No idea which part you're referring to since you didn't put a timestamp but I know that in the UK, the traffic on the main carriageway has priority. Often a driver will move over or hold back for you, but it's up to you to go at the correct speed and find a gap. That's also why the rule about giving enough space between you and the car in front is so important

The number of people who refuse to let other motorists merge into moving traffic, and somehow think they're in the right by "refusing to let them cut me off", is both astounding and sad.

Definitely seems like the aggressor in this situation imo.
6:46 You can clearly see a guy coming from the right side, you're travelling at 14mph, he is clearly going to want to merge, how frigging hard is it to let him in? That's how people in Texas drive. At the same time, the other driver has no right to try to force him out of his lane. They're both idiots. One for not giving room for entry onto the road, and the other driver for refusing to pull in behind him. Both have too much ego to do the sensible thing.

The person merging into traffic has the responsibility to find their own way in. Drivers on the highway have zero responsibility to slow down, move over, or speed up to accommodate them. If there’s no space, they may have to stop. They don’t have any right of way.
7:00 was completely the fault of the guy not letting him in. It's a merge, the idea is that the person trying to merge in isn't stopping, and the guy already in the lane even sped up to not let him in.
@@brendanmedlin99 so, I went back and watched the video - this wasn’t an On-Ramp….this was someone getting onto the highway - possibly from a construction area. In that situation, you don’t get to try to just get onto the highway in the first small gap you see, you wait. I’ve been on the highway for 16 years now as a “professional” driver - aka a truck driver (I hate saying that because it sounds like saying call me dr… but it is what I do, and why the law is generally not on my side in most accident situations), and I can tell you merges like this cause a lot of accidents. It’s a lot worse when dump trucks and semis do it, but that also happens as well. I still stand by what I said about zipper merging being preferable, but this wasn’t an on ramp with the rules that typically go with that. Is it a dick move to speed up when someone is in the emergency lane trying to get on? Yes. Do you have to let them get on the highway into right of way from nearly a dead stop into flowing traffic? No.

I don't understand why people fight over a spot when lanes are merging.. if someone wants to be weird and not let me in at my time to properly merge into the lane just like everyone else and make me go behind him.. or the other way around I'm not losing my shit over it.. for example: 12:30 - The guy merging seen an open spot and the guy recording speeds up to cut him off.. there was enough space for the truck merging to fit, but the car filming speed up and said the other guy "cut him off"
I always get over in the next lane or speed up/slow down to let people in and I do so in that manner depending on how far/close they are. If they speed up first I’ll slow down, if they slow down, I speed up to let them in behind me. However in the vid they were pretty close to each other so getting into the next lane is obviously the best and safest choice to make.
There is such an easy solution for that. In germany we are forced by law to use the "Reißverschlussverfahren" when lanes are merging. It translates to "Zipper Procedure". Basically means one after another must make space and drive, right - left - right - left. Of course the Accelerating Line when driving onto a highway like the Autobahn is something different and you have to give the flowing traffic right of way. It only applies when a line ends or is blocked by something. But of course that does not mean that everybody is driving by law. People that don't make space are selfish farking dikheads and only hold up traffic behind them.

Half of these people recording just refuse to let people merge into their lane. Making it to their destination half a second earlier means so much to them.
What nobody wants to accept is that traffic is a queue and the person who starts their journey first should logically be the person who gets to their destination first. But because we all drive at slightly different speeds, we are allowed to "jump" the queue by passing and this works fine in free-flowing traffic. But once traffic slows up it just breaks the human brain. Imagine if you were queuing for tickets or whatever but there was this rule that people coming from a shorter distance away could "blend" into the queue "if there was space" and people were like trying to edge ahead of you all the time and sticking one foot in and then expecting you to back off and let them cut and raging out if you refuse to let them...

Personally I’d just let the white truck have that spot. No need to be a dickhead over it as long as everyone gets to where they gotta be
There is such an easy solution for that.

You merge by slowing down and allowing the traffic to pass. I can tell you've never driven a car correctly

@@jesseanguiano3304 there’s something called partial fault in an accident. I don’t think you really understood what he said. The truck in the beginning of the video who drove into shoulder of the road to allow the person illegally passing to not have a head on collision is a perfect example. You’re allowed to use the shoulder of the road and he did. He was in the right of way between the lines, but he chose to do the right thing…

18:34 they literally signaled to switch lanes and the video recorder speeds up on purpose to try to run them off the road. we love self incrimination.
For the 2nd time stamp, I think you may have put the wrong time. You time stamped the one where the vehicle flew through the light as it was red. And then the one after it is where the person didn't stop and flew through the intersection. Both examples were in front of the cops.
20:09 I hate when people think they’re morally right to judge someone for speeding past them, when they theirselves are also in the passing lane when they shouldn’t be (can result in a fine in some states). The blue van was not in the wrong at first, and what the semi trucks did is equally as bad.
That person complaining was an idiot. That's completely normal driving here. If the speed limit is 65mph you better be doing 80mph or move if you're in the left side
The blue jeep was fine until they decided to change lanes without a blinker (fineable in some states) and tailgate other drivers (reckless endangerment). After that, lost all credibility.
@@arkra12 i mean sure, they didn't use a blinker but it definitely seems like the person videoing was just pulling anything out of his ass to prove he's in the right. Let idiots be idiots, it's only going to get you into a situation like this if you're equal as stupid, like the video shows.
