My truck had CCV filter on it. I didn’t delete it but I did replace. My mechanic said it’s probably what started my oil leaks. My truck doesn’t drip but seaps some everywhere 😂. Might look into the delete for that. Also the cp4 disaster kit would be a good idea. I already did all the deletes
My cousin just spent like 11k+ on a cp4 disaster fix at the shop so I figured I’d rather pay 400 +the pump itself if it fails. And I have heard a lot of guys leaks stop after deleting ccv apperantly, luckily mine had never leaked at all
Also super important. swap that upper fuel filter from plastic to a housing with a spin on. Next replace the charge air cooler pipe with a metal one instead of the plastic. Mine has broken and I know two people who had it go. It’s easy insurance

Just FYI after it splits or in my case when it blew off the truck you're stuck. No turbo, no power..truck barely moves. Better to get ahead of the game (especially if you're running a tune w/ increased boost) then have it blow on a road trip like mine did...lol, Lesson learned the hard way.

Have you heard of adding shims to the egr when the dpf gets removed? I’ve been told by a ford mechanic it’s best to leave everything intact after deleting. Just disconnect and tune
Don’t buy disaster prevention kits. It’s a $400 waste of money. Fix the real problem: the CP4. Get the upgraded RCD CPX pump ($1000 base price) or even better, the S&S DCR conversion ($2000). No guarantee those DPKs will work and even if they do you’d still have to replace the pump. If you’re in there just do it right.
It’s terrible to have motors that need so much work and money to make it more reliable. Possible another brand could be better? I’m not sure but it’s a great looking truck.
I got the H&S my whole dash lit, I ended on the side of the road last month because it shut me down till I unplugged it even that my truck didn’t want to crank until I unhook the negative battery terminals and did a restart im still driving around with the stock tune on. I just can’t have the tuner plug in telling me the EGTs or load or else I’ll be on the side of the road again
@nick7.398 my experience with k&n I put one on a dodge cummins. I cleaned it often as well, but I was finding dust on the inside of the intake tube. They work good on gasoline motors, but diesel with turbo will pull dust into motor. Better off if you can adapt a BHAF filter to it.
I want a 6.7 I’d just go ahead and install a S&S DCR pump that replaces the cp4 all together. Other then that just a tune and delete with intake and exhaust is fine for me.

First off in your video, you advise eliminating all the federal law enforced requirements. Get caught and you might ask those have been caught what fine they paid. Over 5k is commonly paid in all states ans in Canada. but the fine can be more, much more,. You pay but still must restore the vehicle to legal requirements. That' s if your vehicle isn't impounded, good luck. I'll keep mine so it passes the legal requirement.

Ahh come on mate, the CAC pipe is easy to change. My hot side pipe was the pain. Fkn factory boot stuck on the intercooler and getting the clip to come off the the end that was attached to the turbo was a pain.
@@nick7.398 on the hot side pipe we can agree. The CAC pipe is a more common failure point that is worth the $300 investment to replace with a Pusher or other manufacturer replacement. That’s just my opinion and what I did when my truck hit 100k miles.
I looked up if Tx does emission inspection on diesels and it said they are exempt. I might do some more research before I delete any truck I get but hopefully I can.

You forgot one important thing with these 6.7 trucks. You need a bank account with 15,000-20,000 bucks in it for emergency repairs. Nothing is cheap to fix on those trucks when it it comes to motor issues. If yet to see any one offer proof that those disaster kits actually work. Everyone I seen post about their CP4 pump failure they ended up having to do injectors, lines and a tank flush or replacement.

All deleting the EGR could do as far as Temps is make it a little cooler, when it’s still on it will put hot exhaust into ur intake with it deleted you got strictly cold intake air
@@nick7.398 Actually when running an EGR while it is dirty, its ran through an intercooler before reentering the engine and removing it actually increases the EGT's I just wasnt sure if you had ran into problems. Some people see super high temps when towing.
@@HMuny55intercooler physically cannot cool air to ambient temperature or below. Fresh air is always colder, not to mention that fresh air will end up going through the intercooler aswell.

I thought this was common knowledge but u guess not. It's not about the temp of the air coming into the engine that determines the EGT's its the temps generated at combustion with the air(o2) fuel ratios

But, as is, I traded for a Ram in 2018, while they were still putting the CP3, before the 2019 “upgrade”!

Texas passed a no longer need inspection bill. Only gasoline vehicles in highly populated cities still need emission test. Diesels are exempt.

When the plastic on mine split, the dealer had several charge pipe kits in stock. Wonder why lol
I got a rubber one, just had to tighten the hose clamps back down after I blew the boot off at about 105mph
They do make an upgrade for the cp4 pump. It’s a better bulletproof then the disaster kit

Probably a loose connection somewhere I know a lot of guys with chips on old 7.3s have them get a little loose and it makes it not start

170,500 now bought it with 156k and was already deleted, previous owner deleted it soon after buying it in 2015 so id assume didnt have much miles
Defeat all emissions. Straight pipe. Upgrade air filter, no k&n and you're good to go.

DCR pump costs thousands, the filter is $400. Also DCR reduces power so thats why I chose not to do that
