Small Asphalt Shingles Ridge Cap Roofing Repair - Terminating Ridge Shingles

Terminating ridge shingles More storm damage from Hurricane Irma. This ridge just had 8 shingles missing. Tied the shingles in just like if it was starting from scratch. This video also shows a termination of the ridge.

What does terminating ridge shingles mean?

Where the ridge shingles will have to end. You don't just want to run them into the valley. Usually you will start in the valley, and work outwards, and also start on the hip to hip to ridge transition, then they have to come together at some point.

I usually only put 4 nails in high profile ridge capping, but i used to always put 4 nails for every cap but thats because i used to live in a windier place than i do now
