Absolutely the original!!! I did this work out so often in my youth I didn’t need the video anymore. At one point I could just hear it play beat for beat, word for word in my head. Thank you Jane.
Did this as a teenager when it came out in the 80s, changed from lazy and chubby to athletic and slim. It's fun, effective, and at 54 it's still my favourite. Got me into a career in fitness.
Utterly fantastic workout. Easy to modify or do more slowly to accommodate your own needs, and VERY effective. Beginner's workout is 35 minutes long. Advanced is an hour and starts around 37:00
@@maribelruizdealmironsanvic629 I was replying to the question about when she had knee issues, not the year of the video, lol. She was in her late 70s or early 80s when she had surgery.
And does it run in your family? Did you starve and have eating disorders until you were in your 40s? Jane can answer yes to both of those questions. Bess Motta, of the 20 Minute Workout - which was huge in the 80s and all high impact aerobics - is in great shape to this day. Still doing lots of cardio, no surgeries, lean as a healthy teenager. So it's not the workouts that resulted in Jane's surgeries.
Also the original music was completely different! She worked out to some major popstars of the day, including Micheal Jackson and others, probably couldnt affor the copyright!
That was the record, not the video. This is the original music. I still have the book, record and VHS from back then, lol. They're family heirlooms now. 😂
UA-cam won't let me share the link for some reason, but look up Jane Fonda Workout record, you'll see a video that's a little over 8 minutes with the Jackson Five playing. That was where she had pop music. The video was always this music.
I always loved this music. We had the LP and that was fun too. I tend to prefer instrumental music while exercising. This is what's on our ancient VHS tape, lol.
The music on the home video and the record were different. The record had major pop stars' songs featured but the original music on the video never changed.

OK, I’m going to admit I first did this as a joke but oh my God this was actually a good workout.

Estoy viendo estos entrenamientos y son increíbles
I loved this.
Beginner's workout is about 35 minutes long.
Advanced begins at about 37:00
7:23. Hmmm🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. So, this is where twerking started
Nope. Wasn't until her late 70s/early 80s.
Este vídeo es de 1982.

The queen of "wear and tear".
How so? Been doing these since I was 13, I'm 53 now. No wear and tear here.
Given that she didn't need surgery or have joint issues until she was dealing with osteoporosis, in her 70s, I'd say that's a myth.
@@Kinesiology411 I am in my 70s and don't need surgery.

Didn't she need joint replacements very early on???
No.
No, she had joint issues later in life.
No, she was diagnosed with osteoporosis in her 70s, which runs in the family. That led to her hip and knee replacements.
