Hey @Zizaran, thanks for the University series, has been a great recap of all the basics. If I may suggest a topic, i'm playing POE since Metamorph league and every time i'm getting better and pushing higher on my progression. Since Harvest i can clear T16 easily, but when i see people doing like t16+ 100% delirium + beyond maps, there is a gap between the builds that can clear a t16 map and this kind of content ("Real" endgame ?). How can i push a build to this kind of content? Is it a meta only like aura stackers? Maybe it's a good topic for an University video ...

"What are maps?" But you didnt answer your own question. A MAP, is an item that allows you to enter a new zone.
You skip straight from "What are maps?" To "Theyre a piece of endgame that you ROOLL" Literally emphasizing a dot that you havent connected any lines to. Teaching Is a skill ziz, entirely separate from the subject or skill that your covering. You have to have both. And the way you achieve that is imagine that teaching, is playing connect the dots. You plot the dots with your words, but you still need to make sure the student can and has connected them. The real skill in teaching is making sure a student is connecting all the dots as you go. Words need to be well chosen, even if slow.

@@icarlos1970 The schooling theme is more metaphorical than literal but nice attempt to dismiss people with a valid point just because you either missed the point or dismiss it out of ignorance, not sure which but I like to think you just honestly didnt recognize the value in it. Thats excusable.
Gotta admit, I wasn't expecting this series to take off because I felt newer players wouldn't make it past two minutes in and veteran players wouldn't see the value in it. However, much to my own enjoyment, I was proven very wrong. Each episode has at least something for everyone and it is amazing to me how little I understood about mechanics I felt I knew so much about! Thank you so much to each of you involved in the making of these videos. I love how dorky and inviting our community is :)
I think it's because such a small percentage ever make it to late game. But they see the crazy gameplay videos and how popular the game's gotten and people want to experience that. Hence why they are willing to sit through 10+ hours of lectures. Good decision, these videos condense 100's of hours of hard learned experience.
Started playing PoE several times over the last 4 years but never reached Act III. The first 3 Uni vids gave me enough info to now reach lvl 55 and Act VII with only 2 death in softcore. Havent touched trading yet though. Love the crafting.

@@falxgod6848 I made it through to the endgame on my first playthrough with ironman rules. (no trading, Legion league) The only thing preventing me from continuing to grind for gear to clear Tier 1-5 maps was lag which in the case of that glass cannon build just made it unplayable.
So it's definitely feasible to reach if not a bit tedious to drag myself through the story mode for everytime in challenge leagues. I suspected there to be many items featured in this league which wouldn't be available outside trading after it's over, which is why I chose to play the Ritual league to hopefully score them.
Not even two minutes in and I learned something! Had no idea you could resize the map device! Thanks Professor Ziz!

I understand every mechanic on an individual basis but when they all interact my brain just melts.
Never knew that you could change/force the maps you want in the 3-1 recipe... and I've been playing since 2013! Lmao.

An interesting aside for anyone still learning: the map combination/internal ID thing also applies to other recipes. Most notably, two-stone rings and their combination of prismatic ring. So when you're making prismatic rings you want to shuffle your rings just like you do with your maps here to make sure you get the maximum 10% resist all.

Quick note on the large and small map device.
The first one that Kirac sets up has a blue underglow ,the moment you change it you lose that version forever.*Do not scroll * if you want to keep that variation.
It's just for the people who enjoy hideout creation.

thanks a lot for the video! so, the general idea is that all missions are better to do on map levels 5, 10 and 16? would you recommend to not do missions on lower ones? what if I don't play enough to spend all of them and/or I don't have enough 5,10,16 maps? are there ones that I really should try to save for 5,10,16 maps?

Currently, maps start to drop in Act 7 after the completion of Maligario's Map quest using the Map device in Chamber of Sins Level 1
Yeah pretty sure he meant you can loot maps as early as ACT 7 not tier 7. As tier 7 zones are maps themselves
I know you just did this map video and are usually busy which is why i always support your twitch when i can. but any chance at some point you can do a Map video like you did the league mechanics video. Where you list all the patches that changed map mechanics in a big or decent way and explain those mechanics separately, all of it together is kind of boggling as the short few months i missed it seems the atlas literally became a who new world. I think it would be easier for newer or returning players digesting all the changes if they can take them in seperatly in parts of the video as updates. If you think it will help you as well thumbs up this comment, so he knows whether it would be worth it for him too or not.
Be aware, it's not just by opening maps that Zana resets .. you have to open the map with the Zana master mission active. Notice where Ziz clicks at ua-cam.com/video/RNi84sc-SbQ/v-deo.html (27:49). Note this will decrease Zana's master mission counter ... so be careful you don't run out of master missions by accident.
when you complete a mission for her, does the level of the map determine what maps she refreshes with? or does it have to do with you map completion??
i think its more like the general state of your atlas... but i dont know
Afaik it depends on the type of mission you used (white, yellow, red)
how do you highlight the map mod explanations being done here ?
Press alt when hovering over a map.
You probably need to turn on advanced mod descriptions in UI options aswell :)

and still i'am sitting here dont know how to safely progress through the atlas with the watchstones, the last 2 or 3 times i tried i maneuvered myself into a dead end.
got to the yellow maps, setted the first 2 or 3 watchstones, but afterwards i couldnt progress any further and dropped back to ~t3/t4 maps...

the vall fragment don't increase the probability of a vaal area in the map ?
I don't think so. However, I think running corrupted maps increases chance for vaal side areas. And I know corrupted maps increase chance of vaal orb/fragments to drop from boss.

Ah, the atlas, the major weak spot in my playing. Is some of this null with the new atlas makeover?
Most of the Atlas function will be the same by looks of the announcement. New, the Atlas Skill zone trees add functionality to the watchstones are socketed
Looks like everything here is unchanged. There is a new system related to the Maven encounters in addition to everything here.

I'm level 70 and I'm loosing more and more interest in this game the more i realize how complicated it is. I love complexity but this is waay too much imo.
It doesn’t have to be! Even simple players like me can make steady progress and profit without having to fill our brains with overload, you don’t NEED to do everything to get where you want to be in the game, don’t let it put you off!

2:40 wtf is "you find maps as early as tier 7" supposed to mean? LIke either I can't hear what your saying (twice) or you're making no sense. You find maps during the later parts of the campaign. Pretty sure anything after and including Blood Aqueducts should work.

Can you give me some examples of where you end up confused. I think its harder for people that understand certain mechanics to make guides since its from their perspective. Id love to get more insight on what part of this video got confusing.
This Game is Great till you hit maps and trying to figure out the ATLAS.
It's just repetitive and BORING.
