"For a minute there, I lost myself." it's such a beautiful crescendo, I always feel so lost in the moment when they get to that part, so unbelievably addictive and good. Thom's voice is otherworldly.
@@Perfectly-unperfectly Actually, he didn't drop his plectrum... he is capable of hiding it in his right-hand fingers to make the song more dynamic... you can see clearly at 2.20
Ok Computer as a whole is a brilliant album. One of my favorite RH albums. They have many greats, but this one takes the freakin cake. RH gets better with every album. They do not make music to satisfy a trend or particular audience. Thom Yorke writes some great songs. Some are complex, but that is what makes him unique as a writer.
I'm not really able to tell what makes a song excellent in relation to musical complexity or anything, if it sounds good and memorable that will do it for me. I love this song even if a can't appreciate it's complexity because it just sounds so great.
EoghanMcCarthy900 Agreed. The vocals near the end of the song always get back to me. It's so beautiful.. I wish Radiohead would sing those chords more often live (with the whole band).
This was hair-rising! What an awesome performance, so accurate and so well rehearsed! I had no idea Radiohead were this good, and so good instrumentalists as well! I can now see why they inspired Chris Martin so much
Even though the last words I told my momma was that I loved her kissed her forehead, she well we didn't have to speak when we ideas about anything.. the next morning she passed peacefu8in my bed watching her British comedies. I lost myself . I still feel that way. It's starting to ebb..she was my doppelganger my best friend. Someone ripped out my heart, my eyes. I could still feel and see.
If it weren't for the comments, I never would have noticed the air drummer-- I'm too hypnotized by the beauty of this performance. From 3:52 to about 4:00, the way Thom's voice melds with the piano and guitar is just perfection.
The tragic death of a childhood friend of mine, she's gone already, but this was her favorite song. Somehow this song connects me to her and lets me remember her and miss her at the same time😢😢
one of the best alternative rock music band ever....the harmony in this one is unbelievable ....what the hell is this piano performance & vocal attitude...
+Meth Mouth65 I play guitar and have never thought of holding a pick between my pointer and middle finger. I've always played using my thumb. I think everybody does. Thom dropped his pick. That's why he laughed.
Me and friends played this at talent show but our keyboard-organ player didnt go to my school so we had to leave it out. Bummer. Still got some ovation but it was 1998 and not a whole lot of students in Alabama had heard it b4.
I LOVE this song SO FUCKIN MUCH!!!! I can listen to it for hours. The sound, the composition, the singing. I just can't say enough good then about it or the group 👍😊👍
I revisit this video a couple times a year. I have seen a lot of music in my life, and a lot of musicians feeding off one another. These two musicians locking in at the 2:42 point on is one of the most amazing musical connections I have ever witnessed. Give this camera person a raise as they captured the moment perfectly.
Whoa !! That's what I call music ! Love the way Jonny and Thom are living their music.. we can hear the crazy musicality through the melody, chords and lyrics :O
Lord Malberry you might want to thank the Beatles While you're at it considering this song is basically a rip off of Sexy Sadie a Beatles song SMH if not a rip-off at least heavily influenced and very borrowed from
I like how it isn't actually much different from how they usually do it, the quieter room just makes justice to the piano performance that blends in too well for its own good in most of their live recordings
fabulous rendition of one of their best songs in my opinion. the video that goes with the studio version is brilliant as well but as live versions go this is up there with the best. thanx for sharing!
"For a minute there, I lost myself." it's such a beautiful crescendo, I always feel so lost in the moment when they get to that part, so unbelievably addictive and good.
Thom's voice is otherworldly.
So good !!! But you must hear “ Live Not Survive” by SLT 🤘🎶🎧🎸🔥🎹
yeah, my favourite part of any song. transcendental
Karma police🚓
This is the best song of all time - imo of course
The first "this is what you'll get" made me smile. Thoms laugh is adorable!
me too, so pretty
it's so funny, it makes me laugh too.
He dropped he’s plectrum. I would have panicked not laughed but that’s why he’s a professional and I’m not
@@Perfectly-unperfectly Actually, he didn't drop his plectrum... he is capable of hiding it in his right-hand fingers to make the song more dynamic... you can see clearly at 2.20
That laugh was super funny
This song sounds like surrendering to the acceptance of an undeniable sadness we all share at some point.
That was so deep Adele wrote a whole album about it.
that was so deep I can see Adele rolling in it
+ronald beaudoin-paul That was almost as cool and ironic as your Monroe piercing. Wow..
Sabeeee mucho. You nailed it... Cheers
best hope is to find someone that can enjoy this the way you do yourself ... definition of hapiness
"thank God for the rain and thank God for radiohead."

I still don't get it

Still one of the best bands in the world.
Yes
Sa my Yes is a bad band.
cristo quintana Yea no Yes is an excellent band, and I don't even like "classic" rock.
The Best*
top 3
One of the best karma police performances I have ever heard. Hands down.
Version on Letterman was good. Jonny played the Rhoades organ.
This whole set
Sensational
Jesus how bad was the others?
I agree.
The musicality behind this song is just insane.. They're soooo talented, one of my all time favorite songs
Kaitlin Madio its not only the concept of the song it that beautiful melody
That piano is simply too good... what an amazing musician Jonny is...
This is definitely my favourite version of Karma Police
Song karma police🚓
Jonny Greenwood is the secret force behind this band, with his hauntingly beautiful lingering leads on Guitar and Keyboard. Unbelievable talent
So good !!! But you must hear “ Live Not Survive” by SLT 🤘🎶🎧🎸🔥🎹
@@beezybeez5971 yes but you must listen to Barbie Girl by Aqua...
not much of a secret but yeah johnny killed this song
Nah Ed O’Brien is
+1 for the air drummer
This makes me want to learn piano
Nick Barker Fully worth it! Do it while you can :D
Nick come to Chile! I can teach you the whole song!
Omg same!!!
I was thinking ‘why not guitar?’ at the beginning, but at the end... truly amazing!
This makes me want to throw away my telecaster and buy a piano
Jonny couldn't have been more on point at the end.
so pure, so simple, so good
this is SUCH a great version of this song...jazzy as hell, my god
jazzy indeed 👌
As crappy as this life often is, I’m glad that I’m alive at the same point in history as Radiohead.
One of most beautiful song of all time...
Thom: This is karma police.
People: Wooooooh!!!........
*start the song*
People: Woooooooh!!!

Johhny's just in it for the feeling. He just takes off right after the song's done.
Such a humble musician... gotta respect that about a man.

Lo mágico de esta melodía, es que irónicamente, a pesar de ser melancólica, genera placer escucharla.
So beautifully said and I almost missed translating the words into English.

Lyrics are fairly easy to comprehend. It is a great song though
damonsnomad so pop is best?
True.
Dare I say it... it's the best version, even better than the studio one
This was hair-rising! What an awesome performance, so accurate and so well rehearsed! I had no idea Radiohead were this good, and so good instrumentalists as well! I can now see why they inspired Chris Martin so much
End of 2016 and still came back here to watch this gem.
Awesome! I love seeing Jonny really work the piano!
En el momento mas oscuro de nuestras vidas esta la melodia de esta canción es como una invitación al viaje de donde no se vuelve jamás

One of my favorite live Karma Police performances. The Sweet Radiohead I love!
It looks so simple to play but at the same time it sounds so beautiful, thats what makes an artist and its songs great, simply amazing.
Que saudades destes tempos onde se fazia boa musica Radiohead será eterno para mim representa muito a minha juventude. Obrigado Radiohead ;)
WONDERFUL LIVE PERFORMANCE. ADORABLE THOM
The piano bit is good
Jonny Greenwood still has the posture of a 16 year old boy :)
Haunting. His laugh is perfect, too.
I am definitely hooked on these acoustic versions. Those two are awsome!

great song...great version...great times

I miss seeing Raidiohead live, one of the best performances by far.

Una de las mejores canciones que he escuchado!
They are extremely talented, this is a beautiful tune.
He laughs because of the guy making that air durm playing.
minute 2:45
He didn't laugh because of the air drummer. He dropped his pick. You can see him strumming with his fingers.

Thanks David Bowie, for inspiring these guys.

David Bowies alive, seriously
They were inspired by David Byrne of the Talking heads!

Thom & Jonny are both beautiful and brilliant. They both become one with the music. Thom's smile/laugh at 1:32 gives me the warm fuzzies.
