There's a common game that many people leave out when talking about 2004, and that is Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines. It came out on the same day as Half Life 2 because of restrictions imposed by valve (VtmB used an alpha version of the source engine). It was mostly buggy, but nowadays it's considered a Cult Classic. It's a game that always finds its way into my PC, no matter how many times I change drives or reinstall Windows, that one was a game changer!

@@Dog.Dad.Studios the game is an amazing RPG, all the choices you can make, the whole concept about vampires and society. I’d really suggest you play it now if you can, just get it off of GoG, cause that version has the latest unofficial patch which fixes all the bugs in the game. I really recommend going in blind, it’s quite the experience.
Following on from my comments about co-op for Allied Assault I have also played Half Life 2 and Doom 3 with my son as both have mods that allow you to do this - he always ends up each section with more hits than I managed but that's not the point it's playing the game together

@@Dog.Dad.Studios The mod for Half Life 2 is called Synergy and it is in the Steam Store. You both need to own the original game. There is also one for Half Life one called Sven co-op rather generously Valve allowed the developer of this use the original game without you having to own the original game - this mod is also in the Steam Store. Enjoy.
I dont wanna make u feel old but i wasnt allowed near a computer nor had a console at the time lol, yet i own some of the games on the list , good games are good games no matter the time
