- Botham Jean's father Bertrum took the stand Wednesday to give emotional testimony during the punishment phase of Amber Guyger's trial.
This man raised his son . He was there . He loved his baby . Botham Jean was loved lord have mercy this family going through it
This is almost too much to bear. I feel so sorry for his family and friends.

This family, these amazing soul's are so dignified, so we'll spoken, educated, classy, sophisticated & just exactly what a FAMILY should be in every which way there is. Idk but this THIS should have never had happen & after witnessing THIS SHOULD NEVER EVER HAPPEN AGAIN. EVER. NOT ANYWHERE.

The Jean family is highly educated. Also consider the fact that they are Caribbean blacks (they are much more dignified, self-respecting, and have less sense of victim and entitlement mentality), NOT African-Americans.

This is just making me cry. Botham was definitely a very decent loving man, I would have loved to have been one of his friends, People like him don’t come along very often.

It’s something seeing the moments of reflections, moments of joy and pride against moments of “court order”, submitting pictures and such. This is truly a sad occasion. I wish all affected by this peace and comfort.

It was clear who's family was trash in this trial. I'm so used to seeing a victim's mugshot being shown in papers, like they deserved what happened. I just wish she had received more time.

I just testified in court, during the trial of the careless, intoxicated driver that took my dad, my best friend. So this is tough to watch. As a career firefighter, I was always on the other side of these tragic events, but now I see clearly through the eyes of those left behind. I watched Bo’s brother’s testimony and I’m not sure if that young man changed Amber’s life with his stunning hug for her or not,.. but he sure changed mine. I feel like I just been in the presence of God’s messenger. I don’t mean to get over-dramatic or religious, but in the filthy, politically-driven world we live in, we’ve all forgotten some core values. The selfless brother of Bo, just reminded us and showed more character than I’ve ever witnessed. Thank you and bless you and your family.

@A Warrior If he conducts himself with dignity like Botham Jean's family, he would not die. This whole mess is not about race. The Jean family never alluded to this being about race. It's about an irresponsible police officer and a corrupted police department.
A Warrior I’m thinking the same because they(Botham and his family) were the prime example of peace seekers so to know that he died makes this situation even that more egregious. The officer was in the wrong any way you turn it. If anyone would be expected to live a long healthy life it would’ve been Botham based on his habits and life. But, you never can tell who will mistake your apartment for someone else’s(and have their mind on something far from reality), I suppose.
We must continue to pray for this family. They need our support. Wish I knew how to send a card of support. They have to feel & know they are not alone.

I just want to tell you that we are not all like this and as I watch this video I am crying for this father and this family because this is such a tragedy and should have never happened. I personally don’t think ten years is enough. It’s a disgrace. Unfortunately this probably won’t be the last story we hear.

I really had so much anger toward Amber Guyger but things changed when I saw the video of Botham’s little brother hugging Amber. I said to myself this is the strength of that family ..... FORGIVENESS. I never ever want to experience this type of tragedy on a personal level because I just don’t think I could be the example as this family has been. It made me so proud of his little brother being that mature and I believe was was 💯 percent sincere. I pray that one day Amber will come to terms with what she has done and when she gets out of jail make a difference.
