30 seconds in and you've got a new subscriber! Your sub count is criminally low, I haven't even gotten to the actual video yet but the framing is just so professional that I gotta commend it. Always happy to see more channels pop up in this vein 👍

Numbers mean nothing outside sales, so please don't suggest they do. Just let the guy produce stuff.
Some 'tiny' content creators put out the best takes and analysis.

I can't believe I'm one of the first 100 to sub to this channel.
even if you had 10k I would have been impressed by your quality

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I love to see that people are assigning bigger numbers in their head! It will only go up from here because I’ll never stop working!

Well, thats really a Subjective take. But generally, true Open Worlds with genuine lore and content related to the series have proven to be most Successful and win over most fans.
Games can be flawed and not technically Perfect but still be bags of fun.

100% agreed. Game design “rules” are not definitive in the slightest😂

@@TheGhostyGames Yep, I mean take Starfield. It's gotten so bad that even populist reviewers like Gamespot have shown 'no mercy' and slapped a 7/10 rating on it. I still feel that's generous: Starfield is imo 1 of the worst offenders in PR and _not rewarding_ you with its bland exploration and endless repetitive fights with Space grunts. It's not even seamles: the map is divided into disconnected zones. Bethesda have failed here.

Donkey Kong 64 _is_ a masterpiece, one of the best 3D platformers ever made LOL.

If you go for 101% it can certainly not feel like a masterpiece at times, but if you only go for the collectibles you need to beat the game then it is very fun

@@gabs3147 I got 102% and my only issues in it were that I couldn't find 25 of Chunky's bananas in the pirate ship level somewhere, and Beaver Bother bothered me.

This showed up on my recommendation feed, and I gotta say - it's so damn good.
I can see the GMTK inspiration, and honestly it's so cool to see more in depth game design analysis videos like those! Just one suggestion; tone down the "please subscribe" parts quite a bit. By the 7:10 mark I'd counted about 3 of them, and in my opinion it just breaks the pace of the video entirely and personally made me lose my train of thought and concentration on the topic.
Other than that, awesome video! Definitely subbing for more :D

Thank you so much for your feedback! GMTK is obviously a huge inspiration for this because they are such a useful tool for people to use. I'm SO glad someone has already made the comparison early on! And your feed back has been taken in and fixed as we speak😩😂
