- After a lot of driving around I head back out to Anza Borrego to finally hike some trails there. While at my first camp site I looked ahead and thought it would be awesome to be on top of the mountain in front of me. The next day I was there!! That's how I envisioned my time traveling.

Great Job Jay, Just got back from Packwood 67 yr old bd hike , 45 lbs , 5 miles took me 2 hrs . 30 Years ago this is where I hurt my back so first trip since then.
Don't you just love it when the trail turns into a vast of nothing. Reminds me of "the pinnacles" trail by lake arrowhead. Dead reckoning comes in handy. Cool video.
Your opening cactus and closing meadow bloom shots were gorgeous, lovely time there in the bloom. Visually stimulating . Good luck trying to run away alive on that mountain if you see your Ghost. Very pretty.
Good man Jay😎
Wow you are really paying it forward being a long distance trail angel. Great video again.
Yep! It was actually hard finding hikers to give rides. I found more later though.
That's awesome you've been hauling hikers around, especially driving into LA traffic. Thank you for the level of detail you share of your hikes!
I have only one seat so I try as much as I can.
Incredible video. I enjoy your journey very much. I appreciate your wonderful upbeat attitude. The cactus are stunning.
Thanks, Gayle. Some of these plants make it easy to take good pictures.
Love the awning!!!
Thanks! My tarp is way too big! I thought I needed it that big but it seemed to work well folded in half so that's how I'll go from now on. Maybe get one half size. We'll see.
Jay Wanders Out as a trail angel! 😇 What a cool thing you did for that hiker. I can't see that stain on your shirt but I noticed that you are really tan! Happy adventuring! 🌺
Getting very dark! My fingernails don't tan so I'm getting that weird super light nails look. I'm white as can be under this shirt though!
Pretty fun hike navigating that “trail”, haha. Good times.
I'm really liking the off trail hiking. I kind of miss it these days.
I heard that bird before. He was outside my ten singing at 4am. He's a happy little bird.
If you lived out in the Ghost Mountain area the peace and stillness would either turn you into a hermit or drive you mad. Thanks for sharing this unique part of our country.
Have you tried heavy gaiters to protect your legs from stickers? You could wear them with shorts.
Nyah, I'm happy with my battle scars. One stick out of some of the thickest thorny brush yet is pretty good! I swore I should have gotten more. I think I've learned how to overcome that challenge but mosquitoes will be here in no time.
and bees 😬
You need to do a video on your camera equipment that would be cool 😎
I definitely need to work with them in more unique ways so I can do a more thorough review. Someday.
You look very clean today
Once a week or so I look and probably smell clean. 😀
Jay, there is a home film from one of his children on UA-cam! Did you see it? It's from "peahix" 1947 8mm Film Ghost Mountain
I did not see but it would be fascinating. Life up there must have been tough!! I can't imagine.

What was this recorded.
I'm in Tucson hiking Mt lemmon to tomorrow heading for Zion, are going to be in that area in the next five days. Should be there Monday
It was recorded about 3 weeks ago. I'm up by Wrightwood now.
Helpful hint #1: Get some neutral density filters for the Osmo and you will get much better color and your hightlights won't get blown out. Speaking from experience : (
Yep, got some since then but I sometimes use it when I shouldn't and forget them when I should use them. Oh well. I'm still learning.
