I had major issues with heists because it splits the game in two (i feel anyway). As an average/above average gamer (25+ hours weekly), I feel like you choose to persue a single endgame if you want to do heist. That wasn't a HUGE deal with Heist league, as Harvest didn't go core until now and the Atlas was stale. But given how AMAZING the Atlas feels right now, and how profitable it can be (2-3ex an hour in harvest crafts alone, not counting essences/whatever else), I think you'd be nuts to be doing Heist right now. To each their own though. If Heist is what people enjoy, have at it. I know people who still farm Betrayal 24/7 every league /shrug
@@Excaliber158 I farm betrayal Q_Q....People buy my benches its a good side income especially once you finished setting up your board and now with the +1 guaranteed. which was the slowest part.
One more thing: Increased item quantity and rarity from your gear doesn't do anything for heists. Only heist gear affects the loot in here so getting brooches and trinkets is the most important thing to do if you want to maximize your heist loots. This also means that you don't have to skimp your build for iiq so you can go ahead and use your strongest gear.
Extra tips. Revealing an entire wing can cost significantly less then revealing the rooms one by one specially the first extra wing. Discount can be close to 5k-10k. You also get to reveal 8-9 rooms and it only ever uses 6 reveals. Low on blue prints high on rogue markers the first room being fully revealed can be great for increasing total profits.
At first i actually thought you could only do 1 wing per grand heist maximum but i didn't realised that the alert level was for each independant wing. Learning more everyday, thank you Ziz keep up the good content!
as an experienced heist player who is good at maths down to the very last chrome orb I can tell you that the comments on here saying contracts are trash are a little out dated and misinformed. The trouble with contracts is people do not put a value on reveals. The reveal at the end of a contract is a point you can spend on a grand heists to reveal icons on the blueprints which is an investment. That investment is not free it cost you time and effort to farm, that reveal point is worth a value. That value is 5c, when you take this into consideration mindless spamming contracts become very good profit. That means every contract you run with Gianna gives you 10c in reveal value (sometimes 15c when she procs if you have rogue gear with extra chance for reveal), the run cost on trade league for doing a contract is from 2 to 4c if you buy from discord tft. So the reveal alone has made you profit if you know how to use it correctly. Not only do you profit from the reveals you gain a net positive rogue market profit from running moderate value contracts. Running blueprints does increase profits however we can no longer fracture to keep reveals on blueprints but we can beast split good blueprints to keep the good icons. So the smartest play is to use split beasts on a very nice Blueprint which has the best icon proft and rogue setup then you reveal only what is value to you as the reveal cost to you is 5c per click + rogue marker cost. If you assign a value to the run cost in this method you will find that a grand heist can cost you up to 200c to produce a blueprint worthy to run but it will produce profit in the range of 25-50c per run. The safer low risk strat this league is to buy cheap blueprints with any rolls from discord or trade and reveal just a couple of rooms and icons which feel they have value and if you consider that the reveal point cost you 5c per icon you want that blueprint to produce you 50c profit after adding up all the reveals you used. Both strats do produce very good profit I made a headhunter on trade league in 3 days farming them this late into league.
So, I just used some of the methodology of this video and made my first serious grand heist... first room I opened with Karst... 3 exalted shards. I've literally only gotten one since playing this game ever. Holy crap. Thanks Ziz for some guidance on this!!!!!!
Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one that loves Heist. I don't really care about the door stuff and it goes faster the more you play anyway. Stupid profitable and easy to target farm what you need in SSF. It feels like fixed Betrayal so I hope we get more designs like this going forward. Thanks for the video. Some useful tips in there.
On softcore you can just go out and back in again before taking the last item so you won't lose everything on death. Kinda stupid, but 30 sec to backtrack is worth it if you got something good.
Realized today after a couple years that I haven’t subbed to you, how have I overlooked that? Appreciate the helpful content and am great full you’re in the PoE community.
hiest could be 10x more profitable than everything else, and I still wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. It's the first league I ever quit because of the league itself (the only other league I quit was legion, but thats because my computer died, and was unable to be repaired until I no longer had the time to actively play the league)
@@Valaryant. many reasons. Different people have different reasons. Boring. Laggy. Tedious to level the rogues and gear them. But if you're playing ssf, it's actually not that bad. You have a definite way of making good currency for crafting when you're low. Just run a few heists, and you'll have some more scours or alchs. Or chaos even. *Protip:* On Grand Heists you can exit between Wings through the portal to drop off stuff in your Stash and go back in. And if you get something extremely valuable you can exit before triggering the alarm/lockdown and still go back in, the moment you exit those items are no longer contraband so you won't lose them on death.
Fucking love you Ziz. I have been avoiding Heist for the majority of this entire league and you explaining how it all works has got me interested in trying it again!
Pro-tips for new heist players: you will be leveling multiple heist characters at the same time and they have overlap on skills. Try to not level characters with lower level 1 heists if you have higher level heists for them to level on. You will be needing the lower level ones for other characters. I also found it worthwhile to wait to run lower level regular heists until you find the green quest heists to unlock more characters in order to level them as you want, and so the heists are easier/faster.
the one thing missing, .. always at least make those gear items for your buddies magic .. if not rare .. the buffs make your heists cheaper, more rewarding, finish faster, the fights easyer etc .. using a regular item for yor buddies in crime is ... kinda pointless (not to speak of leaving slots open)
there are some things i did or noticed during heists: On gear i always focused reduced alert level then increased time before lockdown and lastly reduced marker costs (travelling fee, hiring fee) ofc. you try to get chance to duplicate currency on brooches tho.. Another thing: if you get a +1 all skills on nenet she also has counter thaumaturgy at level 5 which makes niles irrelevant (since i consider him the weakest of the 9 besides huck) and lets you open all chests in grand heists more consistently. also getting a masters main skill to level 6 (or even 7) you get an upgrade to their passive which is nice but hard to roll for sometimes.
The cheat shit forgot to mention that Trap Disarment on lvl5 is from Venderi... wich has 2 skills to lvl5 :V Also, is good to know that, while you are on the countdown to get the alarm, you still can open the final reward (that will trigget the alarm) or open any other box (that will reduce the countdown timer) so sometimes even when the bar is almost full you can try checking the reward you are going to pick and then go back and grab some smallers chest, then run to pick your heist reward.
I took contracts and coins off my SSF filter a couple of days into 3.13 and haven't looked back. Running Heists and managing rogues feels terrible. Still watching the video for some reason.
Not sure if just my builds or what, but lvl 70 or so heists seem more rippy than lvl 70 any other content in the game. And it's not consistently rippy either. I've been able to facetank on some heists with difficult modifiers, and yet get pretty much one shot in other heists with not that difficult modifiers and this is with very little gaps if any in defense (capped all res, fortify, high enough armor for 80% mitigation without flasks, and some block/dodge). The random death rate in a lvl 70 heist for me is about as high as in a rare influenced red maps, which just seems off to me.
The issue is being able to delve +500 unless you have a specific char. I love both heist and delve a bit here and there when I'm tired of farming Sirus

Heist is cool, but I hate it, at least on console. Used almost all my markers and reveals to build up a super juicy 4 wing grand heist. Was in the first wing when my new Xbox series X crashed (do NOT buy one if these yet, crashes daily). Returned to POE and found I had lost the entire blueprint.... and all this was AFTER I had encountered an “invisible” monster in one of the rooms (which from your video I think may have been a trap) which shot out blobs of green gunk which in the small room was unavoidable and instant kill.
