    1:55 off arm, keep arm at 90 degree with elbow
    Be subtle push more with shoulder, don't extend the arm
    4:05 when defenders try to hook you. pin the defender with your off hand, hook their arm underhand
    6:05 use your legs the way u would use the off arm, curl the leg right around their lead leg. Leg across body
    7:00 quick step back and forward to cut angle off
    6:40 second option to beat defender, put off hand on defender hip

    The issue with the physical defender where I play is he pushes, A LOT. There's SOO much contact that the only way you can attack them straightforward is by having your back towards them. Or you could call for a foul BUT since I'm trynna get better control of the ball and handling contact I beat them by baiting them. I beat them off the dribble before attacking. Not just a regular beating no you have to TRULY get them with your handles

  • @extravagant5985
    @extravagant5985 2 роки тому +50

    I've been playing basketball since the 3rd grade so it's harder to cross me, but I've noticed that when people cross you, they push you to the other side so they would do a cross over and make it seem like they crossed you. I'm trying to learn how to do that, but after seeing it in action, I should be better at getting rid of the defender.

    • @YoutuberFaceReveals
      @YoutuberFaceReveals 2 роки тому +2

      For me, I only push the defender or use a lot of contact if the defender is also being physical, like what he’s showing in this video. Bcuz if they’re being really physical there’s no way to cross them or get by without being physical on offence

      I mean, if you're in organized play, just draw shooting fouls until he stops. Just bring your shot up into one of those arms. You'll get some and 1s, some free throws, and he'll have to adjust. If you're in pick-up ball, start passing the ball through his legs. You can also just swim through his arm. Basically like a defensive end in football. Force his arm down, leaning your body weight onto it if needed. You can also sweep it up and blow by too. If he's too strong for you to even do that then I think you have to make him respect the step back jumper, then blow by the hand he raises? If your shot is trash and you're too noodly to even move his arm then you need to work on your shot and or strength.
