I still feel using the Ronin suit as a basis you could make a more classic inspired outfit that worked. Obviously never 100% but you could get something recognisable and distinct that looked good.
We already have a Scorpion cast -- Vaas from Far Cry 3. They'll probably won't give him a big bright green body suit as the actor is short, so they'll probably stick him in a big CGI robot body.

They isn't even an argument for them being more practical because they're so restrictive they can't even jump over a ledge. Black is fine as a primary color though. Also I don't even get why Wolverine couldn't at least be sleeveless like Collosus was.

Isn't it weird though that Peter Parker is meant to be a teenager and yet he has an aunt that looks like she's in her 70s? Doesn't it make more sense that she's a woman in her 40s/50s?
Uncle Ben is Richard Parker's brother and Aunt May isn't related to the Parkers (obviously). For the sake of argument, let's say when Peter Parker was 17 Uncle Ben and Aunt May were both 75. That puts them at 58 years old when Peter was born. It's not unheard of for parents to have more children much later in life, even after their first child becomes an adult. So if Ben's parents had him when they were young and then had Richard 15-20 years later, that puts Richard at about 38-43 years old when Peter was born. That might be older than one would expect, but it's also not that uncommon for couples to wait many years before deciding to have kids. It's also entirely possible that Richard was about the same age as Ben and simply married someone young enough to have kids with. So while a teenager having a 70+ year old aunt may not be the norm, it's not really that crazy or unrealistic. Especially when the grandson of the 10th U.S. president only just died last year.
@@jd1800 yeah dude, I know it's physically possible. It's still weird and not something you'd expect. The story's just much more natural with her being middle aged

@Latest Obsession they do that because they are lazy and don’t bother to make the classic costumes actually look good so they make them look like cheap Halloween costumes and then make fun of them. It’s stupid how they make fun of the iconic source material.
@Latest Obsession I don’t think so. Most of the mcu is based on the 616. Most of the avengers stuff is based on the ultimate comics. Classic costumes are partical. People wear them in real life. Christopher Reeves wore spandex and looked great. Spandex and neon colors do work. You see them in most media right now.
Thor's and Hawkeye's costumes were very close to their Ultimate universe looks, which is pretty accurate. Namor's latest redesign in the comics is actually pretty sexy and I'd love to see it in the new BP movie
Hawkeye's getup in the comic was very justified, as he learned his abilities as a circus worker rather than as a SHIELD agent (this also explains why all his weapons were the nonlethal kind - as a performer, he wasn't supposed to stab his audience by mistake).
Definitely want to see an accurate wolverine costume one day I know it’s a little cheese like Hawkeyes but still it’s so I conic. They can make it like armor like they do with all the costumes haha
The decades of comics history, with hundreds of artists making adjustments, and millions of fans letting their opinions be known, means these characters have the most intensely focus-grouped costumes imaginable. Every time the movies make a sincere attempt to be comics accurate, they end up with a great looking costume. That's why Deadpool is the most popular movie mutant. I hope Disney will give us accurate X-Men outfits going forward.
@@lyrad4584 You aren't quite grasping my point. The people who didn't want to use his comics costume made a bad movie (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), but the people who wanted to use that costume made good movies (Deadpool and Deadpool 2), and this is not a coincidence. Only people who respect the source use comic accurate costumes, and respecting the source usually results in better movies.

Aunt May getting younger is because she's significantly younger in the Ultimate universe. In the main universe, she's more like 80's or 90's, while Ultimate Aunt May is in her 50's.
i actually don't mind the younger May i mean she's supposed to be his aunt not his grandma
@@evenhartwick4422 and I have a aunt who is old
The youngest Aunt May should be around her mid or late 40s and the oldest should be her early 60s
I counted the holes in Hawkeye's quiver, there's 32 of them.
The title should be “designs marvel are too cowardly to use”
Nah cuz some of em are straight up bad
Especially Scarlett Witch
If DC do this to superman, i might actually watch all of supermans movie and DCU. His design throw me off.
After seeing Deadpool and Wolverine, your thumbnail hasn't aged too well lol
She may not be comic accurate but Marisa Tomei as aunt May has big Pixar Mom energy
Ironic considering Pixar and Marvel are both owned by Disney
I like how the Netflix shows all made sure to at least once reference the og costumes
Someone has the sniffles

@@firecoroner can't believe i missed that opportunity.
There's absolutely nothing embarrassing about Thor's helmet, it's iconic!
I still think they should've used the original Hawkeye costume. If Wolverine's mask can work in live action, so can a mask that's basically a purple version of it.
You can see Zola scrambling to save his plans and research in the first captain america movie, among those plans is what looks like schematics for a robot body
I still feel using the Ronin suit as a basis you could make a more classic inspired outfit that worked. Obviously never 100% but you could get something recognisable and distinct that looked good.
If we ever get Scorpion in the MCU I damn well hope it's a big, bright green body suit. That's all I want
We already have a Scorpion cast -- Vaas from Far Cry 3. They'll probably won't give him a big bright green body suit as the actor is short, so they'll probably stick him in a big CGI robot body.
@@romxxii yeah I know we have him cast, I meant for when he actually becomes the scorpion and isn't just some guy with a tattoo
If polka dot man isn't too ridiculous for the movies then Hawkeyes mask should be just fine, it's not super different from wolverines or Batman's.
Luke cage when he’s in his comic outfit: “I look like a damn fool”
Deadpool and Wolverine making this age like milk.
Hawkeye is both not enough of himself and yet just detached enough to look presentable. I prefer his 2015 run costume with the simple arrow shirt, pants, and boots combo.
Comic book Batroc the Leaper looks like a mix of Wolverine and Waluigi
He looks like a sexy Italian thanos lmao
that’s exactly what i was thinking

And that's how we got to where we are now.
These guys at a Beatles concert"
"We want more wings"
James and Maso broken up Beatles confirmed.
I’d like to see Black Panther in the cape and huge collar.
His would actually make sense. Since he's a king, it could just be ceremonial/formal garb.
I cannot wait for the eventual debut of Namor in the MCU. Hopefully they'll cast an up-and-coming actor because the repetitive John Kransinski roles are getting too stale tbh. I mean he's great, but I want to see other faces too, you know.
#Namor #KrasinskiGiveOthersAChance
"Stealing movie roles is not a joke John! Millions of actors suffer every year!"
- Rainn Wilson (probably)
Wow. Kudos to you for not seeing face.
Just casting any old differences in appearance for parts? That’s bold.
john krasinski is scheduled to play all of the xmen. and he will be appearing as kevin feige from now on. plus all the comic books will be tiny krasinski clones with his skin printed with the story.
I guess they skipped the whole “Ms. Marvel” thing with Carol Danvers, so we never got to see her leotard, cape, and boots look. 😂 Honestly, kinda glad we didn’t see it.
It would be odd
I believe the MCU has continually dropped the ball on Spiderman villains. Green Goblin, Harry's Green Goblin, Electro, The Vulture, The Shocker, and especially Rhino just to name a few. But that definitely gets into the discussion of ridiculous looking costumes in a real world scenario
0:19 wouldve been nice to mention he has em painted on at least
I wish Hemsworth hadn't had such a hatred of the helmet.
He said he hates it? It looks good on him.
Chris Helmsworth.
@@luhedi6303 Helmets and wigs are really uncomfortable to use, specially in action scenes. Having to redo a scene multiple times because they fall or move too much is one of the main issues
There is no way you said that the comic accurate costumes are ridiculous😂
I want a version of Iron Man in his old school, spandex- looking "armor"...
Which sometimes had roller skates, for some reason
@@kevinm5940 hahaha, everyone knows that Roller skating is faster than flying! Also, another great thing with the old suits? They and the Arc Reactor charged by plugging in to the wall. 😂

They say Captain America didn't have the little wings, then immediately show a clip of him with the little wings.
I feel like Thor's helmet having real, feathery wings is something the DC live action series would've done. Just big, grad visual gestures at the expense of everything else.
I'm baffled by anyone that says Wolverine's costume won't work on film.
I love the Spider-Man: Far From Home red & black costume. If it was more Ditko it'd be Objectivist.
If Spidey was more like Steve Ditko would still have a secret identity. Not even Aunt May would know what Peter's face looks like.
instead of a spider mask, an Ayn Rand mask. super scary.
@@mercurywoodrose Ayn Rand-Man would also go on and on into page long rants that always boggle down to "With great power comes not owing anything to no one.". Every. Single. Issue.
A lot of hardcore comic book fans just kind of need to face the reality that a lot of the designs you loved in comics are kind of dogshit and would look horrible in real life. This has been one of the greatest strengths of the MCU to weed out this bullshit and streamline the process.
As a real Marvel comic book fan to death i agreed, thats why the 2012 Cap suit doesn't fit
Funny how the movies really hate the secret identity stuff, it was such a staple of the early years of Marvel ( and who can forget how many years DC mined Clark/Superman and Lois ).
Vultures wings actually use magnets in the comics
You should do this for DC when suicide squad comes out.
I was shocked that Peacekeeper had a comics realistic costume. Instead of Mall Ninja Taticticool Crap all other non-powered characters wear nowadays.
@@sixpakshaker88 I’m surprised James Gunn took away bloodsport’s power to have weapons in inter dimensional storage, you think that’d be something he’d lean into, I would say it was a requirement from the studio but James Gunn also said he had full control of this film
If you have inter dimensional space at your disposal, it makes it hard to write scenarios where you will be challenged as a character, unless the whole thing goes wild. I haven’t seen the film, but I think the idea they settled on will work.
To be fair to the new Suicide Squad, I think Gunn got a _lot_ of them comic accurate: King Shark, Polka Dot Man, the Peacemaker, the Thinker, even their Rick Flagg is wearing more comic-accurate colors. You could maybe argue that Harley wearing edgy stripper gear instead of a harlequin bodysuit is not comic-accurate, but IIRC that look was specific to the Batman the Animated Series. Mallcore streetwalker has been her go-to costume even in the comics recently.
Naimor's ankles were indeed flapping
Fox tried to dunk on the original X-Men costumes and triggered a million nerds including myself.
They isn't even an argument for them being more practical because they're so restrictive they can't even jump over a ledge. Black is fine as a primary color though. Also I don't even get why Wolverine couldn't at least be sleeveless like Collosus was.
What was even worse is when Marvel decided to make the comics costumes more like the movies in the early 2000s because they thought that was what the fans wanted 🤦🏻♂️
@@philcorrigan5641 one of the worst eras for X-men comics at the time
And yet their best Wolverine costume was probably the most accurate one -- from the short future scenes in DoFP.
@@philcorrigan5641 I liked the movies, but when the comics rebooted yet again and aped the boring movie costumes, I stopped buying them and never started again.
Best heroe suit in a marvel movie is definitively deadpool's suit
Surprised they didn't put Wolverine in here. I know it's focused on MCU but they did Blade.
I really don't want wolverine again in the X-Men MCU reboot. He's a great character and Hugh Jackman was a great casting but the fox series overused him so much. It would be better to focus on other X-Men characters the fox movies didn't do well like Cyclops, Rogue and Angel so we get an actual team movie
@@rorylynch7775 Well I'd like to see a new version of Wolverine but I agree that they should do a couple X-Men movies without him. Maybe have him show up in a couple of the other characters films first and build up to him joining the team.
Sunday Movies: No movie studio will use these ridiculous costumes.
Suicide Squad (2021): Ima end this man's whole career.
Mysterio in Far From Home.
His final look without the holograms is just a mocap suit with a fishbowl on his head, it was a bit of a letdown considering i am a big fan of Mysterio.
He wears the suit for real sometimes though.
This video made me realize how much I miss some 90s costumes
I hope we get to see Thor’s classic comic accurate look, with the winged helmet and everything, in a brief flashback sequence explaining Classic Loki’s origins in later eps of Loki. Maybe he came from a comic accurate Asgard as a whole
Thanks for posting this on my BIRTHDAY!!!! I'm late for this I know!
To answer the question, seeing Bucky in his original costume would be hilarious, just Sebastian Stan in a blue leotard with red tights and the standard black superhero mask. Maybe they’ll do it one day since so many other MCU heroes have had a moment making fun of their original costumes.
His Falcon and the Winter Soldier look had similar colors to his original outfit.
In all honesty, the old movie Aunt May always made me uncomfortable. I don't know why, she's just always made me cringe. And I hate to use that word
Isn't it weird though that Peter Parker is meant to be a teenager and yet he has an aunt that looks like she's in her 70s? Doesn't it make more sense that she's a woman in her 40s/50s?
I actually have a friend who thought Aunt may was Peters grandmother in the og movies
Maria Tomei is in her late 50s. She just looks fantastic
It’s not that weird.
I think Vulture in the comics when he first appeared, he flew by using some sort of Magnetism.
I’d love to see how they would translate Jack of Hearts’ costume into the MCU LOL
Hawkeye's purple costume was one that got me into the Avengers and Marvel for that matter. As weird as it sounds, I was super into the video game and he was my favorite character.
This shows that not everything has to made comic accurate
@Latest Obsession yes exactly what I think
@Latest Obsession wait, what happened in the 70s???
@Latest Obsession so what if it looks dumb? You can make classic costumes work?
“Keep feathering it brother”.
- fedsmoker
“I know my family is completely snapped out of existence, but ima get a sweet ass haircut…”
-Hawkeye
Hawkeye's getup in the comic was very justified, as he learned his abilities as a circus worker rather than as a SHIELD agent (this also explains why all his weapons were the nonlethal kind - as a performer, he wasn't supposed to stab his audience by mistake).
Namor got the little wings at least
If everyone went with the comic costumes it'd be ridiculous 🤣🤣
We just have to look at Richard E Grants Loki to see that 🤣
My god... I didn't know about Blade's original design. lol
Definitely want to see an accurate wolverine costume one day I know it’s a little cheese like Hawkeyes but still it’s so I conic. They can make it like armor like they do with all the costumes haha
They did it with wolverines suit why not Hawkeye😭
If Benedict Cumberbatch wasn't Dr Strange he wouldve made a great Namor
Humberto Cabbagepatch is a man of many talents
Had the Hawkeye 'miniseries' (on Disney+) come out by the time you made this? I think they 'redeem themselves' (costume-wise) in that.
BuT DEaD0oL ISnT a MuTANt HeS a MUTatE
I highly disagree Deadpool is popular because of his costume but whatever man
@@lyrad4584 You aren't quite grasping my point.
It can be done. But Wolverine wears his earth tone brown and ocre suit. Blue and canary yellow don't look good on him.
