  • Prosecutor Jason Fine began the state's closing arguments by reading something Guyger said during her testimony: "I never want anybody to have to go through or even imagine going through what I felt that night."
    "Are you kidding me?" he said, crumpling up the paper he was reading from. "That is garbage."
    He urged the jury to think from Jean's perspective -- for them to imagine coming home from a long day and sitting down with a bowl of ice cream.

      foreigner fan What is your rational? The evidence and as well as her admitting to killing that young man are what condemned her. Her neighbors when experiencing being in the wrong place did what reasonable people do sadly she did not. Her actions placed her in her current position.She now has time to look at things from the Mr. Jean’s and his family’s point of view. Her defense was attempting to turn centuries old castle doctrine on it’s head.The juror was correct in recognizing that error and holding her responsible for her actions.

      foreigner fan Under Texas law pertaining to self-defense the legislature accounts for the sanctity of life of all parties involved.Therefore a person must have two determining factors present before taking someone’s life is considered justified under the law.That is it must be IMMEDIATELY NECESSARY.According to Amber Guyger’s own testimony her actions on September 6, 2018 did not meet that burden.She had other alternatives before using deadly force on an unarmed man in his own residence.

      C. Blessing, MEEEEE! TOOO! I was so happy both prosecuting attorney's pointed that out to the Jurors. But I believe they picked up on her GAMING/MANIPULATIVE! and trying to deceive people with her no tear having behind; and she didn't win Oscar she wanted. Did you know there are seven black jurors and four white Jurors and for alternate jurors of color on the jury? My biggest concern is the white jurors being racist and can hang the jury (hung jury). If this happens the judge could declare a mistrial. But, the judge may direct them to deliberate further, usually no more than two or three times. In the event of a mistrial Amber guyger walks FREE 😠. I will be praying to God for Botham Jean's family, the African American community and all other communities who love Justice, to get Justice. This just hurts me deeply! When I think about this case, I think about all the other black men women and children who have been murdered by cops with NO JUSTICE!! For their families. My emotions are still raw! He DID NOT! have to die. She DID NOT HAVE TO MURDER HIM! Also, if the jurors deliberate for a long time that concerns me because I will believe that the whites are resisting Justice for botham's family because in my mind's eye and I believe 95% of the people's minds ISHE IS GUILTY!! But, we'll just have to wait and see.

If she's gonna use "Cop" training, she would have called for backup before even opening the door, and entering. The moment she realized someone was behind the door. So that throws that defense out the window. Most people, if they did crack open the door, would have said, "Hello, is somebody in there?" Then would have calmly apologized for opening the wrong door. The sad thing about society is, we truly have two sets of rules for blacks, whites, others. My son is 6'1 230 lbs and wears a full beard, 21 years old. I asked him to shave it while he went out on vacations because the world sees a threat. I see a lovable teddy bear, ready to enjoy life. But the thought some devil is waiting in the bush to take him out because of their own self projected fear, is the ultimate heart racing, panicking, gut wrenching fear a black mother will experience until this world is non existent

    I mean, just because you're a cop with a gun doesn't mean you're intelligent, or calm under pressure. It sure SHOULD be the case, but we all know it's not that way 100% of the time. I don't see Botham charging a little white woman in a threatening manner to provoke being shot. Was the door locked? If it was she wouldn't have knocked on her own door, certainly not. If it wasn't locked and she just walked in why couldn't she immediately tell just from the smell, and look of the place that it wasn't her apartment? Was she drinking? I don't know the details obviously, but...
    In My opinion. A Trigger happy low IQ cop kills someone with a panicked twitch reaction without properly assessing the situation....like at all, obviously. This happens all the time in America. This is just a strange case of it. It's murder 2. She drew her weapon, aimed, pulled the trigger, and shot to kill not wound. No warning shots? Again, Trigger happy.

    One thing that is being overlooked is the fact that Guyger new that she-had-a-gun! She new that she could use her gun for protection; in this case deadly force whenever she deemed necessary. Instead of looking up to view the apartment number to see if she was in the right place (like a reasonable apartment owner ) when she found that the door to the apartment was ajar she decided to go in with the equalizer (Her Gun) and began to shoot at silhouettes in the dark. Her actions were beyond unreasonable. The defense stated that data showed that many apartment occupants have walked in to the wrong apartment at some time or another. That said, anyone who lives in an apartment complex knows that there is the possibility that they could walk in to the wrong apartment at some time or another...reason to check before acting aggressively.

You referred to the woman as "She and her". Shows how you look at things. He has a name. He was also in HIS apartment. She was trespassing. She did not act in accordance to her training which is evident. Not to mention her family is a part of White nationalists. So it seems pretty obvious the way she thinks. Just like you. Racist people like you shouldn't be here. Botham Jean should be. End of story.

    • @brandona.3060
      @brandona.3060 4 роки тому +1

      @Jerry Snowe For her to claim self-defense under the Texas Castle Doctrine she would have to be in her OWN home. She was illegally trespassing in another person's home, gave illegal commands, and killed an innocent man who was ducking down in fear (the trajectory of the bullet wounds proves that he was at a lower level than her). The victim NEVER posed a deadly threat because he was unarmed and more than a dozen feet away from the armed intruder. Botham had the constitutional right of self-defense under the Texas Castle Doctrine not the immoral, irrational, low I.Q. home invader Amber Guyger. But in Texas she does have the badge and complexion for protection. So I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the jury members have the same perspective as you.

I'm telling you, it wouldn't be even half a second for me to realize this. It would be myself that I would be judging, not the other person. Like, "Whoah! I just walked into the wrong place. Sorry!"After she shot him, she did not render first aid to the man she just shot. Do you honestly expect me to believe that she still thought she was in her own apartment and he was the intruder? I'm not similar on this case but I pick a few facts from the case a little bit. The witnesses inside said, they heard nothing; just gunshot noise. No verbal exchange. All they heard is just the gunshot. One witness outside saw her pacing up and down the hallway and stairs before the gunshot. Of course she's up to something that's not good. One does not simply enter wrong room without asking any questions, "Am I in the wrong room?" Or said "Oh sorry. Wrong room." Don't use the "I had a long day from work and I'm tired" excuse or castle doctrine law. The castle doctrine is about home owner use deadly force for self defense, not the intruder. I want to say more but I believe this is good enough.

Now I find it suspicious that she claim she could see this figure moving around in the apt then the person come charging at her she shoots Gotham twice he goes down... Would you go in or still stay outside the door because if she really thought he was an intruder it could have been another person inside the apt hiding or what not. If she was that scared she would have fired he gun and took cover and called for back up... However, she knew he was harmless and felt comfortable enough to shoot and then walk inside that apt saw he was dead n came up with this masterful story on how it was an accident. This cop hates black men for sure!!! Lock her up for murder... That apt was long she had enough time to realize she was in the wrong apt.
