    This pedal has been in the back of my head since I got the helix. Glad to see it pairs great!

    Dude, can you give like 2% of your talent please. I'm digging your vids man. I'm 2 years into my guitar playing journey (I'm 46 now). Love my Helix! Learned about Stereo inputs and mic spacing from your last few Helix vids. Thanks man!

    Nice demo. Line 6 really needs to add some sort of Feedbacker Effect to its line of Modelers. Previously, I used a Boss DF-2 to get feedback effects. The FreqOut has better features.
    I think it would be relatively easy for Line 6 to design its own Feedbacker Effect. I think a couple other useful features would be a decay setting to control how fast the sound dies down after the footswitch is released. And a parameter to select different types of waveforms for the feedback: natural, sawtooth, square, sine, etc. for added tone shaping Combined with other Effects like Poly Pitch, Whammy, the creative possibilities could be stunning. Thanks

    Great video. I hadn't thought of using it with the Dry off. Cool effect! This is the only pedal I use in the effects loop of my Helix other than a clean boost. I use the VDI connection, so I put the loop at the front of the effects chain.

      Do you use send and return to connect the freqout?

    • @Nicky-T
      @Nicky-T 2 роки тому +1

      @@markhofland1898 That's the only way if I'm using VDI, and that's constant. I haven't used it in a long time now, too much work to lug around and make connections. I've been using Poly Pitch and Harmonizer to simulate. Not as good, but less hassle.

    Getting da Freqout tomorrow... Already own a Helix... Infinite sustain and wild harmonics at the touch of your feet. No need for a guitar with a Sustainiac.

    Jason. Very cool product and video. WOW that beginning INTRO song is AMAZING. Is that on one of your CDs/albums? Love that tone and riff. very cool. Kind of a mix of DiMeola, Rush and Satriani? Keep it up! you ROCK man.

    I'm surprised that the Helix does not have the Freqout effect built in

    Hey Jason! Great vid on the Freqout. Can this perform many of the same functions as the Sustainiac pickup? It would be great to see this pedal used to demo artists/tracks using this effect just to show the application and versatility of the Freqout Pedal. Phil Collen with Def Leppard uses the feedback/sustain effect quite often so it might be worthwhile to demo his use of the effect.

      Not really sure if it would act exactly like a Sustainiac but it is most certainly along those lines. But depending on the setting on the Freqout it will change the pitch of your note.

      +MICHEL RAFFIN if you like to have the ability to generate feedback on demand it is a very nice addition to the pedalboard.

    Hi Jason!
    Have you ever tried to put it in the loop to use with the variax conected by vdi?
    I was thinking on get one to pair with my Helix, but i play with may Variax 90% of the time and i´m afraid it doesn't work well...

    Hello Jason
    Is there an effect in the Helix 3.0, capable of replacing the Digitech Freqout or a Sustainiac

    Hey Man , Question: I have this pedal and helix and it isn't sounding very good at all - very fake. I think the problen is I am running in a signal chain f/x loop after the amp. When you say " front of the amp" are yoo putting a helix loop in the heleix signal chain before the amp or are you plugging into it and tne taking the out from the pedal the Helix ( kinda like an old school signal chain) - thanks

    • @JasonSadites
      @JasonSadites  6 років тому +3

      For this video, I just plugged my guitar straight into the Freqout and then into the guitar input on the Helix. The main reason is that I am away from my studio and did not have enough cables with me to put it in a loop. I am guessing if you do that on then place the Loop block first in the chain it should work the same, but I haven't tried it yet. I plan on it when I get to my studio. I guess you could try it both ways and see if it sounds any better...let me know how it works out...

    • @paulmyfinger
      @paulmyfinger 6 років тому +3

      I've heard that the feedback can just cut off when the input signal drops, Have you had this problem? also if you put a compressor in front of it , it can hold a little bit longer, that said, it still sounds great I think
