Unbelievable. SMH. She is negligent and instead of her taking responsibility and pleading, she is playing the "I was afraid of the big black man" card. You are a police officer, trained to be disciplined in high stress situations. Domestic violence victims have been sent to prison for killing/shooting their spouses even though there were confirmed records of abuse, all because they viewed the person with the gun as being in control of the situation. It did not matter how scared they were.
If she heard someone was inside of the apartment, she could back off, use her cell phone and call her lover the police officer she's having an affair, or call police for back up, that's no way she's going to win the case, she went inside of the man's place and killed him..

Why did she do this? Did she just feel like killing someone? There’s no way this is some case of oops wrong apartment.
So true
@Lindsey Stein, there’s a theory that this was some sort of sick police initiation.
There was a motive and we all need to hear it
Ms Margo is
This smells of revenge not a mistake. Hope she gets what's coming to her.
Aaaaand she didn't. Justice is not served. 10 years, probably 5. What a joke.
THE GAME IS RIGGED.
I feel so bad for this man.. it's so wrong and I just can't help but feel anger that he lost his life for nothing.. it's unfair
I gotta say something that I didn't hear in the comment section. I think the lawyer presented the case with class, style, truth, and vigor regardless of the outcome. It now lies in the conscience of the jurors.
She shot him in the heart and almost the head.
She's Dangerous
Someone please call 911. Tell them that I've been shot down, and the bullet's in my heart.
KillShot
That was a crime of Passion , plain and simple.
I wish they could have got in her Facebook it was pictures of them together
She knew exactly what she was doing, that's sickening she gets 10 years so that means she will be out in 2 years maybe probation...SMFH...Drug dealers get more time, she kills someone and gets 10 years ok.. privileged ...Just sickening SMH
Dead Before the door ever opened chilling🥶🥶
I can listen to this attorney close all day.
Most outstanding for the prosecutor that was awesome👏👏👏 he nail it.👏👏👏well done 👏👏👏
This hurts my heart. Botham deserves to be alive. 😟
And when the prosecuting attorney said all he has is that cardboard picture of Mr. Botham. 😭😭😭😭!!!
annetta jones that was it
They need to clone this prosecutor. Bar none the best I've seen in the last two decades.
Got snapchat M'lady?
Sir you did an awesome job in your closing statement and being that young man's voice.
She killed an unarmed man in his own home...
black man. don't acted suprised
He DESERVERS JUSTICE‼️🙏🙏🙏🙏
All I can say is, if this jury doesn't convict her, any uprising by the PEOPLE, not black people, ALL people is justified.
After this I don’t feel safe in my own home if a police officer can just walk in ur door An shoot an say I’m sorry An get by with it. She new what she was doing. I feel sorry for this young mans family I hope the jury sees the truth. She should have a life sentence she took his life.
Truly one of the best prosecutors I ever seen, from beginning to end, the prosecution did not skip a beat in presenting it's case.
Jesus, please help those jurors give justice where they would want justice for their own loved one.
Wow, he brought it, Truth. Dead man can’t speak, but the prosecutor spoke well for him, even an untrained person would not miss a red carpet. No self defense here, she had options and chose not to use them.
If I hear noise from inside my house when it's supposed to be empty, I would not enter.
Prosecuting attorney’s closing argument was cleaaaaaner than my Mama’s kitchen floors come Sunday morning!
Thank you Sir! Thank you for your service!!! ❤️
If I'm the family... ima sue the PD and the apartment complex.
Mr Defense lawyer, IT WASN'T HER APARTMENT!!!! Botham-Jean did NOTHING wrong, Guyer did EVERYTHING wrong, (before, during, and after the shooting) yet she is being painted (by her defense attorney) as some type of mistaken victim of robbery.
Amber felt the metal divider on her feet, but not the rug? Yea ok....
She shot that man in cold blood. Botham was watching his TV in his "safe" home.
I thought it happened recently. Wow. They had a year to work on Ambers case....They have nothing but her fake tears and “oh I was scared”
This loss really hurts my heart. My sympathies go to the family. I am so sorry. I hope justice is done.
Go head prosecutor. He knows he's stuff. Thank you so much.
BOTHAM was a sacrifice for these devils. Please don't let her get away with his death
If she heard someone was inside of the apartment, she could back off, use her cell phone and call her lover the police officer she's having an affair, or call police for back up, that's no way she's going to win the case, she went inside of the man's place and killed him..
Evil has many faces ...
Amber was to busy trying to get her some. No texting and walking. Pay attention!!!!!
Powerful words the prosecutor said
These attorneys are amazing!
This man did his job very well!!
The police tell people to not go in if your home has an intruder.
So she should be prosecuted for not following police rules.
No, for murdering an unarmed innocent man, when her life was not in danger.
Guilty verdict!! Now let's talk DEATH PENALTY
YES! LET'S!
I went into my place where I live and notice somethings moved I back out and close the door and went to my neighbors place and call the police.
A year ago I said this was bizarre and wrong. Much more to it then her entering the wrong apartment on the wrong floor. GUILTY. No other decision to be made except her sentence.
Perfect closing, "a 5 yr veteran kills and says opps my bad..."👏👏👏👏
What does the Most High require that the jury do justice in righteousness without bias.... And grant justice be done on behalf of the person that died....This woman is shedding crocodile tears "fake tears".. U can clearly see in her demeanor her intent for those that study psychology..... common sense says she killed him in cold blood.....
A clear message was sent today- we are tired of police killing innocent and unarmed black men in America, on top of all of the other injustices set upon us!
The message of this verdict is: People are entitled to be safe at home.
Beautifully said!!!!
It just boggles my mind that most people would've realized as soon as they opened t he door ..whoops wrong place and just laugh it off and say sorry ..right ..nope not amber she barges in and immediately puller her gun out and fired ..what in the world.. I can even see maybe not paying attention to the mat but come on lady... I question her overall ability as a police officer and she was accepted based on meeting a quota rather than her abilities.. she is a sicko
She would be court marshalled for messing with married man. Then put out of. Military
She wasn’t in the military?? She was a police officer
I love the fact that he approached her with some direct HEAT!🔥 His weapon is his words and there’s no silencer or filter.
He is amazing! I'm so sick and tired of these cops and their irrational fears.
If the key didn't fit, you must NOT acquit !
You're over 40 for sure!
She knew before she entered the apartment someone was in there! She said (LET ME IN)
If the door was open u wudnt have to say let me in . She told lie after lie
This is one of the best closing arguments i've ever heard.
When she saw that the door was open, she didn't know how many intruders were inside "the" apartment. That's why protocol, which is what she broke, is to fall back and call for back up. Obvious mistakes that she should have adhered to, One, on wrong floor. Two, door mat was different. Three, layout of door was different. Four, furniture was different. Five, she saw no weapon. Six, he didn't approach her, where here she was suppose to order suspect on the floor. Simply put, the obvious, it was devilish, racist, Dillon hated that killed those people praying in church in south Carolina, and she hated that black man living above her.
