Oh that's cool that you're getting into game design. I wish I had gotten more into that. I grew up in the '90s and really loved playing video games of the time and I still love playing those games today but I also like to play some of the modern games too. Really the most experience I could see I have with designing a video game is making levels in Super Mario Maker 1 and 2 as well as making custom campaigns in starcraft. I tried making custom missions in Warcraft 3 but I couldn't figure out how to best use that map editor in that game. There was a point in time about 5 years ago that I did decide to start taking Python classes on Team treehouse and I was enjoying it but no it may have something to do with my ADHD I'm not sure, but I just couldn't keep going. I would actually be studying these classes every time I had a lunch break during a job I worked at the time, But I don't know I found it harder to remind myself to study at home. I also took medication for my ADHD back then so that might have something to do with why I was better at studying anyways, but now I just can't really focus. Although I've gotten better at doing other things without my medication but studying Python I just kind of lost track on.
Game design is the only thing that has ever made my ADHD manageable. For some reason when I'm researching, working or just thinking about this kind of stuff... The chaos in my head is just shut down. It's not a cure for ADHD but i would suggest taking more shots at game design. Mario Maker, Starcraft and Warcraft 3 are valid methods even if they feel stupid. You can always learn and if you decide to try and learn again then you can come along with me as I learn. We have a discord for anyone interested in learning more!
Nintendo recently patented Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend, and Recall in Tears of the Kingdom. Will Indie developers still be able to create a platformer about ascending through ceilings, or a VR physics puzzle game about attaching things together to make vehicles, and rewinding objects in time?
This shouldn't effect indie developers in this way. A game with ALL of these abilities and nothing else may cause some problems and you certainly CANNOT use the same names as Nintendo does in their new game, but locking off entire game mechanics for other developers isn't usually what companies go for when patenting their mechanics.
totally watched that game theory video that said to launch a channel like this ngl it's smart, I'm kinda hooked and only wish there was more to watch, awesome start so far
@@TheGhostyGames LMAO I KNEW IT ngl it is a smart strategy, good on you for implementing it. it feels so nice to finally recognize this kind of channel launch in the wild, I'm absolutely honored to be able to witness this channel in its early stages. keep up the good work!
The quality is crazy for so few subscribers, I’m definitely subbing!!
Thanks for the sub!

These vids are really good! I think it was a good move to release your first few videos in a batch, that seemed to have worked out for me also.
Thank you so much! I figured I should give as much content as possible
Good luck with the channel man!@@TheGhostyGames
