many of these UA-camrs get these guns that cost 2-3k given to them. Plus they have NVGs and suppressors. I may be wrong but who Carries a backpack with an H&K, or a sig mpx, etc. I’d prefer the practical videos rather than the 5 truck guns that all cost 2,000 or above.

    The most common truck gun is a 12 gauge shotgun or just a regular rifle. For the price of most of what you showed I could put both a rifle and shotgun in my vehicle and have a firearm for any possible situation instead of being so limited by a pcc or sbr. Also, most states don't allow anything other than a normal pistol to be carried in the passenger area of a vehicle and a number of states still require a conceal carry permit to even have that pistol within reach of the (licensed) occupants. So legally your truck gun 99% of the time would be in the trunk or at least not directly accessible while driving so the short barrel length for "maneuverability" is really never an issue. Most of the guns you show I would say are better hotel room guns than truck guns. Just my thoughts.

One less weapon to become proficient with, can be fired one handed if needed while you drive, and realisticly it will leave the car with you everywhere you go. Name 1 place you drive to where you dont leave the car, because any time you leave the car the "truck" gun will be left in there. Where I’m from, it’s a beater bolt gun in .243 or 30-06 for the most part. Honestly, my ideal truck gun is a BAR. Not a new one, a military one. I mean, 20 rounds of 30-06 with one squeeze? Can’t be beat. Never happen though

    My go to tractor/truck gun is a Ruger american ranch 5.56. I had a cheap sig 3x9 scope on it but just put a vortex viper pst on it since I had it laying around (at 26oz it ended up being too much heft for my ar's) so much for a cheap beater🤦‍♂️if I didn't already have the unused viper I definitely would have put a vortex tactical on it and been mighty happy. It's such a handy little rifle though that you don't worry about scratching I'd highly recommend one!

    If you're going with a pistol caliber, I am a huge advocate of the Flux Raider. Larger 9mm PCC's might be more fun to run, but for practicality and size it's hard if not impossible to beat Flux.

  • @keithav1

    The proven reliable Galil 8.3 pistol or SBR chambered in 7.62 or 5.45. Or the same in 13" barrel beats every one of your picks.
    PCC's are only for making it to your rifle caliber and anything pistol caliber shouldn't ever be your main gun unless it's for concealed carry.

    I’m pretty sure everyone is trying to forget about the 5.7 cartridge because it was only designed to penetrate the body armor of the day (Kevlar). However, I think it makes an amazing pcc for vehicle usage, where glass and metal are barriers to calculate.

    • @brianmccullough8493
      @brianmccullough8493 2 роки тому +1

      Also, I would like to add that the only way 5.7 is realistic is with a tungsten core and possibly +P…
      If you want a barrel to body show-stopper, get an ARP in 10mm or .45 with HP rounds. Just my opinion.

    • @AllThingsLoud_
      @AllThingsLoud_ Рік тому +2

      No one’s trying to forget it but the price of ammo makes it easily forgotten. For the price and performance a .300 blackout could fill it’s place and be more efficient.

    A test you need to do is the best barrel length for shooting inside a vehicle include a pistol and maybe some different ARs not every vehicle is the same and some don’t have as much space so pulling that 10.5” out might be harder that a 7.5”

    If you were going with a 9mm truck gun, would you: a.) want one with a longer barrel than a edc pistol and b.) want to consider one that can use the same mags? On the flip side, assuming you’re already packing a pistol caliber edc pistol, why wouldn’t you want 5.56 or 300 BO as your truck gun - if you have time to access it presumably the threat warrants it. Some of the guns on this list strike me more as a “backpack gun” vs “truck gun” as I figure a truck has more room than a vertex, but maybe that’s me…

    I love PCC's and agree that if STUFF gets Real, I want a Rifle. that said, I switch around with a CX4 Storm and a Glock 19 with an MCK. lights and optics on both.
    147 grain +P+ in the 16" barrel IS effective and "ON " target at 100 yards. Run 124 grain +P in the Glock. Hopefully, if I need more then a 100-125 yard gun, I will utilize the "TRUCK" to put some distance between the threat an myself .

    I'm a big Glock and SIG Sauer kinda guy and I really love the SIG Sauer products as I personally owned several myself, but my list would go as follows:
    #5 SIG Sauer MPX or a CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 pistol, on the CZ Scorpion, I would use a Magpul PMAG D-50 EV9 Drum with a folding pistol brace and a Vortex AMG UH-1 Gen II Holographic Sight! (Both of these firearms would go much higher on my list if they were able to use standard Glock pattern mags or SIG Sauer M17/P320 style mags!)
    #4 CMMG Banshee Mk17 9mm. Pistol with Rip-Brace, and a Vortex AMG UH-1 Gen II Holographic Sight to pair up with my SIG Sauer M17/P320 X5 Legion as they both share the same mags and ammo! Another option would be a CMMG Banshee MkG (.45 ACP) or MkGs (9mm.) to pair up with my CCW Glock 17/19/26 (9mm) or Glock 21/30 (.45 ACP). I would also equip Recover Tactical MG9 Angled Mag Pouch for the Glock 9mm. magazines or a MG45 Angled Mag Pouch for the Glock .45 ACP magazines!
    #3 KRISS Vector SDP-SB Pistol in either 9mm., or .45 ACP, suppressed, with a folding pistol brace and a Vortex AMG UH-1 Gen II Holographic Sight. To pair up with my CCW sidearm Glock 17/19/26 (9mm) or Glock 21/30 (.45 ACP). I would also equip Recover Tactical MG9 Angled Mag Pouch for the Glock 9mm. magazines or a MG45 Angled Mag Pouch for the Glock .45 ACP magazines!
    #2 Daniel Defense MK18 Pistol or a Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 P chambered in 5.56 NATO, with a folding "Law Tactical" brace, and a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6X24 LVPO Scope and a Magpul PMAG D-60 AR/M4 Gen M3 Drum magazine!
    #1 Sugar Weasel by "Q", SIG Sauer MCX Rattler or the Daniel Defense DDM4 PDW all chambered in .300 Blackout, suppressed of course, and adding a collapsable/folding pistol brace. and a Vortex AMG UH-1 Gen II Holographic Sight!
