I'm from Kerala and Parasurama has nothing to do with Kalari. My great great grandfather was a Kalari guru and they are traditional Buddhists. Kalari is a Buddhist martial art. Don't invade our culture with your Brahmins just like how you Aryans invaded our Buddhist temples in Kerala and converted them, then called every Buddhist as lower caste and expelled them from temples.

This is south India, Tamil Nadu. Hinduism is a child of Saivam. Tamil Nadu Muslims are Tamils that converted from Hinduism to Muslims because of caste based crimes in Tamil Nadu and racism because of caste and that's because Hinduism says a person is superior and inferior by birth.

The name "Hindu pushup" was given by the west as they saw Indians in akhadas practice them, the akhadas were mostly of Hindus and was seen as a place of worship rather than just a place of workout.
That could be a strong reason they named it the "Hindu Pushup".
