This Cantonese-style dish is a household favorite, and with options like squid, chicken, and tofu, it's versatile too. Ingredients (serves 4)🥢 🥢
Pork riblets, about 1 kilogram (approximately 2.2 pounds)
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Mirin (rice wine)
2 teaspoons sugar or stevia
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice
For seasoning salt:
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon five spice powder
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
1 cup potato starch in total
2 tablespoons cooking oil (for sautéing aromatics)
Aromatics:
Minced garlic
Green onions
Optional: Coriander/cilantro
Optional: Ginger
Bird's eye or Thai chilies
