This is not the same Kohga tho
@@matsmith6018 What makes you think it isn't the same Kohga? There's no evidence to suggest otherwise and their mannerisms are the same
@@NajaSide this is based on two speculations:
1) recall this is set 100 years before BOTW. In order for it to be the Kohga we fought in BOTW that would mean he’s at minimum 120 years old. We have Impa and Robbie as examples of members of the Sheikah who are well over a hundred years old and they have shrunken in size with age unlike Master Kohga in BOTW is in comparison (if we are under the impression he’s 120+ years old). This would then need to imply that he has a method to maintain his youth, which is unlikely as Purah is struggling to finalize that possibility.
2) the book Creating a Champion reveals Master Kohga is a title that is passed down. With this in mind it is possible that the Kohga we meet in BOTW is a descendant of this Kohga.
Yes and not to mention the Khoga in breath of the wild says "You're that Link guy we've been looking for!" upon meeting Link, implying it's his first time seeing him.
@@straife4107 That really could just be chalked up to Kohga not really being personally familiar with Link. You don't meet someone once and necessarily know them. And also, it's been 100 years. That's a long time for a memory to handle.
As far 100 years being a long time to live... I think Maz Koshia is a whole answer in itself there. He gets out of stasis and in spite of his old age can move just as well as any youth and can be re-fought. So he sticks around too.
Not to mention Impa in SS alone proves the Sheikah have indescribable longevity (after an indeterminate amount of years that is very probably more than a simple 100).
I really don't think a former Master Kohga would look and act literally identical to a newer Master Kohga and be completely different people. That feels... unreasonable, even for Zelda standards. If they were different Master Kohgas, I'm pretty sure their appearance- not to mention personality and mannerisms -would be different as well.
That’s a perfect voice actor for Kohga. Knowing how quirky this dude is based off of his fight in BOTW goes perfect with his line “I’m going to kill you all *to death*”. also can’t wait to see what else pops up in the lore from the quick shots of the other notable blade master and possible magic user:)

I don't know why people keep suggesting Vaati or Ghirahim. No character from a previous game has made a reappearance unless it was a direct sequel.
Once a villain is dead in the Zelda series (aside from ganon) they stay dead.
Well Vaati is in Minish cap and four swords adventures. I don’t recall them being a sequel but my Hyrule Historia is at home
Vaati is an especially strange prediction since Vaati was always purple and always acted alone; the one game that did have Vaati and Ganon (Four Swords Adventures) had Vaati as the unwitting face of Ganon's evil scheme, not a willing minion.
@@cxfxcdude Minish Cap, Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures all take place at different time periods and have different Links, but Vaati is sealed into the Four Sword in the first two and only killed in the third. Now that I think about it, if that guy is supposed to be the fortune teller, it could be another Agahnim situation where Ganon uses another body to trick the royal family into making preparations for his return.
The only reason Calamity Ganon was able to wreck Hyrule so bad is because they excavated the Guardians and Divine Beasts like the fortune teller told them to. It could be some sort of galaxy brain play by Ganondorf.

0:37 the mysterious fortune teller that was mentioned by Zelda and King Rhoam's journals. It could explain why she told the Royal Family of the Guardians down below, in order for Ganon to seize control of the Divine Beasts, Fortune Teller is holding an ancient core, perhaps the Fortune Teller is experimenting with the malice to see if it's capable of taking over, and the Yiga members are kneeling in front of the Fortune Teller, which means that she is a member of the Yiga clan, so she made sure Ganon would be ready to counteract the weapons from the ancient past.

2.2 Who's that new character...let's get into it
2.3 How is Kohga/Wizard related to the Zonai

@Samuel Chuchta Not really, but after watching Zeltik and the others for a little while you do see the patterns quite quick. When that happens they become extremely predictable and the content, once enjoyable...stops so. But thanks for coming out of your way to comment.
Calling it now: the mysterious figure is the fortune teller mentioned in the king’s diary in BotW. AKA the person who initially warned the king about Calamity Ganon’s coming return. They were a double-agent all along
It’s definitely not Vaati or Yuga. They’ve got a Gerudo symbol on the back of their robes, meaning the person is almost definitely a woman and of the Gerudo tribe.
The symbol on the cape of the mysterious individual at the end is very... mysterious. This seems to be a combination of the Gerudo clan symbol AND the Sheikah/Yiga symbol. What does it all mean? Would there be a link between the two clans, Gerudo and Sheikah we never have learnt before? A missing link? (no pun intended!)
The return of Aghanam perhaps?
The Gerudo symbol could just mean they work for Gannon or they're trained in Gerudo witchery, not that they themselves are Gerudo, but I could be wrong.

Hestu is giving him some fierce competition
Right now I’m thinking the last character is the fortune teller that was mentioned who “foretold” the calamity in order to trick the royalty into excavating the guardians and divine beasts as part of Gabon’s plan for revenge. Could definitely be wrong! But they look like that sort of “evil advisor” character.
I see you’re a victim of autocorrect as well.
@@Galaxia_EX wym gabon is the secret boss u get after defeating ganon with a wooden ladle in botw 1
@@mewlsies lemme guess, your uncle who works for nintendo told you about the secret boss gabon?
Remember the sidequest where you have to look for recipes in Hyrule Castle? One of them is 'the princess's favourite', and its a fruitcake. The other is the royal chancellor's favourite, and its a monster cake.
Everybody at the time thought it was a reference to chancellor cole from spirit tracks, but what if this new character actually is the chancellor the sidequest referred to...?

Everyone talking about Kohga and the Vaati looking guy, but no comments on the sick looking giant Yiga guy with the two swords. Disappointed.
Correct
He’s already in the og game
I noticed that! I just wasn’t sure if it was a unique character or a new captain type.
Mysterious character : *appear*
My brain : I don't need sleep, I need answer
I’m sure it’s yuga or a reencarnación of her
@No Oo i don’t really know how that game ended but if there’s still a way to pass trough the worlds thers a possibility that she is like a yuga decesor or something, because you can see the gerudo logo on the back (yuga is gerudo) then you can also see a part of her hair which is red and is as the type of hair as yuga, you can also see that “crown” thing that yuga has in her forehead, and as I already said she is working with the yiga clan which pourporse is revive ganon (btw I have just noticed yuga and yiga are quite similar names) and this can also reforce the theory that the body found in the trailer of botw2 is yuga (which is a theory which I didn’t believe posible but now I’m thinking on it)
@@socorrodelcarmen6863 Yuga is a guy btw.

Oh snap. Is that the fortune teller? Could that theory where the fortune teller leading the king astray correct?
That’s what I was wondering! All these other people casting their guesses, I’m with you on this one. We’ll just have to find out, although I’m so eager to know
Its yuga from link between worlds
That is what I was thinking.
I want to say its Girahim. And he orchestrated this whole thing by posing as a fortune teller

GUYS IM CALLING IT RIGHT NOW THAT DUDE AT THE END IS SOMEONE TRYING TO RESURRECT GANNON
I mean it would make sense. Urbosa says in her EX memory in BotW that the Yiga are plotting to resurrect Ganon. I wasn't really sure how they would do that, but after seeing this new villain... I'm sold.
I think thats actually gannonnn.the head gear looks similar dont you think?
...like Ghirahim?
@Matthew CHAN ...Ghirahim was literally the only dude trying to resurrect Ganon that had tacky makeup
@Matthew CHAN It's a long shot but could also be ghirahim. Don't forget he is was servant or sword I guess, of demise.
Joking aside
I think the cloaked character is the one that had his/ her statue moved in that quest in botw the one about the seven heroines with one of them being excluded from the rest and having copies of it in the yiga hideout
He has a voice now guys! I never thought I needed this!
Master Kogha 100 years ago: "Now for my college educated plan to destroy Link"

DEATH!! Thats the worst possible outcome!
THIS MAN IS EVIL !1!1!!1!!!!11++++
When I saw the wizard at the end, the first thing in my mind was Agahnim, since botw is situated in a far remote time, I guess is a descendant of Agahnim and of course trying to resurrect Ganon like in A Link to the Past.
THIS LOOKS SO SICK. the fact that this game is in the exact universe as botw and shows off so much of the backstory will be perfect to set up botw 2
Things I've observed from this trailer:
Gameplay:
* Kohga now has voice acting.
* This trailer, like the Purah and Robbie one, is filmed much like a memory from BotW. The same golden-fading, and white flash at the end.
* The Yiga Hole looks like it'll be a gameplay area, because of how many footsoldiers are seen in the same place.
Story:
There seems to be a new tier of Yiga soldiers, higher-ranking than Yiga Blademasters. However, whenever this rank is shown there is only one of them shown on-screen, which could mean that this is a special type limited to one person (maybe an heir to the title of Kohga? Idk)
The place where Zelda and Link are being attacked seems to be outside the Great Plateau (because of the huge wall decorated with Hylian stone monuments)
The strange figure in a black cloak shown at the end is also present when Kohga is shown sitting at his table (with the new Yiga rank standing behind him, leading me to think he may be a personal bodyguard or something like that)
Lastly: The strange figure shown at the end is wearing a cloak embroidered with the Gerudo symbol, along with a decorative design at the bottom of said symbol. This person is also wearing pointed shoes not unlike Skull Kid's. Their skin is very very pale, and especially his/her hands seem to be a greenish-teal color. This may just be the lighting, though.
But, when we get a close-up at his/her face, the person has a thin braid of hair coming forward in the front of the face.
This immediately makes me think of Impa from Skyward Sword, which leads me to believe (since we have already seen how Impa is intended to look in this game) that the forward-facing braid is a Sheikah custom. Which also leads me to believe that this figure is a woman, not a man. Also, at the collar and waist of his/her cloak there is gaudy gold jewelry, very thick. Its design makes me think of the strange hand from the Botw sequel trailer...
Also in the close-up of their face we can see that they are wearing reddish eyeshadow, and that they are wearing a symbol on their forehead that looks like an eye of malice.
This person seems to be an older character. (wrinkles can be seen)
Yiga footsoldiers are kneeling before him/her, in a secluded area that looks to be in some sort of forest. The fog in this wood reminds me of the Lost Woods, but that may just be for visuals. His left hand is holding some sort of floating contraption. This machine shines with the color of malice, and is at all times with him in this trailer, in both the scene with Kohga and with the footsoldiers. It looks strikingly similar to a giant ancient core, but seems to be corrupted with malice. I wonder if this person is experimenting on the ancient technology to see how malice may be compatible, but that last sentence is merely speculation.
The two most likely candidates I can think of for this person's identity: Maybe the owner of the strange hand from the sequel to BOTW's trailer, or the fortune teller. There's also the possibility of this character being Kohga's heir, but I don't think this is the case... they seem far too old for that. Actually I just now thought of another possibility: this person could be the original Master Kohga, before the one we see in BotW.
Let me know if I missed anything, and your thoughts on this list :)
Edit: this person may be a Zonai...but that is also just speculation from what I can see.
You have the BEST observation yet! imma follow you
That was a very good analysis!
