I hope this is the problem with my truck. I bought it used from a Ford dealer three months ago and they went through the whole truck and replaced the turbo in it. Now it’s make a noise like the truck you worked on. Brand new turbo and I thought it was going out already. I pulled off the intake and checked the turbo and it spins fine and has no play. I’m hoping it is the exhaust manifold bolts now. I can fix that no problem. Thanks for the video.
Is it the first high pitch squeal or the second screech when your letting off , my truck is giving the deeper squeal when I let off , but the manifolds are still in tact with no broken studs , turbo is still good I’m curious what can cause the second squeal when letting off
So is the noise the second high pitch noise or the first high pitch noise that’s like really short. The second noise always happens after the loudest when you let off the gas.
on the 6.7 you can stick your hand down the intake to check the turbo for worn bearings.which would make the turbine hit the housing. should not be any play
not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my girlfriend during the lockdown xD
@@zmndrf super crappy, you are best served to change all the studs and both manifolds as well. Parts are cheap believe it or not but it’s a ton of labour

I hear a whine now at idle. It's intermittent though. Was your steady?

I have a 15 and 19 and never heard this. But it does sound like a air leak once under pressure.

About 2hrs start to finish. But Im pretty good with a wrench. The average Joe will probably take longer.
I’ve got a very faint squeak at no throttle. But goes away under even faint throttle. Just wondering if that’s the beginning of the squeal.
