A very rational take. Most channels have shallow criticism of the pro over its price ignoring the value it brings to the table. People are willing to spend 1000$ on mobile phones and think 700 for a 4k gaming machine is too much.
You need a phone. You don't need a console.

You ... really do not know how the world works do you? Yes. Every game ever is made on PC. I know you have sex with your console every night, lord knows no woman will ever touch you but yes. Every game is built on a PC.
You're absolutely right and I can't believe I didn't see it before. Microsoft nor Nintendo are competing or pushing the envelope, so having a sector that aims at PC gaming will continue to keep them on edge. So I can see two if not three business targets, the $500/subsidies at the base, $700 for the specs snobs, and possibly a $1000 console for particular market. And with the X86 architecture, the game library will only grow as well as the console will be supported for at least 10 years.

Personally, i have a 3060 laptop that can already handle all of the extra "pc stuff" that pc gamers bring up to compare with the ps5 pro. And im pretty sure everyone or most people have an old pc or laptop that's capable of that too.
I pre ordered the ps5 pro and sold my ps5 for like 400$.
I already have a 4k monitor and i just couldnt justify spending upwards to 1.5k+ on a gaming pc which i know wont have optimised games or day 1 releases.
Some people will start saying "u dont need to spend 1.5k for a good pc"
And thats not true. U can build a pc with shitty parts and a shitty processor and motherboard and suffer with bugs and issues because it runs on windows and it cant be compared to a console when it comes to fully using each component in the system and having it tailormade for gaming.
Thank you for commenting! Your opinion and decision is exactly why I outline in the video. PC gaming can be very expensive, and it would need to continue to be worth the price for people to continue to choose it over the cheaper console alternatives. If the performance on consoles are getting better, and pricing for new pc cards continue to increase with each new release, this decision becomes tougher to make. I definitely see some coming from pc to the ps5 pro rather than spending upwards of $1.5k to upgrade on PC. Especially in this economy. But I also believe there will always be people who want to game on the best graphics rigs as well. The debate will get more contentious over the next few years.

I see the argument but i don't see how ps5 pro could realistically be in direct competition with PCs. The advantages of PC are so much more than just high end graphics tech. I don't think there's a significant consumer segment that makes the calculation that you describe "i want RT and upscaling in my games while not paying upwards of $1000". PCs are an entirely different category of purchase in the vast majority of consumers.
They are attempting with the digital push to compete with PC and that’s a battle they’ll lose in stupendous fashion.
I think the argument is more so, for those considering moving to PC, or for those with very outdated PCs, is the performance difference significant enough of a difference from the playstation versions to warrant paying thousands more. While ALSO foregoing the playstation library already built over the years (when coming from the PS side), or should I just stick with the PS5 Pro that now has raytracing features, AI upscaling, and 60fps at high resolutions? Or from the pc side, should I upgrade and buy the crazy new NVIDIA card that they continue to gouge gamers with in pricing, or should I consider just getting a PS5 Pro and call it a day? Also doesn't help that many pc ports are honestly either subpar filled with bugs and/or barely distinguishable from the playstation version.

I’m so glad my PC is not weak. I built it myself like only 1200!
PCs have mods that can upgrade the visuals and performance on weaker PCs!
I have no problem building programming my computers! I’m an automatic technician.
The interesting thing you said in your previous post, was how Sony was becoming more like Apple, but I actually think they are doing it better. Sony didn't even talk about Wifi 7 that's a major update. The AI upscaling will get better also. PS5 pro on a 83 inch oled will just look outrageously good compared to a pc game on a max 34 inch screen.
You make a great point on video quality gaming on a TV vs a monitor. That's a pretty big differentiator honestly. Thanks for commenting! 🙏🏾
When are people gonna let this go? Pc works also on TV. You can even stream from pc to TV. We'll see how we'll the pro will do but honestly, we've been here before. Overpromises and under delivering
@@jordirapper That is true, but it is just a different experience than people are used to. People have decades of experience plugging their consoles into a tv, people don't traditionally want to plug a desktop into a 55"/60" tv. Definitely a mental hurdle. Also, people move consoles around from room to living room and vice versa often. Would be much more difficult to do with a desktop pc, and probable not safe to do either. These are likely additional factors for why consoles fare better for casual gamers. Thanks for commenting!
Sony has priced us out of the console market with the 5 Pro.
Plain and simple.
There was NO REASON for them to make that system $700+!
PC has the fastest tech advancements
PC has Price options that mostly beat PS5
PC has more digital games & games
PC has access to Xbox & Xbox gamepass
PC has access to Steam, Epic, GOG librsry
PC has access to PlayStation games after time exclusivity
PC looks way better than PlayStation

Sony makes more money than any video game company in the world.😂 . Most of the biggest selling games on Steam this year where Playstation games.😂 Sony has Zero competition at this point.
A console can never compete with a PC. We have too many mods man! Why would you want to console experience on a PC? I don’t care about anti-cheat,because I’m a cheater.
People choose pc to play games on their terms. That’s the incentive for pc gaming. Sure nvidia and amd will continue to scum it up but pc gaming is only growing due to that freedom not found on console as people become more disgruntled with the console walled garden
A good quality PC cost around $30.000 up to $100.000 grand those are power house computers
