can't blame the magistrates when they are directed by central government to keep people out of prison because there's no space. There's no space due to increasing population and criminal gangs coming into the country.
By let you down, you mean the state failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt . The courts and police do not and should not be working in tandem.
It depends on the charge, the evidence and the legal advisor. 99% of Magistrates hold *NO* legal qualifications. They act as a sock puppet for a legal advisor and not all of them hold a degree in criminal law either. That is important for the public to understand as it leads to emotion being introduced in to decision making, not evidence solely - so always challenge decisions - even CPS can appeal against lenient sentences. When someone appears before a Magistrate or 3, they are UNPAID busybody type volunteers with nothing else to do, or some have an axe to grind and love certain cases or protect certain areas. The Legal Advisor on anything between £28,000 and £60,000 a year depending on qualification, makes ALL the decisions and tells the Magistrates what to say when they adjourn. The Magistrates then repeat what they are told and that is the end of the hearing. They don't even decide the sentence. They sit about having a chat, have lunch and go back home. We could do away with Magistrates as they don't do anything or perform any real function and Judges refuse to deal with them or associate with them before any proceedings, they will not even dine in the same area. They don't think they have a purpose either.
“Not all of them hold a degree in criminal law” - according to your previous statement, “99% of Magistrates hold *NO* legal qualifications”, so what percentage of “not all” do you actually mean when you refer to a specific legal qualification, ie a Degree in Criminal Law? Also, if Magistrates don’t decide the guilt or the sentence, what do they adjourn for? What is your source for the utter nonsense you’re talking about? Personally, I think it’s your ar$e - it certainly isn’t anything related to how a Magistrate’s Court works.
I suspect you'll find he's largely correct in what he says; magistrates are indeed frequently very ignorant of the law, its extents and limitations. It is undeniably and unfortunately true too, that many of them simply covet the title of being a magistrate for the perceived social standing they hope it will afford them among their friends, rather than it being motivated by any well-intentioned desire, personal ability - or as is frequently the case - even remotely relevant qualifications to enable them to be any use at presiding over and meting out justice. Arguing against the preceding poster by falaciously cherry-picking a percentage he mentioned, when said percentage was very clearly being used as a common axiom with no intention it should be taken as a statistic to be analysed, serves to highlight the inadequacy of your opinions on this matter, but ironically enough, is exactly the kind of inadequate judgement and thought processing which the previous poster was pointing out occurs with a lot of magistrates, so it seems hardly surprising you present yourself as siding with them in spite of the obvious flaws they are prone to. So just to clarify; being a pedantic straw-manning twat, is not a qualification, legal or otherwise.@@The.Doctor.6149

My Dad was in the Police for 25 years through the 60's-80's, he told me about this one boy who went around acting the hard man, causing a nuisance, robbing places, harassing Grannies, beating folk up on the street, abusing the Police...etc. Well, my Dad arrested him one night, caught him red handed, he had the boys arm right up his back, face in the dirt. He said the guy actually started crying, asking for his Mum, snot streaming from his nose, as he got lifted off the deck, he pissed himself. He ended up getting time, i can't recall how much, probably a few months. Anyway, my Dad met him many years later, after my Dad had retired. What is the point in a suspended sentence? He knows he got away with it, and it sends a message to all the other scallies that they will get loads of chances too!
How long is the sentence suspended for? If this guy does anything where the police get involved during that period he'll got to jail for these earlier offences too, so he's not "got away with it". The prisons are almost full right now, and courts have been asked to avoid sending people down where it can be avoided.
It must be so frustrating when you catch these idiots, only for the courts to give them a slap on the wrist. What difference does it make if he's disqualified from driving. He didn't have a licence or insurance in the first place.
Well, the comments sure are negative on this video. As an American though, I think that any amount of time that a nuisance is off of the streets, its a win. If the cops are going to get crap for "not doing anything".....then good on them for doing something, even if the courts wont back their decisions, its still part of an honest days work. For that, we should be grateful. Also, people get reckless like that because they never have anyone step up and put them in their place. Sure, he might have got a slap on the wrist. But does he care so little that he will just go and do it again? Probably. You can be sure that he will have that nagging feeling in the back of his mind that when he acts up he might have to go through that again, and it does temper some peoples spirit just enough to prevent acting up in certain ways. The ones that keep at it will either lose the game or learn and adapt and find better ways to not get caught. That by itself would actually be better than not giving the slap on the wrist. How much would he be fined for something like that over there?
@tommywolfe2706 From the video description: He admitted the offences and appeared at Teesside Crown Court last Friday (November 10) where he was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for 24 months. He was also disqualified from driving for two years, must complete 200 hours of unpaid work, and pay £100 compensation.
Don't forget, criminals learn quickly what their rights are and how to avoid prosecution by technicalities and then go on to punish the taxpayer by getting paid out when their solicitor, paid for by us, takes a civil claim. He probably said that as an introduction and then did the formalities by the book a bit later. Imagine if he had tripped and banged his head on the van.
Old timer policing should be brought back. I remember as a kid we were hanging about with the local scroat, we weren't scroats, but he was. The local beat bobby came up, the scroat must have done something. Bobby took him to one side and gave him a few slaps about it. The do gooders will all point out that the scroat remained a scroat, but what no 'data' will ever show is that those of us that saw that on that day went on to never commit a crime in our lives. I regard that as a fork in the road and we all went on to lead peaceful law abiding lives.
@@bravo2966I fully agree, but to play devils advocate and to quote the great MLK: One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. He gets all that anyway and got a suspended sentence the only inconvenience to him was having to get up before 11am one day to attend court
He didn't go to prison 😂
Calling this guy a biker is an insult to the rest of us 😢
Our justice system is pathetic.
There is no such thing as justice..
Yeah, pathetic, too strong, police have too many powers.
@@leavemyrightsalone Correct, you experience the justice 'system'.
@@secondchance6603 justice system? don't make me laugh. It's a con. LUCIFER runs the whole show. Jury's are just people bitter and clueless. The filme 12 angry men shows this.
@@secondchance6603 Correction:0 ''Injustice system''
Bet he was released from court the following day? Useless courts.
He's just the sort who will be found in a wheelie at ambient temperature some point in the future.
The guy must have been a right pain in the proverbial if the police have produced an entire video to basically mock him.
What is the point in a suspended sentence?
He knows he got away with it, and it sends a message to all the other scallies that they will get loads of chances too!
He didn't? Why jail him? he harmed nobody?
Our prisons are currently filled beyond capacity with the rest of the world's detritus.
@@coolboy5428 You're not REALLY that stupid.
Or are you?
@@coolboy5428For being a dickhead waster.
How long is the sentence suspended for? If this guy does anything where the police get involved during that period he'll got to jail for these earlier offences too, so he's not "got away with it". The prisons are almost full right now, and courts have been asked to avoid sending people down where it can be avoided.
That will never be a credit to regularly organised society.
What an absolute whopper. Ever so kind of him to document all his behavior's though, made your job extremely easy
Excellent work / approach. Give that officer a raise.
'Your nicked' its like 1970s Sweeney all over again
Epic work! I love these types of justice videos! 😎👍
With a name like KANE he's cursed from the start. We'll be hearing more about him, over and over.
He was cursed the moment he was born.
In my day it was Gary. Then, teaching brickwork, we had three Ashley's in the same class. All twats.
Maybe he has a nice middle name he could go by??
@@Steve_Sharpe There's a worst name than Kane and its Dwyane.
@@waynemongo "Kray" perhaps ?
The guy who arrested him deserves a Pride of Britain Award
Could the Durham Constabulary please send some officers to London, to show the metropolitan police how to do the job properly.
The rainbow painted Met Police debating whether or not to arrest: "shall we, shan't we, yes we won't. Let's dance the Macarena instead".
@@user-yl1xy5eg7b the guy was riding a moped without a helmet and you're acting like we just got the biggest criminal in the UK of the streets LMFAO

Yet when two chavs collided with my car on 2 separate occasions with CCTV evidence, the police did nothing about it.
Thanks PC Paul Foley for spending the time to bring this fool to justice
It must be so frustrating when you catch these idiots, only for the courts to give them a slap on the wrist. What difference does it make if he's disqualified from driving. He didn't have a licence or insurance in the first place.
Lads on Girly scooters 🤣🤣
So he's basically got a slap on the wrist
More like a tickle under the chin
“You’re nicked sunshine” 😂 Seeing coppers doing their jobs warms the cockles.
A new meme right there
Accountability is like kryptonite to these antisocial clowns .😂 Documenting your own criminality takes a certain kind of stupid .
Because they have this warped idea that it's something clever to boast about lol

‘You’re nicked!’ Marvellous.
God gave him a face matching his personality.

Was that Darlington?. The police officer needs to be backed up by the courts 😕
I thought the same it does look like darlo
Darlington High Row, Park Lane where it crosses Smithfield Road, Sainsbury's on Victoria Road. Definitely Darlo.
It is darlo
Yup. Darlo.
Your videos are probanly the best police videos, good and funny editing!
Mizzy has done worse stuff and he gets away with it because his black.
Who is Mizzy? is that the singer from America that was bullying colleagues last year?
He's like a side character on Teesside Tin Tin 😂
Refreshing to see a copper these days doing the job properly, using the true caution " Your nicked." Respect lad, from an old timer 😂
The deadpan delivery of that "Okiedokie you're nicked" absolute gold.
🇬🇧 Well done officer. Same respect from another old timer!
Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. Any law that uplifts human personality is just. Any law that degrades human personality is unjust.
1:15 first time I've ever heard "Ar you takin a piss?!" outside of movies and it was hilarious! LMAO

Keep up the great work . These "influencers" need shutting down .
So glad I live in a rural area and do not have to socialise with people like that, walks in the countryside with the dogs and no sight of anyone. Blessed
Lovely!
Do you think that his parents are "very closely related"? 🤣🤣🤣
I don't believe what I've just seen.
The police actually doing their job for once...
because he was not a "protected" class 🤣

Well done to that Officer. I ride bikes and hate this kind of behavior by this kind of numpty. They need to meet some of the lads with patches on their backs.
Nice one Harry. Appropriate use of the term "numpty". 👍 I was thinking of wazzock. ✌️

Nice work!.... however, I was chuffed when I read "12 months in prison".... only to be disappointed with the following words: "suspended for 24 months" !!...
Ffs... yet another fail by the weak courts!.... what a suprise!...
Didn't read him his rights when you arrested him= you gave him a free ticket.
More useless policing
Do these people not realise if they want to have nice things in life, all they and many other working class people have, is their hands and if lucky their hands and brain! The other way? Than you to all Police officers.
Sounds like you were at the back of the queue for brains. But you managed to type a sentence, so at least you got the hands.
As soon as they start facing the consequences they start screaming and yelling like children. lol
Good job. A part of me feels for them though, look at the state of them and the area they live in. You become a product of your environment.
Don’t feel sorry for him. Feel sorry for his neighbours. He’s a complete knoooob head.
It is heartening to see at least one Constabulary doing a proper job! (Unlike the Met...) .Shame the courts dont follow suit.
