Words cannot express the depths of my gratitude towards Nintendo and Square for hearing us fans on this one. I’ve waited 27 long years for this. Thank you Shigero Miyamoto for creating Mario and his world. Thank you Chihuro Fujioka for directing this masterpiece, thank you Yoko Shimomura for blessing this game and the remaster with your musical talents. After 27 Years Of Slinece, Mallow & Geno Is Back.
44 year-old guy here. Literally my summer of 1996. Excited to relive the nostalgia. I received this game on 5/24/96 for my 17th birthday.
Mario turning into Bowser and Peach to explain what happened is just the best. It is so funny and him standing in mid-air defying gravity was the best too.
I love how an actual symphony orchestra performed this amazing soundtrack too 🤩
35 years old and I’m crying tears of joy, this game was my childhood.
Them keeping the original proportions of the characters in 3D is actually a really cute touch.
This is probably one of the most unbelievable things Nintendo has done, truly epic

This was my favorite mario game ever. It breathed life into each character in a way that made me love the franchise. Cant wait.
This game is a shining gem in my childhood memories, man.. I randomly found it at a rental shop back then and fell in love. It was my first introduction to rpgs and I was terrible at the game for a long time and I adored every minute of it. My only internet access at the time was at my school's library, so I'd spend my breaks browsing early fansites and printing out stock artwork of the characters. I even had Bowser's castle w/ Exor painted on my bedroom wall at some point.
Not only does this look spectacular but it has CUTSCENES. Like wow they went all out, they know how much people love this gem.
I really like how the models aren't based on their modern looks back and rather the original sprites. So cool!
One of the things I'm most curious about, is how Culex will look in this visual overhaul!
This was the first RPG I ever played. Ended up loving the heck out of it and was the driving force to other great RPS. Including Final Fantasy 7 through 10, Parasite Eve, Chrono Cross and Trigger, Tales of Destiny, Xenogears, Golden Sun, Mega Man Legends 1 & 2, Fantasy Star Online, Sonic Adventure, and Diablo 2- just to name a few 😁
