She would not cause the ppl of tx millions in prosecuting this case. Her tears are about herself not the deceased. I have seen a lot of people commenting then he was upset because he realizes it could have been his apartment she walked into that day, but I don't think that what this is. It sounds like he only met the man one time face to face, but imagine part of your morning routine is leaving your apartment and hearing you neighbor singing. Day after day the voice is there. Then one day it's not.

Exactly, he remembered his neighbor singing for God in the morning everyday and then the first time he actually meets his neighbor, the same day he passes away and now his joyful singing will be never heard again.

However this country likes to focus on black on black crime like it is headline news. However, when a man sitting in his own home, watching tv and eating a bowl of ice cream, gets his home broken into by a police officer, unlawfully, no matter the race, while innocent is a thing to fear. And that fear is true for anyone, despite race. You should fear the same. The truth is, this whole concept of black on black crime, is a way to marginalize or make light of crimes period. How often in news media do you hear of white on white crime, Asian on Asian crime, or Hispanic on Hispanic crime? Very rarely. But this notion of black on black crime is a topic to report.... A's i'm watching this i know precisely what he is thinking! I'm thinking the same thing. Any day of the week, a white law enforcement officer could do the same thing to me in my home. He or she would have a very high probability of not being convicted. It would surprised me if she goes to prison like she deserves to. Let there be no mistake. If the officer happened to be black and the victim white, the office would certainly be headed to prison.

But as a white male, I can tell you I have had guns pulled on me by the police for simply taking a walk at 11PM, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, unlike this situation. I do think she needs to be tried and DOES need time behind bars, if not life, because I have never heard of someone who forgot which apartment they live in, not recognize they are in the wrong apartment based on things like decorations, belongings, smell (all of which I can tell my place from someone else), and then take the life of the owner of said apartment.
But I also have many friends who are police officers, and they absolutely HATE being associated with other who have bad intentions. You know? Just something to keep in mind that there are more good officers out there than bad, as hard as it is to believe sometimes.

The main reason I left the force was because I was tired of literally dodging bullets. What she did should never have happened, no matter what her excuses are. She should be punished for it.
