Do this with the best
1. Carry pistol
2. Full size pistol
3. Tactical rifle
4. Hunting rifle
5. Shotgun
PLZ
Best is subjective. Is price a factor in this? Or is it "best bang for your buck"?
This is pointless because 1&2 can be the same and 3&4 could be the same. U can hunt with your ar15 and u can carry a full size pistol so
Seconded.
How about adding plinking hand and rifle.
Glock 26. Glock 17/45. BCM AR. Ruger m77 30-06. And a Beretta 1301
While I like Clint's ideas about the 22 revolver, I'd prefer a Ruger 10/22--like the others, plenty of after market support, cheap ammo, and I do love fried rabbit...
I like both lists. However I’ve got to go with Matt’s list. The Maverick, the Savage the Sig. Great choices and versatility.
I agree with Clint about the rifle you build. You get exactly what you want in a rifle, setup, caliber, and price. You can cosmetic seconds at a significant savings (Areo upper receiver) or if you have the patience, you can wait for the items to go on sale (did that with a Faxon barrel). Shop around and get that NiB bolt carrier group or that custom trigger you wanted.
So glad to see the CZ P10C get some love. I switched to it a few years back and was surprised why it didn't get more attention. The gun has great ergonomics and is easy to shoot. Great gun.
Yes I agree as I shoot it better than my built up from a frame Gen 3 G19 that ended up costing $1200. I shoot my CZ P-10’s way better, I have one completely stock C, a C Tactical with HB Industries trigger & Norsso Reptilian slide w/ RMR, & an F w/HB trigger cut for a 509T. All the Glocks I have I shoot low left as a righty.
I got the s. Best edc for a lefty imo!
@@azndude265i just bought an S a week ago or so. haven’t shot it yet but just dry firing it the trigger is insane
To add to that the Canik mete mc9 is less than $400 and can use any double stack 9mm Canik magazine you can use the 21 round Canik tp9 magazines in the mete mc9 for added capacity. I truly believe it’s one of the most underrated guns available today
Even with the reliability issues?
All manufacturers have had issues. There is no perfect anything
I’ve got about 500 rounds through mine and I haven’t had any reliability issues. Maybe some of the earlier stage ones? Guns are kinda like phones don’t rush out and get it right when they come out wait until after the bugs have been worked out of them and then buy. They Canik mete mc9 launched in 2020 I believe it’s been almost 4 years that they’ve been out and available I would think you’d be fine. As I said I haven’t had issues with mine
@@khtrucking6962 The MC9 Launched in March of this year. I have one of the earlier ones and some of the issues are present, although with more usage it's becoming much better. I have the replacement recoil spring and have polished the feedramp, along with leaving the slide locked back when stored and mags loaded to help with break-in. It's not 100% reliable yet, but it's getting there.
id argue the tp9 is a bit better. but besides canik the cz p10 series can’t be beat.
Mav 88 at Academy, right now. $229. Add the OPSol Flex adapter for $20. Allows you to fire minishells if you want, or your family wants. Regular Mossberg Shockwave $449 at Academy. Shockwave S (a redesign following the success of our OPSol Flex Adapter to shoot minis) is $549.
I'm really surprised the S&W Shield plus isn't on here. $415 for a micro 9 with standard night sights, optics cut, and tons of aftermarket and holster options. Only thing that sucks is lack of light rail.
But you can get light and laser kits for them. I have a combination kit on my Shield plus.
Ew
Considering shield plus performance center as my next purchase when i can afford it
Have heard nothing but great things about m&p shields
I just got one and love it so far. I was thinking about a P365 macro, but the price point was a deciding factor for me. For the same price as the P365 I was able to put a holosun on my Shield Plus.
This was an easy one. Matt’s list was definitely better! Maverick 88 and Zion 15 are two of my faves for the price!
Bought a maverick 88 for my 18th bday for $188.thousands of rounds and 20 years it’s still going like a tank.
Agreed. Just picked up my Maverick 88.
Love the top 5 videos, not sure if it has been done before but would love to see a top 5 but only one per category (top bolt action, top pistol, AR/AK, Battle Rifle, etc.), but make them all budget. That said, Matt wins.
The cz p10c is currently selling for under $400. I own 3 of them. They’re fantastic guns.
You can even find them sub $300 at a couple online vendors… At that price point there is honestly nothing to beat them IMO.
All CZ's are underrated, underpriced compared to any competitors.
@@EricFullwoodnot all are underpriced and underrated. Shadow 2 is easily one of the best handguns on the planet and not cheap either. But they make great guns. I will admit I'm a CZ fanboy
The entire p10 series are great. One of the best feeling striker triggers I've experienced.
It’s the best gun for the money today.
Matt's list is more focused at us "regular" users. We know and buy Mossberg (Maverick), the 365, IWI AR, etc. Clint's were great as well but probably a little more geared towards a gun enthusiast. Which is helpful for normal people who only know Glock, Sig, Colt, Savage, Ruger, etc. Matt would have 100% dominated if he had included the Rough Rider instead of one of his 9s ;) - Awesome video!
I own the CZ P10C and I live it. Great trigger, never fails and just feels so smooth when shooting.
It's great to see the top 5s back. I agree with Matt's list
Thanks for the video Classic team… 👍
You guys should do a top 5 fight video for pistol optics!
Agree with Mossberg Maverick, Savage bolt action and some other good ones; however, PSA AR/AK andTaurus G series 9 mm deserve consideration.
I agree with Clint for once. The best value gun is the AR platform that you customize to yourself. Either build one from scratch, or by a bare bones rifle from Anderson or Bear Creek.....Radical....Del ton...the list goes on. I work at a gun shop, so i got a bare bones Anderson for about 200 out the door. Change the trigger, furniture, and whatever else you want. Im into mine for about 700 now, with timney trigger, Spikes BCG, Warne mount with Vortex LPVO, and all new furniture. Of course thats my discounted price, but its being built to my likes. 😎
I like the rough rider but the diamond back side kick would be more practical and useful in my opinion, 9 shots with a swingout cylinder and a 22mag cylinder as well as being double/single action.
Yes a little more than the heritage.
I have to agree with Matt’s list overall, but Clint’s number two is my CCW so I gotta give him props there. I do agree that P365 and all its variation is a good all-around one gun for someone that just wants that one gun to do multiple things
Clint's choices were cool, but I like Matt's better because his are more practical. Besides, making the AR-15 his #1 lines up with my ideal.
I like Matt's picks for the variety, price of each and I'm a Sig P365 fan. Overall, i loved the banter and variety of firearms highlighted.
I run Olight Odins and the Rein 2 on my rifles. I have been looking at the HRT AWL for a future build.
I like a combination of both… I would have gone with a ruger 10/22 over the .22 revolver but the panzer M4 is pretty awesome for the cost.
Matt's list gives me more versatility with the addition of a bolt gun. It's ranged for over 250 yards of freedom and I can hunt with it. However Clint 4 is better. 22 anything is lethal and I can survive on small game with it and the revolver aspect allowed for reliability and carry.
Clint: I agree. My FR-15 or frankenrifle-15 that I built all custom, yeah. It's not easy and you might not have all the tools, but I know how to build ARs now. And that's a nice skill to have.
If both lists were in front of me and had to choose one to bring home, I would go with Clint’s list, had every thing you need, and a Barrett!!!!!
My first two gun purchases as a teenager in the 1960's and early '70's were my Remington 870 WingMaster 12 ga. and a Ruger Single Six. I'm down with your first two picks, at least in style of gun.
Ok, my third gun was a 1972 Remington 700 BDL in .270. Y'all do know your gun styles, even though your time frames and brands are off.
At 12:53, whenever this question pops up for high caliber guns, especially that CCW that he pulled out, I loved the response from the guy on the left.
I’m surprised the Ruger 10/22 wasn’t on anyone’s list (at least #5 I understand it’s more for fun and not very good at self defense maybe for small game hunting) the aftermarket support and customization of that rifle anyone can make it their own one of a kind gun
I think Matt had the better list but I may be a tad biased cause we literally bought a savage axis in 25.06 when me and my girlfriend moved in together.
Our combined in home is pretty much this
Glock 48 , mossberg 500c, Winchester sxp defender, two psa ar 15s(his&hers) savage axis 25.06 with an optic that came with it from the pawn shop (bloody steal) , and we got two foldy takedown guns for hiking with a 22 charger and a keltec sub2000 in 40s&w
Going with matt on this 1, Because I have 3 guns on his list, 88, savage axis 2, and 365. I do have a higher end AR then the iwi zion but its a good choice also.
With Age comes wisdom Matt’s list was Perfect !
What do you guys think of the Taurus G3 17rd? I know very little about guns and recently purchased it. Got it for $325 and so far it has been a nice budget handgun.
Such a great way to kick off the weekend! I like how Clint didn't constrain himself to ones that were on the lower-end of the price spectrum, but I have to say that I agree with Matt more, simply due to the practicality of his choices (though Clint's are clearly more fun). The customizability of the P365 is a great point.
I'm in the market for a full-size pistol (leaning towards the P226 Legion) so that might make for a good episode
I'd go the P229 or P227 just so you have caliber conversion options. If you're looking for a Sig. Glock 23 Gen 5s are amazing as well.
This was a fun video, very much enjoyed the listen.
Clint working on his best Clint Smith Impersonation
Great point on the 50 cal.
My list-
Maverick 88
Rock island M206
Ruger 10-22
Ruger American
Almost any glock
i like it
The Sig Sauer M400 Tread has ambi controls right around the $1000 price, however the aftermarket hand guards are necessary and they cost $140
PSA dagger, put an upper and lower together on separate sales for only $225 out the door. Hard to beat and shoots just like my Glock, which is to be expected given it’s a clone.
Gotta give it to Clint this time… The entire CZ P10 series is phenomenal, especially for the current prices you can find them at now. I know of 2 vendors with Sub-$300 P10C offerings. Throw a $100-$150 slide mill for an optic and you have a phenomenal CCW/HD pistol.
Where are they selling that low?
Clint's my man. The Heritage Rough Rider is the best value ever. Fun, fun, fun. Don't always need a firearm for self defense. Shooting for just fun is still OK. Great for teaching youngsters. Can use CB shorts or longs, colibri, 22LR, 22 shorts. Cheap and did I say fun... I might go with the slightly longer barrel for greater sight radius.
And remember you can change the cylinder for a 22 magnum, like 2 guns for one
BOTH lists are IMHO VERY GOOD! But being 71 I tend to agree juuuuust a little more with Matt's list.
For handguns, I have to give a big shoutout to the S&W M&P 2.0 Compact. It's available very affordably and is just an excellent gun all around. I honestly think it shoots better than my Sig M17.
Would be interested in a video for favorite guns to take to an indoor range.
The fact that the m&p 9 2.0 3.6” doesn’t get talked about more is crazy
Canik is my go to pistol love everything about them
I love my Gucci gats but y'all need to do individual budget videos but with their own categories as far as top budget handguns, top 5 budget rifles, top 5 budget shotguns.
Have the Canik TP9 SF. It's the base model. It is Great. Imo.
Best bang for your buck accessories? Sling, sights, holsters, lights, bean holders, etc.
I think you need to recheck them prices, the CZ P10C can be found NEW for sub $350, not 600
what is the shotgun that Clint has in his hands on the miniature?
I liked both lists, but the only firearms I have any experience with or own from either list are LE Glocks from Matt's honorable mention list. They are a great value. For me, I think Matt's list was the best. I really want a Panzer M4 though.
That mossberg 590 and IWI zion were my first thoughts too, both are complete packages and well worth the money
Clint your favorite firearms change as much as I change my underwear! Everyday! You were in love with the P365 Xmacro. Said it was the greatest concealed ever. Now look wasn’t even on your list. lol you guys should just name these types of videos to “Our top 5 favorite of the month.
Y'all gotta put these guns in their own categories.💯😎👍
Both are good list. But i see no Taurus pistols on them. I must say i have had 3 PTs over the years. A 92 then a 99 and now a 92 again. I have not had any trouble with any of them. I even have a G2c that is a great little shooter. Thanks for the video.
I like the Radical AR 15 full size and pistol version just as much as I like the IWI Zion 15.
Off the charts wow I wish your team would make a movie showing how your top 5 you to and the other 2 and shoot all the guns to show why you picked them. 💯 extra thumbs up.and put alot into it and charge $5:00 to watch what you put together.
I’m digging the mere mc9 and m4 the most. But would have went with the river over heritage, specifically the super wrangler!
What gun is on the wall right side second one down?
Tnw aero precision rifles are pretty cool with interchangeable barrels I like the 9mm and .45 acp
I was on Matt's list right until the Panzer M4 came up. I think that won it for Clint. I'm hesitating on one until James Reeves puts it through the Ringer..
Another tactical shotgun alternative is the Orthos XR-12 Standard 12 Gauge Semi Automatic Shotgun 19″ Barrel 3″ Chamber 5.
i believe matt has the better list, not saying clint doesnt have a good list. clint has a fun list and matts list is more functional. love the videos guys and keep it up!
very good top 5
Matt nailed it!
Lets be real about the CZ. I never saw it for $600. But at $600, it comes out of the box “go to war” ready. The fact that they recently dropped the MSRP to $399, now the Caniks are no longer the best buy. I purchased my P10c and P10sc (15round, 4.5 inch barrel) a frw months ago for $299 each. Now, the S, C and F are running $319-350 street price most places today. Add optics ready for an extra $50 if thats your brand of scotch. And the OR comes with OR sights. So its a beast for the money. However, I still carry one of my G3 19s though, because ….. my life may depend on it.
100% with Clint on his honorable mention (or at least the value proposition). 😏
That said, my list lines up more with Matt’s.
Value is good. TY
Value wise Matt's list wins, but as for fun, Clint crushed it! Thanks, guys!
The way I was screaming “EVERYTHING AT PSA”
Mossberg 88., Ruger p95, Ruger 10/22, Remington 770 and AK 47
I think the Radical firearms RF15 is a great choice as well.
I've heard that, historically, they had issues. But I've had one for two years this December, and it's been awesome.
@@deadpaddyoriordan8146 2,500 + rounds through mine, and absolutely no issues. Great rifles.
5. 12 gauge 870
4. Ruger 10/22
3. Bolt Action .30-06 or .308 Ruger M77 or Tikka T3X
2. Glock 19
1. BCM or IWI 16” 5.56
I built an AR for under $309 using PSA and bear creek. Also built a DB 300 black out 1:5 twist for under $400. All ambi controls. Building your own is by far he best value
I'm looking for ambi controls for my ar. What did you use?
I did lmt upper barrel and lower and aero for everything else plus a vortex venom optic for 250 and I'm 700 total into it.
the trigger on the p10 is excellent. got my p10f for 399
How's the trigger on the CZ?
What is the wood grain shotgun in the video pic? Thanks
I have to go partially with Clint but I would have to change out 3 out of 5 of them!🔥💧🌊
One of the best ar u can get for the price is the IWI Zion. I love my Zion, galil and Jericho. Big IWI fan. They make excellent products. Have over 5k rounds through my Zion and have had 0 hiccups. Great great option for an AR. Especially for the price.
id consider buying IWI if it wasn’t for the fact they manufacture weapons for a colonial ethnostate that’s on a genocide campaign against palestinians for simply existing and fighting back after 75 years of oppression
@@acid6urns 😆 OMG a you’re an all around grade A FOOL 😂
What are you thoughts on the spr??
Not long ago the CZ P10C's were going for 350$ with tax and that is unbeatable
You had a few pew pews on here that i love but i cant believe you didnt have the Ruger 10/22
Love the videos as usual. I hope you're doing alright Clint, I've noticed your voice has been pretty raspy lately in the vids.
Benelli Super Nova Tactical w/pistol grip. $400.00 and lifetime reliability. It cycles and shoots any range of buck shot or slug...Super easy to field strip also..
I think Clints out of touch 💀
Should do a best bang for your buck 5v5 but in category’s. Shotgun, carry, full size, AR, and bolt rifle.
What shot gun in on the wall left side second one down
It’s like Clint was trying really hard to loose this one. Congrats on the easy win Matt..
Just ordered this turknelli from PSA, hope its a good one :P
Honestly, I have no complaints with the scope that comes on the Axis for not much more than without
savage rifle awesome pick, i gotta say iwi zion ,no sir.lwrci before any but value ar15 wolf a1 piston upper, pistol fn reflex micro 9 ,internal hammer light slide chrome lined barrel, but freedom needs protection, nothing sings that song of freedom like a 50bmg anti material weapon, shotguns jts mk12 krinky with it, both lists together would make a duty ready merican
Be careful with the Panzer, the tube extensions dont fit. Have to swap out the entire mag tube to get the 7+1.
Top 5 Bolt, Barrell, and Bullet Button for you Build.
Sorry, but the Saint doesn't even bear mentioning - unless SA started using actual Mil-Spec uppers. Tried replacing the hand-guard on a Saint Victor, and the Mil-Spec anti-rotation tabs didn't match the undersized upper's width. Had to replace the whole upper just to change the handguard. Inexcusable in an over $1000 rifle.
Yeah I gotta give it to Matt on this one. His list was solid.
Marlin model 60 22lr
Cz 9mm
Mossberg shotgun of your choice
Budget AR-15
Savage Bolt gun.
Is a 50cal rifle useful without an optic?
Matt knocked it out of the park on this one!!!
What is the shotgun clint is holding in the thumbnail? The one always in the background with the gold bolt?
