I have the first LED version and it's just fine it's noit worth it to change to the OLED version so I'll be waiing for the Steam DECK 2 I don't play it as much as my computer but I freaking love it it's one of my favorite console ever.
@@stvnoahc7249 I know exactly what it is about and I know I do not need a better one since the original version perfectly fits my needs. Thanks though.
Only because you said it's "not worth it" I'm saying this.. but you should consider going with the OLED if your intention is to just wait until the next gen. It's likely we won't even see a steam deck 2 until 2026. But the OLED screen is bigger, runs at 90 hertz, naturally looks incredibly nicer color-wise, the battery is better, and the RAM / processing is a little more optimized. It's more than a noticeable upgrade, and I had the original LCD version like you. You might just find yourself playing on it even more than you do now.
@@stvnoahc7249 I just got a pair of OLED Viture glasses to go with my LCD SD. Perfect for travel and laying in bed! It's my understanding that when docked, the differences in the OLED and LCD SDs are negligible.
it's due to white is not mass production color buying it in bulk that drive the cost down it's maybe the shell case limit run it's limit amount Valve ordered.
Wishlisted the Billy game but i guess i'll be busy with stalker 2 for the whole next year. Rumors says that game is good optimized so that even LCD Steam Deck can handle it.
@@GREATVOVA oh wow, having something as beefy as Stalker 2 on a portable is going to be amazing. FPS controls on it might take some getting used to, for me anyway.
Did you know what you were buying when you bought it? Do you even have a steam game library that you are invested in? I'm not even trying to be facetious, I'm legitimately curious. I'm just wondering how somebody gets a steam deck and turns it into a paperweight, unless they don't know what it's made for. Also, do you have the LCD original version or the OLED? Plus if it's a paperweight, just sell it and let someone else enjoy it lol.
@@snotgoblinI don't play mine much anymore as well. It was very useful until I had more time to sit down and play at a desk. Now it's like why play on it when my available game time is also when I have access to a high refresh desktop setup? Still an amazing device though.
It’s all personal preference to anyone that wanted it white in glad they can get it, for my self white electronics look like dog 💩. But still glad people are getting options.
Some products look good in white - but looking at it in ghis case the Deck looks better in black . Something doesn't sit right with the white Deck - can't put my finger on it . Looks sleeker in black .
The microfiber cloth is where it’s at. Don’t discount a clean screen, jelly bean.
Im so mad i JUST got a oled and put a white skin on it, i could have just got it in white if i waited a week 😢
Argh, that's really annoying!
@ I figured it would happen, i guess its better then them dropping a steam deck 2 a week after i bought it lmao. Thanks for the vid! :)
Return it lol
@ i literally considered it lmao
My apologies

@@kroooassant9899 Yeah I hear it may only be two years away, so waiting is probably the best bet.
I hope Steam Deck 2 comes in white on day 1.
I have both. You have no idea how much better the oled is over the lcd in EVERY way.

Stalker 2 should not be a big problem.
most white tech costs more I think it has something to do with how they make it

Interesting never knew that
Can this emulate games?
With some finagling. However, if you want emulation, it would be much easier to do on a Windows handheld like ROG Ally.
Is that before or after taxes?
It's obviously before
The Steam Deck is the best paperweight I've ever bought - literally never use the thing.
Might be because you never leave your house. 😂
