Howdy Folks! I hope this finds you well! A big thank you for taking the time to watch. I left a thank you message at the end of the video. Welcome to the Zone, it will keep you here : ). I love STALKER with all my heart because the world feels real. From the Factions, to its deep and underground secrets; The Zone is a living thing, and we'll need some knowledge to navigate it. Join me in the history and lore of the zone, while also doing a field trip! Enjoy : ) What are your favorite parts of the zone? Comfy spots? Interesting lore i didn't cover? Let us know down below! All the best, Dog Dad
Cannot wait for the deeper explanation of factions and the mutants :D btw - I am still a newcomer to your subscriber group but great to see another interesting video from you :)
Starting the script on factions as we speak : ) I truly appreciate you taking the time to write your kind words! It makes me smile knowing I’ll see another familiar name! What’s one of your favorite things about the STALKER franchise? All the best, Dog dad
@@Dog.Dad.Studios My favorite thing about STALKER Universe? I would say Lore, gameplay story and atmosphere. No "post-apo nuclear" game in my opinion can really replace simply the atmosphere of the place we are playing on while enjoying our time with Stalker. We have Metro series, Escape from Tarkov, Charnobelite (and we could even name more games with similar vibes) trying to get THIS kind of atmosphere, but none of them can simply beat what Stalker did. Tho call be a bit of a "purist", I love ALL original games mostly unmodded (playing Clear Sky without ANY community patches or mods CAN be enjoyable and fun :D). I love Stalker Anomaly but for what it is, a community upgraded engine, Sandbox of Stalker for all people AND modding canvas for all the skilled and crazy people in the community. But I hate GAMMA. I cannot just stand it... for 2 things. #1 - Gamma is trying to make STALKER into something it was never and never will be... an "Escape from Tarkov wannabe" #2 - the number of people who plays ONLY GAMMA with no respect to original games, which really believes that Stalker 2 will be SOMETHING like Gamma. Lol i cannot wait for their melding and foaming when they will find out that Stalker 2 will have no stupid mechanics like GAMMA has xd
Karti, thank you so much for taking the time to write this, I truly appreciate it and love your candor! Yes, I 1000% percent agree with you that STALKER's atmosphere is unparalleled; I do love certain aspects of those games that you mentioned, but none get close to the "full body" of STALKER. That's amazing, can you pick which one was your most memorable? Yes the modding community is fantastic; and I used gamma for the purposes of this video and the future ones because of the graphical upgrades. I think its important to tell a story with the best visuals, and I try to do that. With the gameplay lens, I completely understand what you're saying and agree with you, GAMMA is tarkov light (I do like messing with the debugger though). #2 I truly do not understand why people want GAMMA right off the bat. Its a mod pack, not even a mod, so thinking that STALKER 2 will right off the bat be close to a random mod pack is hilarious to me. I'm excited to see what they have in-store, and from what I'm hearing in the rumor mills, its looking excellent. Hope this finds you well, and again, I appreciate you taking the time. All the best, Dog Dad
A beautiful video and explanation. It is heartwarming for me as a hardcore fan of the series to see so many people take interest in it after more than a decade long period during which the west has seemingly completely forgotten that these gems exist. Just one nitpick I have (1:30) - It's kinda weird to be talking about how beautiful the games look while using a background video taken in an unofficial mod which changes models, textures and shaders to much higher quality ones. It kinda misrepresents the OG games. Their graphics may be simplistic and gimmicky but they have their own charm. Edit: typo fix
Howdy! Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to write this, I truly appreciate it and I'm glad that the franchise is getting the recognition that it deserves. I understand your view point, and others have expressed that as well. I don't think I can "satiate" each person, and I do want to say that I used GAMMA as the backdrop for this and future videos because of the graphical nature of the modpack showcasing The Zone. What I will do next time, which I didn't in this video, is explicitly say that I'm using the mod pack. (It's easy to grab footage/use of debugger etc). I intended no malice to the previous games, all with their own distinctive graphical style and atmosphere. I thought making the distinction from the actual game and The Zone as a character was enough, but I see it was not. But what's life if not learning from the past, and I'm glad you wrote about it like some others did on reddit. Thank you again for taking the time to comment this. It means you care, and people care, at the end of the day, having that dialogue and caring about similar interests is what life should be about. I hope this finds you well! All the best, Dog Dad
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this! I’ll be waiting for stalker 2 since I’m sure we’ll be able to get to new labs, and find connections with old ones. Definitely coming though : ) Hope all is well!
You evoke happiness with your kind words, thank you. I’m starting to get the rhythm down more and more. Each video will get better, and it couldn’t be done without people like you giving the good energy out. I truly appreciate it and would highly recommend the games, they are on steam ( should go on sale soon too). Hope all is well! All the best, Dog Dad
A roadside picnic and the movie Stalker? I watched the film and it was interesting at points, there is some cinematography that was absolutely fantastic like the car going on the tracks. I have a physical copy of the book but haven’t read it. How about you? And if so what were your favorite parts?
@@Dog.Dad.Studios Awesome! Thanks for the reply. The movie is definitely beautiful, and I like the philosophical approach as to how a wish granting thing would shape the world. The book is great, but very different from the movie. It's very main character driven and shows much more of the world inside and out of the zone. I like this version of the zone the best, because it seems the most dangerous/alien (literally) version, as it's only limited by your minds eye. It shows how dangerous work as a stalker is and how desperate the people are who enter the zone
I appreciate it! Is your profile picture the fallout character from one of the first two games? Ahaha regardless thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! Hope all is well!
Starting to get the feel of the equilibrium between ideas, script, acting and editing. Thank you so much for being there every step. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to write. It gave me the confidence when times were down. I hope all is well!
Does GAMMA change much about the timeline of events? Maybe i'm remembering things wrong, but the order of events you put into this video feels kinda off somehow. I'm currently replaying the original trilogy on Switch, so i'll see how it fits over the next weeks.
Gamma complies certain missions but I believe their story is all made up. Like for the usual factions, you meet up with Doc at first, which is something you don’t do in any of the trilogy.

playing through SOC with Gunslinger Addition (i just wanted animations for food and drinks and this is the purest vanilla SOC mod pack with those.)
That’s awesome!!
Have you read the book or watched the movie? Definite classics
