When I was young, and complained about my mother's cooking, she did the best thing ever....she taught me about cooking and how to do it. Once I saw the work it took to do it, I never complained again, I just ate the food, did not like it, but loved the love that Mom put into it.
i wish my mom taught me something. anything. i still can't make eggs, pancakes. but i can make this. i taught myself. i have UA-cam helping me now and i'm an old ass chica.
The secret is to not let them see how you’re cooking the food, because once they see what you put in it they always complain what they don’t like when they been eating it the whole time 🥰✌🏽
Yep absolutely so true!! My daughter will not eat one seasoning except salt😂😂 no sauces either!! She is just bland and idk how it happened! So when I cook dinner I always make one piece of chicken with nothing on it at all. She don’t even want color to her food😂😂 so I just always set a little bit of all the sides to the side because it really isn’t too bad because all I have to do is literally just cook it through so it is less steps to do than when I’m making anything else less hassle less tears and everyone goes to bed full❤❤
I'm watching this because my husband is picky about homefries...sometimes he likes it and sometimes he doesn't. My cooking usually is revolved around my husband's liking. Children not so picky, Thank God I was raised to eat whatever is made even if it was the same meal. I do believe it's better to be thankful you have a meal because there are people starving out there.
Awesome videography and detailing Home Chef. As some of us were raised to eat what was prepared for us and be grateful, adding some cheese and Ketchup may elevate the taste to your children’s palate. I love bell peppers but was never a fan of green peppers 🫑 until lately I saw some in the store and thought to incorporate along some bell peppers in a omelette and it was amazing. I’m making these this morning with eggs and Turkey Sausage
I, too, love potatoes😋 These look amazing so I will have to try these soon. I remember my mom saying "You at least have to try it". If we didn't like it she would make something else.
This video was very interesting because I use to cook separate meals but like you said it's very time consuming so now for me I like if they eat fine if not Oh well 😂. I absolutely enjoyed your video.
Loved it thank you for the video. And no I do not make two separate dishes. For my husband I cut things extra small and don’t let him see what I put in the food he will say he doesn’t like onions yet I put onions in everything lol. My kids sometimes when the food is done cooking I will separate them some on the side before adding the other ingredients that they do not like.
In our home, we eat what momma serves at the dinner table. I make note of understanding my kids not liking veggies and my husband not liking too much garlic. I meet down the middle, i use garlic but not too much and the veggies for my kiddo ive noticed that if theyre grilled or sateed they will enjoy them abit more. But to put my two cents in😅 i tell the family that, thats for dinner😌
I usually make my breakfast fried potatoes with cooked potatoes leftover from the night before. It's a lot faster and they fry crispier when they start out cold from the fridge. Also, I usually keep a homemade Cajun spice blend (without preservatives or chemical flavorings) on hand for dishes like this. Most of the spices you put in are already in the Cajun blend, so it's faster for the cook. I don't think it's fair to cook only for my husband's tastes, so I try to compromise. For example, one night I'll make something I know he likes even if I don't particularly like it, and another night I will make something I'm craving. If he doesn't like it, he doesn't have to eat it. But he'll usually try it first. I don't have kids, so I don't know what I'd do in that case. I don't see myself making two separate meals, but I know kids can be picky and you want them to eat something.
These are really good. I like to put cut up sausage or bacon with them inside a tortilla and make a breakfast burrito. Pour a little hot sauce on there and it’s 🔥🔥🔥.
An excellent food idea that helps us diversify our menu! A colorful dessert, to my taste, easy to make, quick and absolutely delicious! Looking forward to your next video. I wish you a wonderful day.
My husband is very picky and he doesn't eat most of the stuff, so I just make what he likes to eat and I just eat that, and no I don't make two dishes but once in a while I do if m craving bad enough for carbs! 😂 I love Rice, and by Rice I mean Chicken Biryani or Mutton biryani! you should make a video
It's good to try different approaches..U can warm potatoes in the Microwave for a min.. Sometimes I'll cook some Onions&Peppers first, then add the Potatoes& then the rest of the O&P..I might add a Splash of Hot Sauce& Ketchup or even Salsa..( they all taste good) with ur Eggs,Bacon or Steak..And then ur full for the day..
😂 my daughter is 12 now she’s a little Picky so usually I’ll remove a Portion for her , like if I make Chicken parm - before adding sauce and cheese which she doesn’t like on her chicken I’ll have her pieces set aside but most other meals she doesn’t mind and She’ll just pick out certain ingredients 😭 my son is 16 and he loves To try everything I make 🙌🏼
Children or wife that only likes the basic? Yep, you make two batches bc that’s the only way to get your preferred product. I can’t tell you how many times I had to remove their plates (9 & 11 years old + 39 years old…they just would eat it even with the try once rule, they didn’t dig it). So that’s what you have to do. Good part is you get your portion you want and you get it your way every time but at the end which is great…no one can say anything, you did all the work…so in my case that means my wife takes both kids to school. Look for those opportunities! Seriously, you can make it work in your favor and especially in your FLAVOR! Hehe 😉
My husband does not like onion bell peppers or mushrooms and I’ve even tried to use onion powder and the negro still Taste it lol so I end up always cooking two separate dishes 😩
I do the one dish n if they don't eat it then they dont.. but I try to compromise like when making spaghetti my sista don't like the sauce so if I remember I put some chop meat n noodles to the side then ill add the sauce...
I don't make two separate dish I'll make one full dish and I'll separate a portion of it for whoever don't like what like my daughter used to like spaghetti noodles but not the sauce so I would make spaghetti and I would just separate the noodles before I put the sauce on
I say if you don’t eat your vegetables that’s inside his food you don’t get a snack or I might let them choose a different food or I might tell my kids if they don’t eat vegetables now they gonna start Eating vegetables every day for food lol

Gurr, you had me rolling over here..."Walmart." I can't wait to make this version, that looks delish.

Gonna try this. Thanks for sharing 😋
Yum yum..😘
PREPARE ONE DISH IF FAMILY MEMBERS DON'T LIKE THEY DON'T HAVE TO EAT, DO NOT CATER AND MAKE MORE WORK FOR YOURSELF.
No! I just cook one dish. My granddaughter have no complaints. She is always happy and ready to eat.
Yes!!! Nana making that good food😁♥️
I usually make two separate meals but I think not letting them in the kitchen when I’m cooking will solve that issue
Thanks!!!
The answer is simple. Wait untill your fighting anyway, then just make them the way you like em😊😊❤
One dish, eat or weep. Just like when I was a kid.
Yes; I make two separate dishes it's just easier; everyones happy! - even myself🙂

Looks good. I used to cook separately. Now all my boy’s are older they it or they can cook themselves 😬
Publix got the best carts in the game 😂
😂Yep!
I do one dish that accommodates the majority. I like bell pepper and onion but no one else does, so I only add onion
Melted some shredded cheese on mine 💪🏾
......thank you....
what oil did you use
Canola
Today is the day I am finally going to stop buying home fries from my local store.. This was easy thank you.
You're welcome❤

I do both🤣
Hi looks delightful but how do I get the recipe to make it thanks
3 to 4 idaho potatoes cut in cubes
1/2 red pepper
1/2 green pepper
1 onion sliced
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
salt & pepper to taste
Many thanks I’ve looked in a few places but couldn’t find it but I am getting old lol
I only cook one dish BUT sometimes I leave out the ingredient they don't like and sometimes I add it in. Compromise. lol
My husband does not like onion bell peppers or mushrooms and I’ve even tried to use onion powder and the negro still
Taste it lol so I end up always cooking two separate dishes 😩
I do the one dish n if they don't eat it then they dont.. but I try to compromise like when making spaghetti my sista don't like the sauce so if I remember I put some chop meat n noodles to the side then ill add the sauce...
Hi make one dish everybody for their self...
Cook it. If they don't like it, don't eat it.
I cook for 9 people. You get it one way and ya better learn to like it. Can't be a short order cook. Too many people.
I don't make two separate dish I'll make one full dish and I'll separate a portion of it for whoever don't like what like my daughter used to like spaghetti noodles but not the sauce so I would make spaghetti and I would just separate the noodles before I put the sauce on
Make one dish and they need to learn to expand their comfort zone. In the long run they will be better off.
what is total cooking time
about 10-15 minutes....
I say if you don’t eat your vegetables that’s inside his food you don’t get a snack or I might let them choose a different food or I might tell my kids if they don’t eat vegetables now they gonna start Eating vegetables every day for food lol
Nope. They eat it or don't. It's a recession out here.
😂
People who don't make two separate dishes to accommodate others are selfish narcissists.
I would have took his out before putting in the veggies.
No I just stop cooking all the time
Only for medical purpose
Just get a new husband😅😅😅
