In 2021 PC Lee Blaney attended a fatal collision on the A1(M) at Bowburn caused by a driver using his mobile phone. Last week he pulled over another driver in the same spot, for the same offence….
Don’t be that killer driver - just put your mobile phone away.

Phone driving should be treated the same as drunk driving. Instant 12 month ban. No excuses, no exceptions.

The message cannot stop being drummed into people. Distracted driving kills.

Keep at it folks, your work is highly valued by those of us who just get in a car to drive somewhere, not to do 4 other things along the way!

Anyone who thinks this is harsh needs to watch Durham Constabulary's video of the horrendous crash the officer was talking about. Listen to the people who were there, the grieving relatives and even the driver responsible sitting in prison, in tears, expressing his sorrow. It's a shattering video.

Your officers are doing a fantastic job catching distracted drivers. We have the same problem over in Canada 🇨🇦. People only get a fine here, but they should have points taken off their license. Have a great day ❤️🙂⚘️🚔.

All of you do an incredible job. I and my partner occasionally get stopped as part of your routine checks and we never mind one bit; if getting that drunk driver or unsafe vehicle off the road may save even 1 life, I can spare 2 minutes.

Despite the large fines & significant points, it's still a huge problem here in Oz! 😠

Great work from this guy, shame Lincolnshire police don't do this more often, it's like the wild west of drivers in Lincolnshire.

My wife made a right of access request to West Yorkshire police for body cam footage of a phone call she had from an officer, when it eventually came we watched and listened to the call , yep you guessed it he was driving at the time while talking on his phone , steering with one hand and holding his phone with the other, even dropping the phone at one point then picking it up to continue the call

Guy in the red car should’ve been done for his number plate too, so dirty you can’t see the registration….

  • @paulallenMacca

I think more should be done about these mobile phone drivers I see them every day we need stiffer penalties £1000 fine and 9 points.

  • @NAGZE

    Use bluetooth 😮

  • @badabing8884

Sadly there are just not enough police or cameras to catch these mobile phone drivers. Rather than just rely on the public submitting footage, there needs to be more AI cameras on the roads I am afraid because there are just too many who will not listen to this message and think they will get away with it.

Your too soft policemen/woman they carry on using it regardless, you can park up on any street an watch the traffic pass you an all you see are people using there phone,so i would say ban em its a criminal offence to use your phone, ban em for a year an nake them no you mean buisness
